“Three girlfriends and I stayed at the Tides Inn for a quick overnight stay to celebrate a milestone birthday , and one of the highlights was having our lunch at Fish Hawk Oyster bar. It’s delightful covered terrace overlooked both the pool and the river. I enjoyed a crab salad and one of my friends enjoyed her crab cake sandwich (so much crab, NOT all filler). The service was attentive even though they were busy. We enjoyed our day 1 lunch so much we returned for our day 2 lunch before we departed! There was a cocktail boat racing event happening at the resort so it was much busier. Their flat bread, salads, fried oysters were all delicious. We hit it at the right time and got a table but wait time grew to over an hour (due to the boat races) while we were enjoying our lunch. Management stepped in to help with service during peak times. Highly recommend if you’re near Irvington or staying at the Tides Inn!“

“My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Hope & Glory! The accommodations were beautiful and charming. We especially loved the flowers in the garden. The Inn was quiet and peaceful. The pool was perfect. We were walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff is incredible and we could tell they put a lot of heart into making sure their guests have a welcoming and special stay. They make you feel right at home. We will spread the word and sure hope to be back again! Thank you!!“
“This would have been an exceptional meal except for the dog that was begging for food. Someone brings a dog and lets it run loose?? Ok, we ate outside because it was an incredibly beautiful day. The views were stunning. The weather was just grand. A bit sunny, but hey, we were outside. It was all exceptional (except the dog that was allowed to run loose and beg food). The waiter was spot on and we had a great time. We started off with a charcuterie board that was ginormous, varied and tasty. That started the wine bottle off just perfectly. We also shared a crabcake that was an awesome start. I had the scallop dinner. Scallops have a fine line between cooked too much and too little and this was knocked out of the park. As near to perfect as I've ever had. IT was the most tasty seafood I've had in a long time. I can't wait to return and dine again inside.“

“All of the restaurants in Irvington were totally full and we were looking for a place that’s casual with great seafood. We found just that at KC’s.
Now we didn’t take part in the pool- but there were a ton of people playing. It’s nice because they have an adjoining room where you can eat and get away from the pool scene if you needed. We were good for all of it.
I did feel badly for the staff. Almost all of the tables were dirty so you can tell that not only were they short staffed, but they had gotten slammed just a bit before we got there!“

“Excellent service, beautiful setting, food was wonderful!“
“This is a go to for fresh and well priced seafood. Well worth the drive! Parking can be precarious, but worth the effort.
You'll find a variety of fresh fish, shellfish, and frozen options. They also have a great Mac and cheese with seafood.
They can provide advice on how to get your fresh seafood home. For my first visit, I appreciated how kind and knowledgeable they were.“
“Have had several meals here now (Goat Curry, Crab cake & Softshell Crab Sandwich, Seafood Platter) and all have been exceptional. Craige is an amazing chef! Unique flavors that are just delicious.“

“We love Sandpiper restaurant. The atmosphere, menu and staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed dinner there on a super busy night. My husband ordered the rib eye with sautéed shrimp and the steak was cooked to the perfect ordered temperature and the price was wonderful for all he received (salad, steak, shirmp and asparagus, $55 ish). I ordered what was listed on the menu as the Sanpiper Jumbo Lump crabcakes. They were fine but definitely not jumbo lump. Backfin crabmeat at best. My mistake was only asking if the crabmeat was fresh and not specifically asking if it was indeed jumbo lump. The filler was flavored nicely. Will definitely eat here again but will just order differently.“

“Gal greeting needs to be trained on what greeting means. Server excellent. Decent pour of wine. I’ve read reviews that said this food is like bar food. Definitely not bar food.
I had the snakehead fish bites. Asked the Chef to put very light blackening. Accommodated. I ordered the mac & cheese and the green beans to complement. Mac and cheese was delicious. I read a review that said the pimento cheese in it was not visible. It was not visible because it was totally chopped up. That allowed it to present its sweet flavor throughout. Key lime pie was good. Not a must unless you’re a dessert person.“
