“We brought my mother in law here for her first time and let me just say—it was love at first bite. The char-grilled oysters? Life changing. She was mid-sentence and just stopped to close her eyes and savor (I kid you NOT!) that’s when I knew we made the right decision in bringing her to one of our favorite spots. I’ve been coming here with my husband for a while now, and they never miss. We split the grilled fish (always fresh, always flavorful), and we request the chili oil on the side because a little goes a long way. Pro tip: their house hot sauce? We buy it every time we’re there. We also ordered the ceviche (refreshing, balanced, and beautifully plated, and their margarita is one of the few in town that actually tastes crafted—not syrupy. The War & Pisco cocktail was a surprise favorite for my MIL; light, sparkling, with a perfect hint of raspberry and basil. The vibe is cozy but lively, perfect for a date night or introducing someone to your go-to local gem. Every time we visit, the food is consistent, the service is kind but never pushy, and we leave talking about what we’ll order next time.“

“went to try it for the first time and WOW!! the aroma smacks you in the face when you get out of the car. and inside, it just gets better. the counter staff greeted me instantly with a kind smile and a "blessings". she helped me with selecting items from the menu and we got the 2 meat bowl with steak, chicken and fried rice. I joined my family outside in the lovely open grassy area and waited as my kids and dog played. I went back in to get my order and she told me that she would bring it to me. 'we do it for everyone'. I thanked her and went back out. shortly after, she arrived with our meal and joyfully chatted with us, and the other family waiting, for a moment. we shook hands and she departed, however we did not, because I could not wait to try it and HOLY HEAVEN what a bite!! this place is full of amazing smells, people and food!! do not miss this gem! also, we live a little way out and the meal was still piping hot when we got home to finish it. “On Sept 9 2022 my friends visited Carrabba in Williamsburg during our excusion. The server, Laura, was more of a treat than what we could have imagined. She was friendly, acompandating to us, the seasoned ladies. She knew what to say and how to interpret facial expressions. She didn't get upset when a dish had to be sent back. The manager was gracious also. But Laura, is the consummate server and needs to train others on how to be kind to others whether you want to or not. Give her a Raise!!! We will be back.“

“We had a wonderful dining experience from the welcoming greeters at the door to our wonderful server. The food was amazing from pea soup to steak to dessert, and the punch bowl! The Pringle’s ginger beer drink was very good, too. My daughter loved the oysters. It was a wholesome experience with live music and authenticity in the details (even the silverware is made in Williamsburg). It was also a treat to eat somewhere where historical figures dined in colonial times, but also really an art form to serve a menu inspired by recipes from the 1700s (and everything tasted amazing and fresh). The service was pretty impeccable for the whole staff (lots of servers, greeters, and staff).“

“I love this place. Coming from Maryland, we love our steamed crabs. It took us a few years to find where we could get some locally, but we finally found Carino's. Granted they aren't as big, but we've never had a bad one yet and he steams and seasons them perfectly. Maybe some day I'll be able to take a picture before I eat them all!! Oh, and don't forget to ask for some spiced steam shrimp!!“

“I was SO HAPPY when Bangkok Garden came to Williamsburg. I'm a big Thai food fan, and there was only one other option, quite a bit further away. I'm pretty sure I remember this right: this used to be a KFC and the owners converted it into a wonderful Thai restaurant, and it's one of the places I try to get my wife to go to when I get the call on where to eat.\n\nIt's on Richmond Road, just west of William and Mary. It would be easy to miss, other than the fact that they are two Thai restaurants straddling a Mexican place. The decor is like pretty much any Thai place. But the food is great, and fast, and really reasonable. Nothing fancy. Just really good food.“

“First time diners. Lovely restaurant that qualifies as fine dining or a special occasion. Service is professional and our waitress was polite, pleasant, familiar with the menu and willing/able to make recommendations. For the appetizer we had caesar salad which was fresh and included lots of cheese. For the entree we ordered the chateaubriand for two. It was excellent and well prepared. Staff made sure to check whether everything was prepared as ordered including meat temperature. Our meal was so nicely presented and served that we overheard another patron ask their waiter "What is that they're having?" We definitely will return when in the area.“
