“Had a nice lunch at the patio bar. I ordered lemon and lavender chicken quinoa and broccoli for the main entree’. It was so light and refreshing. The crab and spinach dip was also really good. Thank you Sara B for keeping my wine flowing lol. Can’t wait to go back“

“My Korean wife used to own/run this place by herself, she finally left it and came home. She died in 2020 just 3 years later. I can't say anything about the business as I haven't gone back there again.I hope the people there now do well.“

“Sat outside to see and listen to the band.
First off we are given a menu and told it was an old menu and some items were no longer available and prices would be $2-3 higher on most items.
I had the tempura shrimp basket w/ fries. A little too much breading on the shrimp for me but overall good.
Service was a little lacking. The server forget several times to bring drinks.

“Grabbed take out yesterday, and it was my first time at this restaurant. My husband and I got ox tail, curry goat, and jerk chicken. Everything was so flavorful! The jerk chicken was the best jerk chick i ever had. Rice and cabbage were good as well. More spicy than I am used to from other Carribean restaurants, but it was perfect for me. The lady that helped me was so nice, humble, and great spirit. I will definitely be back!!“

“Service was amazing. Food was super hot. Less 1 star because they didn't devein the shrimp before frying it. This is not the individual location but corporate or whomever they are buying the fried shrimp from. It's super gross....nobody wants to eat shrimp poop.

I will eat there again and just not get the fried shrimp. I got grilled salmon and husband got fried fish and we both had fried shrimp and I had fried clams. (Fried clams was more batter than clam but they are small so I get it). Green beans are my favorite side, they are delicious and better than the fish!“

“Great start for a roadtrip! Relaxed, homemade feel with a sensible menu. The meal choices are practical for the location and perfectly satisfying. It’s a perfect family owned, small business that shows great pride in their work. Will definitely stop by on the way back!

“I used to hate Skrimp Shack! My first two experiences with the taste of the food was horrible! It had this funny aftertaste and was extremely greasy. I told myself that I would NEVER go back in life. One day I wanted some fish and the closest place was Skirmp Shack so against my better judgment I decided to give them one final chance. As soon as I walked in the establishment I noticed that it didn’t smell that same. Like the air was clean instead of the heavy “old” grease smell. I ordered the fish dinner (whiting fried) with collard greens as the one side included and I also added eight Skrimp.
I opened my box of food and was immediately impressed! The color of the seafood was to perfection and the taste was delicious! The collard greens tasted as if they had got the recipe from an 80yo grandmother from the Deep South! In other words THEY WERE DELICIOUS!
I’m so glad I decided to give Skrimp Shack another chance after not going there for over two years. I don’t know what happened to bring this change on but I’m truly thankful for whoever made the change!
I now eat there 2-3x a week.

Parking: Spacious parking lot; with direct parking in front of the restaurant. Easy access to be within seconds away from the front door.

“Good place to get your sea food!! They have regular crab legs and king crab legs, but you know, when dealing with sea food, it can get pricey! You pay for what u get, so I don't mind spending getting great food! They have fish by pound, muscles, etc! “It was an amazing experience! The manager was so nice and approachable. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted. She also routinely came back and made sure that we always had what we needed. At first, I thought that the prices were a little expensive, but for the amount of food you get, and the quality, it is well worth the price. My food was hot, and delicious. The only downside to my meal was that I was supposed to get cheesy grits and I completely didn't realize that I didn't have them until I was putting my food in the to-go container LOL. I will definitely have to try the grits the next time.“

I guess I have to revise this review: they know me here now, the 5/5 stays, but when I say fast service, I mean fast service. The time we ordered to get our food was like 8 minutes.“

“Normally I would support this place. But now I will say I'm very disappointed in this situation they have put in. Right now we are living in a hotel and I asked for two smaller pizzas boxes because it's easier to separate for three people. They were like we have to charge you extra for the boxes yet it's no different than getting your order to go I don't see them charging for that“

I've tried a couple other spots in the area for lunch breaks. My coworkers and I keep coming back to China Star in Petersburg. Some of the best Chinese food we've had in years. ????“

“The Owner had multiple places around Central Virginia and I started eating at the first establishment and they can really make the traditional Jamaican dishes. I had the Jerk chicken, it sells out a lot. Curry chicken is great also , very fast service.“

“I have eaten here twice in two weeks since my mom has been in Bon Secours and food was a hit everyone. I had the veggies sub the first time and spaghetti with mushrooms and tomato sauce, the second time!!! Both were delicious.

For those who are funny about their french fries, as well, they offer crispy french fries. YUM!!!!

“I went there because I saw my niece with food from there, and it looked, and smelled very good. She and my sister said Top's China has the best Chinese food, and chicken wings! I don't eat Chinese food often, but, I decided whenever I do choose to eat some, I'll definitely get it there! The place was clean, staff were nice, friendly, and polite, and the food was good!

Parking: There's plenty of parking space, and, customers were constantly filling them. When one vehicle left, another was ready to park there.“
