“This little place has a homey feel. It took a moment to learn how it works: there's a large refrigerated case with shelves of menu items packaged to go, which can be heated and served to your table, an unusual approach, but one that worked well. There is a large selection of teas and other packaged food items, and the teacups are beautiful and varied. It was easy to select from plentiful vegan options. We had kichree and tofu curry, along with Beyond momos, which were amazing. The three chutneys were greasy and delicious, served in their squeeze bottles.“

“This place has super friendly folks and fair prices and lots of cute knick knacks for sale. It's extremely conveniently located for my commute back to Seattle, so I come here fairly often. My only minor nitpick is actually about the quality of their espresso: they pretty consistently pull rather bitter shots. I can't tell if it's a training issue or an issue with service on their machine or perhaps just the beans they use or the consistency of the grind, but it's always off. I asked them to pour their shots directly over ice which seems to help a little bit but I do wish this place could consistently deliver solid expresso. If you're reading this and work there: check for residuals on the group head and shower screen, Ensure the grind is not too fine, and don't over-tamp the coffee. If it tastes sour it's being overextracted the above should fix this.“

“Went for the first time yesterday while walking my cat. They were very welcoming and let me bring my cat in ( she was in a stroller). I then ordered a coffee and Carmel blended drink and it was so amazing. I went back again today because it’s so good. This is now one of my favorite places! 😊“

The staff was super friendly and helpful teaching me a couple games and and playing some rounds with me. They also have “missing pieces” you can earn by learning and playing games. “This post deserves a SHARE and it’s public! I ventured out to Creamy Cone Cafe (a Black owned small business) for the first time today. The post about the grilled cheese on croissant bread with tomato soup got me. As soon as I walked in I wanted everything!!!! I started with ALL 12 of the flavors currently on hand, the grilled cheese w/soup, the peach cobbler à la mode and a brown sugar cookie that never made it home. My favorite flavors were Strawberry Shortcake, Banana Pudding, Mint Mud pie and Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake. None of the flavors were displeasing and ALL of them I would order again. I love that you can taste the individual ingredients in the ice cream it’s self. You can absolutely tell these flavors are made with real fruit!! There was a vegan flavor and a non-dairy flavor that was tasty, something for everyone!!! I will be back often. I did want to point out, just because parking isn’t the greatest doesn’t mean don’t stop in. When you walk through the door it feels like family! Also, they have gift certificates. A win win!!! I’ll be buying some to give to people so they can experience the greatness as well. The list of current flavors are in the photos.“

“I was impressed by Zain Restaurant's delicious cuisine, generous portions, reasonable prices and delicious food. Yesterday I stopped after hearing from friends and coworkers about Zain restaurant. The food was flavorful but also quite filling, making the short 10-minute wait well worth it. “What an adorable little coffee shop. Originally went needing a simple breakfast and got an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. It’s one of the better west coast bagels this East coaster has had. The woman who owns and runs the little stand is so nice and helpful. She picked flavors for my coffee drinks and they were so good. It was such a lovely experience that I went back the next morning. This time I got a breakfast burrito and muffin with a latte. And this combo is highly recommended. The burrito is small but very filling. I will just say that it is drive through only and if there is a line can get a tad dicey with how cars are lined up. But I highly recommend stopping by if you are near.“

“This is a true story.I’m a complete foreigner and needed a coffee due to severe jetlag. I walked there and asked for a 20oz coffee, great service(!) but when I tried to pay with my European card didn’t work on the machine. The lady working there told me it was okay - they literally gave me the coffee for free and I gave her a huge Hugh five in disbelief, chock and joy over that amazing move from this coffee house. That doesn’t happen on your Starbucks. Support this place! I’m caffeinated goin on my place now - awesome!“

The ladies here are very quick to memorize your drink, if you're like myself and have the usual go-to. I don't think I've had a bad beverage from here, ever. Then the cafe was sold to an inexperienced immigrant that tried hard but didn’t really understand the needs of such a business. He sold it to a Korean person who thought he could specialize in his ethnic fare but it was a bad idea and the entire environment was abandoned and everything crashed. No surprise. Such a great concept and first class service that made the CAVU popular lost forever. Thank you Jim Turcott of PDS Engineering for giving us this great little cafe to begin with. Nothing lasts forever though I guess.
