“Breathtaking experience. I have been trying out DC area restaurants for months, and Inca Social is my favorite. Heavenly seafood, juicy and well prepared and seasoned steaks, expert use of chimichurri-- this place is a true delight. My compliments to the chef and to Cesar, the server. Very polite, welcoming and attentive.“
“This was the tastiest and fastest to go order I've ever gotten. My aunt comes here all the time, she says she loves it because of the staff and the food is actually delicious. Took her advice so we came here together. The staff is the cutest and super friendly! Some of the members do not speak English but they go out of their way to understand your needs. Luckily my family and I are Spanish speaking so we had a brief conversation while we waited for our chicken. They have amazing options! My aunt got the whole chicken with 4 sides for $34 and I got the whole chicken with 2 sides for $28 (I think). They also have an option for a whole chicken 1/2 with 6 sides for $50! We didn't go with that option only because she was buying for her family and I was buying for mine. Sides are good portions and you have the option to choose between 4 individual sauces or a bigger container for the green and yellow sauce. The place is located in a busy shopping center so parking can be limited. Would recommended calling ahead if you do not plan on eating there only because of the parking situation! Overall the place is small, more suitable for smaller parties. It is very clean and well organized. Like I mentioned before we got our food super fast and the chicken was fresh and still warm after driving 20 mins back home. 10/10 for me!“
“I dined here on 4/20 with a friend and it was an excellent experience! After months of trying to get into this restaurant, I'm very glad that I had the opportunity to try this place.I thoroughly enjoyed the overall ambiance of the restaurant and the simplistic yet personal decor. It's a fully transformed establishment since its days as VAPiano. To start off, we were seated quickly and greeted by Ernesto. Ernesto was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and was very warm and inviting. He offered some excellent recommendations and was able to help me navigate the menu since most of the options were completely foreign to me.I greatly appreciated his enthusiasm and willingness to provide an excellent experience for us.We ordered Pisco Sours, Salmon Ceviche, Chicken Empanadas, Tostones Sampler, & the Calamari Fried Rice. All dishes were superb and I would definitely come back just to eat the Salmon Ceviche & Pisco Sour. Each with their own unique flavours and freshness.Again, I'd like to thank Ernesto for such a wonderful experience and for his close attention to us this evening !Dietary restrictions: Our server Ernesto asked us about our dietary restrictions prior to ordering food. Very smart thinking !“
“This restaurant delivers what matters most. Great food and great service. The food is fresh and flavorful. There is a wide selection! I have just opted to go down the menu everything is good. And the front end staff is patient, friendly and aims to please. Well worth the ride for excellent take-out!“
“I was truly impressed by the exceptional service I received at this establishment, with a rating of 10/5 for the level of attention and care provided. The food also lived up to my expectations, with each dish exhibiting excellent flavor and presentation.“
“I had the pleasure of dining at Pio Pio twice, and I must say they were truly delightful experiences. As a Peruvian myself, I was pleasantly surprised by how the food reminded me of my mother's home-cooked meals. The flavors were authentic and transported me back to my roots. What sets Pio Pio apart is their unwavering commitment to culinary excellence. They are constantly striving to improve their dishes, ensuring that each visit is a new and exciting experience. If you are in search of a restaurant that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, paired with delectable food that pays homage to traditional Peruvian cuisine, then I highly recommend Pio Pio. You won't be disappointed!“
“I love it because I walked all the way from the Franconia Springfield Metro Station. When I got there, my team FC Barcelona playing against PSG at the 70th. Minute tied 2-2. In the end, Barca scored and won the game 3-2. Love the food and I ate it using my hands. It’s the only way. I ate the rice with fork of course.“
“My husband and I went for lunch. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! We both ate a huge meal with beverages included for $21.00 and it was SOOOO delicious!! The restaurant was so clean as well.. I highly recommend visiting this establishment, you will not be disappointed!! 10-stars“
“10/10 must try! My partner, his brother, and I all got the chicken, plantains, and fried yuca and it was amazing! The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the yuca was fried to perfection, and the plantains were perfectly sweet! The yellow sauce and salsa verde were the perfect complements to the dish and each had their own wonderful sweet or spicy balance to them! The atmosphere is authentic and while there’s very little seating the food is something you could take anywhere if your patient enough to wait before eating!Parking: Parking is shared with other businesses in the strip so availability depends on the time of day.Kid-friendliness: I believe I saw a portion on the menu for kids but the kids I saw there were happy to get the chicken and French fries.“
“I don’t know how this place doesn’t have a line out the door all the time. I’ve waited to write this review for a whole year to make sure we didn’t have a fluke experience, or it wasn’t just good because it was a new place. This is easily the best Peruvian chicken place in the DMV. My wife and I have tried probably 15+ places, and this place is the best. 1) it’s always extremely clean. 2) the (assumed) owner is super nice. It’s always the same older gentlemen at the register with a goatee. 3) the food is ALWAYS fresh. We’ve came early, late, in between lunch and dinner hours, it doesn’t matter. Our fries and plantains are always piping hot, and the plantains are always cooked PERFECTLY. The chicken is always moist and tender. The chicken also tastes different and better here - it is marketed as charcoal chicken, and you can taste that. It has that “summer bbq cooked on a charcoal Webber grill” taste, unlike some other places that taste like a gas grill.I personally don’t care for the Peruvian style sauces, but my wife loves them. They offer the 3 selections, a yellow, orange, and green, with no spice to pretty spicy.Highly recommend!“
“Came to Chilcano's for the first time with my family this weekend and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was expectacular. We were served by Julio and we couldn't have asked for a better server. He was very kind and informed us about every dish. We will be definitely coming back. Thank you for everything Julio.“
“Chicharron sandwich was yummy (forgot to take pic bc I munched pretty fast). I thought it was expensive but the sandwich was a big boy and the pork was really tender. Owner's very friendly and they make their stuff daily. The place was clean (especially the bathroom). Will be back to try their house-made desserts“
“Just found out about this place and was excited to check it out. We ordered the pollo saltado and llomo saltado to go. Service was quick. Food was reasonably priced and SO GOOD. So happy to have a Peruvian restaurant in Fairfax. We'll definitely go back again.“
“I was happy to go out of my way to purchase again a full chicken from Wild Chicken in Fairfax City Virginia. The first time I enjoyed there flame cooked rotisserie chicken was very memorable. I found the flavor is very unique a special recipe, worthy of returning to. Its not at all like a fast food rotisserie chicken place, its unique, so I expect to pay a bit more for the quality. I know I'm supporting local business and the staff that produces the wonderful food. Cheap and inexpensive rotisserie chicken can be found anywhere. The taste and memorable flavor of Wild Chicken is only found in Fairfax City Virginia and worth the drive to enjoy it! I’ll visit again, you can be sure of that. 11/18/2023 Katherine“
“Stands out as a gem for those with a penchant for Peruvian flavors. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an ambiance that was both clean and festive, making the dining experience not just about the food but also the joyous atmosphere it's served in. The staff at the register were exceptionally welcoming, contributing to a very pleasant start to the meal. The food, oh the food! It was nothing short of spectacular. Spin Pollo offers a larger selection list than what you might find at typical Peruvian chicken spots, ensuring that there's something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for the classic Pollo a la Brasa, bursting with spices and cooked to perfection, or you're looking to try something different from their expansive menu, you won't be disappointed. The flavors were deep, rich, and beautifully balanced, showcasing the best of Peruvian cuisine. The food came out piping hot, a clear indicator of the freshness and care with which each plate was prepared. It's rare to find a place that pays such close attention to the quality of both its service and its cuisine.“
“Has their fish ceviche and it was amazing. Also had their grilled fish. No pics unfortunately but it was ok. The menu says grilled but it was actually fried. Plus, I don’t like tilapia and that’s the type of fish it was which was disappointing. But my ceviche was the star of the show! Definitely amazing. Added the onions and the hot sauce and I was in love!“
“I had the joy of trying this business for the 2nd time. Obviously, the first time I ate a Chicken and the 2nd Time I wanted to try the Chicken Soup. It was great! Had enough Chicken and Vegetables to suffice my hunger! You can always get rice on the side in case it isn't enough. This Soup is great for either sick days or hangovers! Will be back soon!“
“This is the best restaurant ever!!!! Work had me in a hotel directly next-door to Cocorico’s and I ate there almost every day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all amazing. The staff is super friendly and pointed in the right direction of several great choices to order. If you have never ate here, I highly recommend you choose too! Nothing bad on the menu! Enjoy!!!“
“What a great place to have real Peruvian food! The Lomo Saltado, Ceviche and Chicken Soup are excellent to name just a few of the extensive menu items. The dine-in restaurant is spacious and inviting, the service is friendly, and the location is convenient. The new management has really done wonders, and creates a very nice dining experience. Take out and delivery options are available, and the prices are very reasonable. This is THE place to experience Peru !“
“5/5 stars and a little slice of Peru in the neighborhood. Friendly staff, beautiful set-up and delicious food. I got the arroz chaufa and a smoothie. Ingredients were fresh and so tasty! I will be coming back to try the lomo saltado and more. Viva Peru! ??Dietary restrictions: I asked the smoothie be dairy free“
“The food was great, and the waitress was very helpful in explaining dishes I was not familiar with (I think she recognized that I probably had an inaccurate picture of seco in my head when I heard it described as “beef stew”, and she was right haha). The pop/soda is fountain, not can, so there are refills. The atmosphere was nice; the booths and tables are not too crowded together, and the music is an interesting blend of Spanish- and English language songs.I’ll definitely be back to try more food.“
“We had an excellent experience at this restaurant on Sunday. The male trout that was in the special was delicious. We also ordered a steak with pepper, aji de gallina and some noodles. The aji de gallina was not what we expected compared to the trout, but it was not bad. The prices were decent and the food was of very good quality. The Peruvian flavor that does not disappoint. The service was good too. This restaurant will continue to be one of our food options in the area.“
“This is the best restaurant I've ever gone to. They have the best chicken and it's very tasty!! No other restaurants serve this chicken that tasty. The staff are very friendly. I recommend you to go here. They have the best food!It is the best restaurant I have ever been to. They make the chicken very delicious!! No other restaurant does it like this. I recommend you come here. They have the best food.“
“This place is nice. The ambience is a little dull, and the food took about 40 minutes. We watched people who came 20 minutes after us get served first. Carne asada was pretty good, but the slaw was really off-putting. Chicken pupusas are $2.95 and big for the price you get, so I would say that is the star of the experience. Tres leches was quite disappointing and dry. The chicken pupusas are nice to get here, but everything else is meh compared to Parrita’s.“
“Spin Pollo is absolutely one of the best pollo a la brasa I had in the Us. I was incredibly wowed because the place is very little but they serve really good pollo a la brasa. Chicken is juicy, well prepared, potatoes are just like in Perú, cut, fresh, fried there not industrialized potatoes, sauces are good. Even one time my husband brought me chicken from falls church to Miami and the chicken was impecable. Love this place!“
“Insanely good ! I love the chicken, it has been consistently good the last 10 years. The sauces are also amazing. I could eat the green sauce with anything. I think the sides are great too, especially rice and beans, plantain and yucca. My only feedback, which you can see in the photo, is it’s not clear why the “Fiesta” meals are actually more expensive than buying separately. Sides cost £4.75 individually (not pictured). I wish I understood that, because why should someone get the fiesta meal?“
“We got takeout for dinner from this place and we were hesitant since we didn’t know anything about it. OMG, you have to try this food. It was amazingly good. The chicken was juicy and smoky… just perfect. My 9 yr old ended up almost eating the whole chicken by himself and he’s a picky eater. Highly recommend. The ceviche was spicy and on point. We will be coming back for more.“
“Food was really tasty although presentation in the warming area was not the best. They offered three different types of rice but the person behind the counter didn't have a good understanding of the differences to describe them. Definitely a take out place, and it was within walking distance to a hotel I was staying in.“
“Last Sunday, Rolando and Rosario our dear friends introduced us to this charming restaurant for dining and entertainment. The 6 men band were playing in the party room the most fantastic Latinos and other music on stage, it was a full concert. The owner was very sweet to greet us and the waitress were so attentive, our food were so tasty. This made our Sunday special, we were so delighted that we found this secret oasis so close to our home. We are looking forward to go back every Sunday bringing more friends with us.“
“The best charcoal chicken in the area, the chicken with steak is really delicious, as are the fries and yucca. They have a wide variety of soft drinks (Sangria my favorite) and aguas frescas. The place is very busy but the staff who work there are friendly and efficient. You can also order and pay over the phone.“
“Very delicious & high quality chicken, both sauces are phenomenal when mixed together. The interior design is colorful and fun. Dining in will be your best choice, considering you'll want to order a second time after you're finished. When asking about allergens we were met with a very quick response. We'll undoubtedly be coming back quite frequently from now on.“
“For lunch we ordered a delicious take-out meal: one whole chicken (all white meat—yes, it’s possible here), rice and beans, and fried plantains. Everything was fantastic! The chicken was moist and flavorful. The spices on the rotisserie chicken are amazing. Yummy!!! Clearly, lots of people love their recipe because I saw lots of customers picking up food in addition to those eating in the restaurant. We liked our choices of sides. The fried plantains were nice and sweet. The rice and beans (light red kidney beans) had excellent seasoning. This family-owned restaurant has been serving delicious food for over 20 years. Many customers are from Latin America, and they appreciate the homemade, fresh taste of their Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken. I love it and will be coming here again soon.“
“Trouble communicating with the staff behind the counter so another guest in line helped me. Tried the fried trout $17.99, 1/2 chicken plate $14.99, yucca fries, fried rice, corn and onion in tomato salad. Everything was good except the yucca fries pick something else.“
