One thing I love is the bar seating area. It's a great spot to grab a drink, catch up with friends, or enjoy a meal without committing to a full table. The cocktails are excellent, and their happy hour is definitely worth taking advantage of.

The food is where Cornerstone really shines. The salads are fresh and flavorful, and the crispy Caesar salad is one of my favorites. Sometimes a Caesar salad can be forgettable, but this one absolutely isn't.

The steak was cooked beautifully, and the truffle pasta deserves its own recognition. The truffle flavor is rich without being overpowering, and it's one of those dishes that immediately makes you want another bite before you've even finished the first one.

The atmosphere is warm, the staff is friendly, and the food consistently delivers. Overall, Cornerstone Pub & Kitchen is an easy recommendation and one of the better dining experiences in the area.”

In that light, Campo Di Vino is more than their delicious and artfully prepared food. They offer a sense of community with each item on the menu. “Don’t sleep on Indian-Nepali Kitchen— best Indian food in Vermont! The dishes are packed with so much flavor, the portions are generous, and the owners are super friendly! We jump at the opportunity to stop in and try something new every time we are in Montpelier. On one of our visits, my partner wanted a beer, and the owner let him try an imported Indian ale from his own stock. So good! Grab take out, or even better drop in and get the full experience!!”

“This is a beautiful spot by the winooski river, we ate on the outside porch with a view of the river, even saw a mother Robin feeding its young in a nest in the rafters. I had linguine pescatore which was delicious, my partner had scampi e cape sante also delicious but unfortunately both meals were light on the scallops hers had 1, also I have to wonder why some sort of bread wouldn’t be served with these dishes. I did mention to staff after and they offered to compensate which I turned down but was made sure I would be treated next time we’re in the area The staff here are great and service was quick, definitely a place to go”

“Bent Nails Bistro has been reborn as Bent Nails Roadhouse, and the new location down the road in Middlesex is pretty groovy. We tried the burger, kale salad, and French dip sandwich, and all were tasty. We’ll definitely be back for more. The larger space also provides even more room for the creative and eclectic artwork, which is worth checking out on its own. Lots of cool pieces and a great overall experience!”

Delicious food (the home fries are an especial jewel in their crown) and very generous pitcher of (real, of course) maple syrup. Embodies everything I love about Plainfield. Music selection is quite varied and eclectic and yet each song is somehow the perfect vibe. Decor makes no sense and is still exactly right. More than worth a visit!”
