The fish and chips were amazing also, but that clam chowder… WOW! The owner makes it fresh every day. The owner and staff are very friendly. Husband had the Steak Dip Sandwich which looked good. Our view out a large window was right at the water and we watched the sunset. The wait staff was helpful (even though the kitchen was OUT of a lot of the menu items!) We were there Monday and the weekend had been very busy.“

“Our server, Laura, was great. Not sure on some of the negative reviews here but our experience was amazing. Hubby had biscuits and gravy and it was really good. Biscuits tasted fresh and fluffy and the sausage gravy was very tasty. I had the Benedict and you got to choose what type of meat or their vegetarian version too. I've never been able to choose anything other than ham so that was such a treat to have bacon instead. Very tasty!“

“We chose Packer’s for my husband’s 93 birthday. Our group of 10 was comfortably seated in a private room attached to the beautiful restaurant. I earlier arranged to have wine and appetizers on the table when our guests arrived. Our guests had selected their entrees ahead of time so there was no confusion or delay. As a result, our guests were immediately able to enjoy conversation, wine, and appetizers. The service was outstanding! Our server thoughtfully cut and served our birthday cake along with ice cream and coffee. The cooperation and planning from Packers enabled all our guests to enjoy a perfect evening.“

“Food was really good and the setting is always nice with the beautiful view. It was reasonably busy but our order and bills both had problems. Mains arrived before any of the appetizers, one item was forgotten/never arrived, and both bills (for two couples) had mistakes. Gave up trying to get them fixed and just worked it out ourselves. We like this restaurant and will be back, but tonight just wasn't their best effort.“

“Happened to be in White Rock tonight unexpectedly. Googled Thai food/ decided to check it out! Amazing, delicious, authentic, well presented! Our server was very professional & knowledgeable. We had the pineapple red chicken curry... delicious! The chicken pad sew yu was very good as well! We also had the Tom Yum soup; richly seasoned & very fragrant. The next time we're in the area again, we will definitely head over to Leela Thai for another wonderful meal!!

Dietary restrictions: You can ask for certain items to be left out of your dish such as no baby corn or cashews for example. The staff is very accommodating. They will also bring you separate little dishes of chili oil or extra dried Thai chilies.

The wait staff were very attentive towards us and made sure we were well looked after, which we appreciated. The only drawback, (if you could call it a drawback) was that online you are still advertising a salad bar, which you do not have now. My first time there at suggestion of friend... found the restaurant really nicely done up in a more modern Chinese restaurant style. The food was really good overall. I live in Richmond and definitely comparable to if not better than those considered top Chinese restaurants in Richmond. Highly recommend!“
