“Honestly, hands-down, the best experience at a restaurant I had in Richmond, Virginia. I asked for the bartenders recommendation on cocktails, and they hit the nail on the head every time! Best lychee martini I’ve had in Virginia. The crab dip with caviar on top was definitely an experience. But I really appreciate was that the staff took the time to talk to us and understand our pallet and make recommendations that were spot on every time. 18/10 Experience“

“I’ve had lunch there several times and the food was excellent every single time. Fresh, carefully prepared and presented in an unassuming and light atmosphere. It’s not until you experience fresh fish prepared perfectly (seasoning that compliments instead of masking flavors, cooked to temperature and doneness perfection, never soggy or dry, not masked by over frying, and just melt in your mouth delicious) do you understand just how really wonderful and valuable this spot is for Richmond. You will not regret trying this place. And you will definitely go back again and again. Desserts are also made on site and are worth saving room to enjoy. “The food was delish!! The drinks were good. We had a blue berry lemon and Richmond Rita for drinks. As far as food, we had crab dip, tipsy fries, salmon and Alfredo pasta, and catfish shrimp basket.

“Our party of six enjoyed a lovely mid-afternoon lunch on the patio. Service was prompt, very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed several excellent appetizers including ahi tuna tacos, shaved octopus and the best mussels on the planet! Entree’s we enjoyed were Tuna Poke Bowl, Fried Grouper Sandwich with pickled pineapple just to name a couple. All of us enjoyed our visit and look forward to going again!“

“The seafood is always fresh and good! Most boils are in a bag full of spices and water creating a slushy juice inside of the bags! I don’t prefer that. The food here is steamed and placed in pans. I have been coming for a few years 5-6 times a month and there has never been an issue. Good Job!“

“The new prices are SHOCKING! The food for the most part is consistently great tasting. Mine was a little too salty the last time, but still really good. I usually get Just Fish which had been $12.35, the new price is $19.99, with tax $20.99!!! A $7.64 price increase for whiting is a DIABOLICAL increase for a carryout spot! Unfortunately Sugars is officially out of carryout, wait outside in the weather range for me. I wish the owners and staff a propserous safe 2026.“

“On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.“

Tonight we went for our anniversary and they made it so special with rose petals on the table and a complimentary dessert. “We recently had dinner at Beaucoup, and while there were definitely things we enjoyed, there were also some challenges that would make me hesitate before recommending it to everyone.

The highlights were exceptional. The beet salad was outstanding, and the bouillabaisse alone was worth the visit. Both dishes were beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and memorable enough that I would gladly order them again. The cocktail program is also excellent, with a creative selection that complements the menu well.

The service was another standout. Our servers were friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. Despite a busy dining room, everything arrived promptly, and we felt well taken care of throughout the evening.

The biggest drawback was the atmosphere. The restaurant was extremely loud, and the tables were packed very closely together. The combination of the noise level and cramped seating made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the meal. By the end of dinner, I was ready to get outside and enjoy a little breathing room.

The menu is somewhat limited, so if oysters, seafood, or steak aren't your favorites, I would suggest reviewing the menu before making a reservation. That said, I appreciated seeing a vegetarian special available as well.

Overall, the food and service were excellent, and the beet salad and bouillabaisse were so good that they more than made up for the crowded, noisy environment. Despite the challenges, I'll absolutely be back—hopefully for another bowl of that incredible bouillabaisse.“

“First time at Edo’s last night. There was a couple walking up the stairs in front of us as we went in, and when we got to the door, a waitress said “I need that cup” and yanked it out of the woman’s hand as she walked off. She was the same waitress that sat us, but not who took our order. The waitress who took our order was extremely rude almost the entire time. A couple of times she brought food out and put it on our table AS she’s walking by. I stopped her once, to ask if we could have our bread warmed as it was cold. She barely stopped as she said “no.” And continued walking. The waitresses were rude and made me feel so uncomfortable with their terrible attitudes. Atmosphere is a little cramped but it was fine. The food was AMAZING though. It was really hot, and the pasta portions were GENEROUS.“

“We left our brother's after a cookout, and our son was hungry??‍♀️. McDonald's is not an option, and instead of Royal Farms or stopping in the city, we decided to stop here, and get crab legs. It was $20, and they seasoned and steamed them for us. We took them home, melted our own butter, and my son and I ate our fill! They were delicious! Thankfully, Dad just cracks them, and doesn't eat them. Thankful that we visited, and will keep it as an option in the future.“

“It's been a few years since I visited El Caporal in person. We were hungry after going downtown for a doctor's appointment so we decided to have dinner out.

This is such a great little restaurant. Extremely fast service, delicious, fresh food. Mom ordered a taco salad, I got #4 and requested the verde sauce which is amazing. The folks across from us ordered a great looking dessert before leaving, and we were jealous of the margarita ordered by the gentleman who took the table. Sadly we don't drink these days but lots of great looking cocktails were going by.

Chips were fresh and warm, salsa and white sauce were fresh.

$38 for the two of us with tip, two entrees and a diet Pepsi.

I ordered the Philly steak sub (juicy, loaded with perfectly grilled meat, peppers, onions, and melted cheese), the chicken gyro (tender, well-seasoned meat wrapped with fresh veggies and that addictive white sauce), and a side of crispy golden onion rings that were hot and flawless. Everything came out fast, fresh, and delicious—best combo meal I’ve had in ages. 5 stars hands down!“
