“I am struggling to write this review because everything about this experience was so stupid-good that I am at a loss for words.

The service? Stupendous. The food? I literally cried a little bit when it was gone. The vibe? Impeccable. Come as you are, as long as “you are” means you want to enjoy glorious seafood.

Here’s what I will do on my next visit:
1. Book an early reservation, say 4pm. Lay waste to the happy hour menu. I’m talking $1 oysters, $30 bottles of vino verde. Grab a ceviche that will make you doubt every ceviche you have ever had to date. Eat some fat shrimp. Get a tin of tuna belly with cocktails - and ask for suggestions; there are some thoughtful and magical pairings to enjoy.
2. Pay up and go for a walk.
3. Come back for your cleverly-arranged 7:00pm reservation. Do EVERYTHING. Order it AGAIN. Maybe skip the conserva and get dessert instead; the banana ice cream sundae was calling my name. Doesn’t matter, just make sure you do this experience twice in one night.
4. Do you have the intestinal fortitude to repeat steps 2 and 3? I do not, but I would respect the heck out of anyone who can. You do you.“

“I’ve had lunch there several times and the food was excellent every single time. Fresh, carefully prepared and presented in an unassuming and light atmosphere. It’s not until you experience fresh fish prepared perfectly (seasoning that compliments instead of masking flavors, cooked to temperature and doneness perfection, never soggy or dry, not masked by over frying, and just melt in your mouth delicious) do you understand just how really wonderful and valuable this spot is for Richmond. You will not regret trying this place. And you will definitely go back again and again. Desserts are also made on site and are worth saving room to enjoy. “On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.“

“We recently had dinner at Beaucoup, and while there were definitely things we enjoyed, there were also some challenges that would make me hesitate before recommending it to everyone.

The highlights were exceptional. The beet salad was outstanding, and the bouillabaisse alone was worth the visit. Both dishes were beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and memorable enough that I would gladly order them again. The cocktail program is also excellent, with a creative selection that complements the menu well.

The service was another standout. Our servers were friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. Despite a busy dining room, everything arrived promptly, and we felt well taken care of throughout the evening.

The biggest drawback was the atmosphere. The restaurant was extremely loud, and the tables were packed very closely together. The combination of the noise level and cramped seating made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the meal. By the end of dinner, I was ready to get outside and enjoy a little breathing room.

The menu is somewhat limited, so if oysters, seafood, or steak aren't your favorites, I would suggest reviewing the menu before making a reservation. That said, I appreciated seeing a vegetarian special available as well.

Overall, the food and service were excellent, and the beet salad and bouillabaisse were so good that they more than made up for the crowded, noisy environment. Despite the challenges, I'll absolutely be back—hopefully for another bowl of that incredible bouillabaisse.“

“The seafood is always fresh and good! Most boils are in a bag full of spices and water creating a slushy juice inside of the bags! I don’t prefer that. The food here is steamed and placed in pans. I have been coming for a few years 5-6 times a month and there has never been an issue. Good Job!“

We enjoyed several excellent appetizers including ahi tuna tacos, shaved octopus and the best mussels on the planet! “First time at Edo’s last night. There was a couple walking up the stairs in front of us as we went in, and when we got to the door, a waitress said “I need that cup” and yanked it out of the woman’s hand as she walked off. She was the same waitress that sat us, but not who took our order. The waitress who took our order was extremely rude almost the entire time. A couple of times she brought food out and put it on our table AS she’s walking by. I stopped her once, to ask if we could have our bread warmed as it was cold. She barely stopped as she said “no.” And continued walking. The waitresses were rude and made me feel so uncomfortable with their terrible attitudes. Atmosphere is a little cramped but it was fine. The food was AMAZING though. It was really hot, and the pasta portions were GENEROUS.“

“It's been a few years since I visited El Caporal in person. We were hungry after going downtown for a doctor's appointment so we decided to have dinner out.

This is such a great little restaurant. Extremely fast service, delicious, fresh food. Mom ordered a taco salad, I got #4 and requested the verde sauce which is amazing. The folks across from us ordered a great looking dessert before leaving, and we were jealous of the margarita ordered by the gentleman who took the table. Sadly we don't drink these days but lots of great looking cocktails were going by.

Chips were fresh and warm, salsa and white sauce were fresh.

$38 for the two of us with tip, two entrees and a diet Pepsi.

“I live Yoshi Sushi! They have always given me great service and very tasty food. I worked with sushi restaurants for about 10 years and I can say that the quality is great for the price. I always get the Tropical roll, it’s like dessert. The sushi rice is delicious, cooked just right. Nothing worse than sushi with overcooked rice. The foods that come from the kitchen are also great. Shrimp and veggie tempura, hibachi, and yaki soba are among my favorites.“
