“I came here for a good seafood meal that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Instead of the drive thru, I decided to change it up and eat inside. Count me very surprised.

The moment I walked in, the place smelled amazing, and I was greated after I took my first step in. The staff were polite and quick to take my order. You expect fast food places to be slightly dirty inside, but this place was spotless! The decorations were well done. Good music playing. If it wasnt for the occasional sound of someome taking drive thru orders, I would have mistaken this for a traditional sit-down resteraunt.

Dont let the surrounding area fool you. This place is definitly going to be a return visit for me.“

“I came to this place specifically to buy blue crabs to steam myself..but after talking to a few satisfied customers … I ended up having them steamed to order. And the cook did not disappoint me .. the crabs were seasoned just as I requested. Also, the place is clean , good customer service, & the one guy was very friendly…“

“First time visit after hearing about this place for some time. I’d consider it a good sign that the waiting area was full and there were plenty of prepared orders waiting to be picked up. The young lady that greeted us was extremely patient as we became overwhelmed by the amazing menu and helped us by making popular menu suggestions. Good choices were made. The pork chop was amazing and the fried okra and carrot soufflé complimented it well. The chopped steak was made even better by the mashed potato’s and green beens. A selection of extra sides rounded out the meal and left us having to save our deserts, sweet potato pie & peach cobbler, until tomorrow. “When I was there it was takeout only. Neat atmosphere with all the Jazz memorabilia. The lady at the counter was very nice. I had the fish sandwich with Mac and cheese. It had two nice filets. The Mac and cheese was AWESOME. I was full, but it was too good to not eat. If you like a little spice with the fish, I'd suggest trying the rinkeydink sauce. Thank you for the great experience.“

“When I say a 10 all around the board regarding this place!! They never disappoint me!! Every dish I’ve tried from here has been amazing. Shrimp and broccoli w/fried rice, shrimp lomein w/shrimp fried rice, shrimp egg rolls, the “ Famous Fried Chicken and onion fried rice and vegetable fried rice, even to the general tos chicken wings.. straight fire!! They are close on every Tuesday but other than that they are one and ready to serve and they are quick with getting your order ready for pickup and even dine in experience. The bathrooms are not nasty as most Chinese restaurants. They typically keep it clean. So yea I definitely recommend them for a Chinese cuisine experience!!“

“This is the epitome of a mom and pop place. There menu is extensive, with items that touch on deep connections through places like Norfolk and NOLA (Yat Gaw Mein). Got the pu pu platter to share recently and it was a hit. The quality has only improved over the past two years.“

So I did pickup via Toast . I purchased two pick 2 combos , one with barbecue fry chicken and one with fry chicken , both with oxtail as the second meat option with rice & peas and cabbage . The food was delicious , the oxtail being the most flavorful and the rice and peas was so good (like just the right amount of coconut milk and spices were used to make it ) . I wish the cabbage was more stirfried/crunchy but it tasted good all the same for being soft. The barbecue chicken and the fry chicken seems the same to me 🤷🏾‍♀. They had good music playing and the customer service I received on picking up my food was good . I’ll return for more good food 👍🏾“

“Ordered grilled chicken with rice. They loaded it with chicken, it's not how most restaurants where they give you a ton of rice and very little meat. I actually ate in my entree for 2 1/2 days (I bought this for lunch at work). Very affordable and the food was actually good, I really enjoyed it. The rice was flavorful.“
