“Cornerstone Pub & Kitchen is one of those places that manages to do everything well. Whether you're stopping in for cocktails, dinner, or happy hour, the entire experience feels polished, welcoming, and consistently enjoyable.

One thing I love is the bar seating area. It's a great spot to grab a drink, catch up with friends, or enjoy a meal without committing to a full table. The cocktails are excellent, and their happy hour is definitely worth taking advantage of.

The food is where Cornerstone really shines. The salads are fresh and flavorful, and the crispy Caesar salad is one of my favorites. Sometimes a Caesar salad can be forgettable, but this one absolutely isn't.

The steak was cooked beautifully, and the truffle pasta deserves its own recognition. The truffle flavor is rich without being overpowering, and it's one of those dishes that immediately makes you want another bite before you've even finished the first one.

The atmosphere is warm, the staff is friendly, and the food consistently delivers. Overall, Cornerstone Pub & Kitchen is an easy recommendation and one of the better dining experiences in the area.”

In that light, Campo Di Vino is more than their delicious and artfully prepared food. They offer a sense of community with each item on the menu. “Penzo makes the perfect pizza. The dough is baked just right and there are enough tasty menu options that we can have a different meal each time we go. They are super friendly and just want to make the world a better place through good food. I'd also add that their prices are below the curve. We miss you in Montpelier!!!”

“I went to the Wayside Restaurant the other day. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. She did a great job. The food was ready in a short time and was delicious. I was very satisfied and it also is clean and neat. Definitely would recommend the restaurant.”

“I really enjoy this local bar and restaurant. It was a mainstay in downtown Montpelier that moved 15 minutes out of town. Now that it's summer we are making an effort to go more and see live music, and do trivia night. The art and atmosphere here are top notch, as is the food, bar, and exceptional service. They have a pinball table, which is fun, and campfires outside certain nights. I'd highly recommend it if you are in the area, or make the trip if you aren't!”

“Every time I've been, the menu has been almost entirely different and I've ordered a wide sampling from the menu. I've test to have a single bite of food that wasn't thoughtful, intentional, perfectly prepared, and delicious. The bar program is also fantastic, as is the service. I cannot recommend this spot highly enough!”

“Royal Orchid has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Montpelier whenever I'm craving Thai food. I've been on a serious Thai food kick lately, and every meal I've had here has completely hit the spot.

One of my favorites is the fried rice with squid. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. It's the kind of meal that keeps you thinking about it afterward.

The atmosphere is also really welcoming. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes the whole dining experience feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.

The only thing that surprised me was the dessert selection. After such a strong meal, I found myself wishing there were a few more dessert options to choose from. It's not a dealbreaker by any means, but it was one of the few areas where I felt there could be a little more variety.

Overall, if you're looking for great Thai food in Montpelier, Royal Orchid is absolutely worth visiting. Great food, welcoming service, and a consistently enjoyable experience.”

“This is a beautiful spot by the winooski river, we ate on the outside porch with a view of the river, even saw a mother Robin feeding its young in a nest in the rafters. I had linguine pescatore which was delicious, my partner had scampi e cape sante also delicious but unfortunately both meals were light on the scallops hers had 1, also I have to wonder why some sort of bread wouldn’t be served with these dishes. I did mention to staff after and they offered to compensate which I turned down but was made sure I would be treated next time we’re in the area The staff here are great and service was quick, definitely a place to go”

“Don’t sleep on Indian-Nepali Kitchen— best Indian food in Vermont! The dishes are packed with so much flavor, the portions are generous, and the owners are super friendly! We jump at the opportunity to stop in and try something new every time we are in Montpelier. On one of our visits, my partner wanted a beer, and the owner let him try an imported Indian ale from his own stock. So good! Grab take out, or even better drop in and get the full experience!!”

“What a gem of a spot! Easily the tastiest pizza in town! A higher price point than other places in town and worth every extra cent. The person who greeted and helped us was so welcoming and helpful. They also made a very tasty drink! we got our food to go, but ended up hanging out to play the Godzilla pinball machine in back. “Just want to start by saying Pho Capital has genuinely become one of those places I accidentally think about way too often. Like I’ll be minding my business and suddenly I’m in a full pho/Pad Thai craving spiral.

I tried the chicken Pad Thai and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was sooo good. Like dangerously good. The kind where you tell yourself you’ll save some for later and then… you absolutely do not.

Also got the chicken dumplings and ?? why were they THAT good. And whatever spicy sauce they serve with them needs a warning label because it will fully wake you up. Not like “oh a little kick”—no, like hello, you are alive, feel everything type of spice.

But what really threw me (in the best way) was the smoothies. At a place like this?? Unexpected. They’re more like a slushy consistency but in a good way… like freezing, brain-freeze-inducing, perfect after getting humbled by the spice. Actually kind of obsessed !!

“generally a decent place, but tired of it just being closed constantly with no explanation, especially of recent. hasn't been open ONCE since before and after Thanksgiving. not too many alternatives in the area; Aradas is HIGHLY overpriced and subpar and Aztec is very mediocre for the $$$. please open up again.”
