“First time there and absolutely loved it! So easy to get to right off the ferry. Staff is so friendly, menu options are great with lots of choices including bowls, sashimi, salads and tofu for vegetarian options. Love the fun drinks and snacks options. Plenty of covered outdoor picnic table seating and open air concept. Quality seemed great. Ordered poke bowls including a special of the day. Would definitely go back!“

“Billy Beach used to be one of my favorite sushi spots before COVID, so I was curious about this place that replaced it. AA sushi kept most of the dining area the same. It seems like they changed the flooring because I don't remember it being so slippery, even all the way to the restrooms. Ordering is similar to dim sum where you fill out a form with what you want to order. The menu is kind of like conveyor belt sushi where you have to match the colors to the prices. That was annoying having to do because later on when I got my itemized receipt, I realized the prices don't even match. The king salmon nigiri is almost $1 more than what the menu marked. Who knows what else is wrong on the menu, so they need to update their menus.

I like this concept of serving smaller rolls, so I can try more different things. At other sushi spots, I usually get stuck having to decide which rolls to order, so I don't overeat, even though I want so many. I noticed some other rolls people ordered were very tiny all around, even though they're half sizes. The Godzilla roll I ordered was regular sized. Most/all of the sauce was on the plate instead of the roll, so I forgot to sauce my first bite.“

“Sunny Teriyaki (specifically the one next to Fishermen's Terminal) is the best teriyaki I've ever had - in this city, in this country, in my life! It's my absolute favorite because of the way they cook the chicken, the texture of the chicken, the browning/grilling, and the sauce. They have super great service. I always call ahead and pick up in store. Can't recommend enough. Cannot understand why they don't have 5 full stars, whoever rated less than a 5 does not have good taste.“

“I've been to a few other teriyaki places in the area, but none has given me amazing food and customer service as consistently as here! The cashier (keep forgetting to ask his name ?) always welcomes me with a smile. Food is always fast and fresh, and the cashier always makes a handle for me so I can ride home with food in-tact. Took awhile to come out. When it arrived, it was still hot from the wok, I mean searing, first bite burnt my lips.

“I've eaten at this place numerous times - friendly and thoughtful staff, relatively fast service, and good food. A little pricey for what you get but certainly worth stopping by if you're in Magnolia.

The "okay" rating from the health inspector is a little sketchy, not gonna lie, but I've never gotten sick here.

The place has small town sushi shop vibes, and is great if you're in the area. Maybe not worth traveling a great distance for but still quite good.“

“Had this awhile back and had to have it again when I was back in town. Had the Katsu Curry this time which gave what I expected. The server (Yeong I believe) was super friendly and hospitable beyond what I expected! Perhaps he just liked us or we were a big group but he served us some complementary sides that were delicious. The fried gyoza was bomb. The whole place was decorated for Halloween. I hope to return to this place sooner than later.“

“DELICIOUS sashimi. I really hope the owners find this comment. I'm leaving this review because my conscience won't allow me not to. Basically, I shared a very pleasant $90+ meal with a couple friends. However, I'm embarrassed to say that I'm not well-practiced/educated in tipping because I've so rarely eaten out in all my life. I SEVERELY under-tipped them for this meal, and I just feel awful because it was AMAZING service on top of really decent sushi and better sashimi.“

“Came here the other day with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the volcano, dynamite, and unagi rolls and they were all pretty tasty. I’m always hesitant trying new sushi places because often times the rice is too hard or sweet, fish not fresh, and sauce-to-roll balance off, but Azuma made some pretty good cooked-fish sushi rolls. “Edit: I think my original review doesn’t do the justice to this place so I’m updating it. This is an absolute best sushi place in Seattle. Sometimes I want sushi on Sunday and they are closed on Sunday which is the only reason I try sushi in other places. And every time I end up disappointed and regretting ordering from anywhere else, because nobody matches the quality of Sam’s sushi. Sam’s sushi are the best in the city.

“My 7-year-old son loves Joy Teriyaki. The Bento Box is one of the best around. I personally think the fried shrimp are the best you can ever find (seriously, they are so good!). The service is always great. I left my hat here and they saved it for me to collect the next time I came in.
