“Had a great time during their Sunday Piecing it Together event. Tasty drinks and snacks were available. The staff was super friendly and helpful teaching me a couple games and and playing some rounds with me. They also have “missing pieces” you can earn by learning and playing games. “What a great little spot! I had a delicious breakfast sandwich -The Smashwich- and my latte was smooth, no bitterness. The baked goods are made on site and there are some surprises. We got a sample of their pickle biscuit. Yes, just as it sounds, a biscuit with dill pickle pieces in it. The combination works!The biscuits are wonderfully spongie, not dry. The Cherry pistachio muffin was so good, not overly sweet, and the flavor profile was perfectly balanced, plenty of cherry pieces to muffin ratio. On top of all that, the staff was very nice and super helpful with all our questions.“

“This post deserves a SHARE and it’s public! I ventured out to Creamy Cone Cafe (a Black owned small business) for the first time today. The post about the grilled cheese on croissant bread with tomato soup got me. As soon as I walked in I wanted everything!!!! I started with ALL 12 of the flavors currently on hand, the grilled cheese w/soup, the peach cobbler à la mode and a brown sugar cookie that never made it home. My favorite flavors were Strawberry Shortcake, Banana Pudding, Mint Mud pie and Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake. None of the flavors were displeasing and ALL of them I would order again. I love that you can taste the individual ingredients in the ice cream it’s self. You can absolutely tell these flavors are made with real fruit!! There was a vegan flavor and a non-dairy flavor that was tasty, something for everyone!!! I will be back often. I did want to point out, just because parking isn’t the greatest doesn’t mean don’t stop in. When you walk through the door it feels like family! Also, they have gift certificates. A win win!!! I walked there and asked for a 20oz coffee, great service(!) but when I tried to pay with my European card didn’t work on the machine. The lady working there told me it was okay - they literally gave me the coffee for free and I gave her a huge Hugh five in disbelief, chock and joy over that amazing move from this coffee house. That doesn’t happen on your Starbucks. Support this place! I’m caffeinated goin on my place now - awesome!“

“Fun matchas and coffees. We went in for breakfast. Not your traditional breakfast house. They bring you coffee and take your order at the table. You order at the counter and then find a seat and they'll bring the food to your table, but then you never see them again. The girl that took our order was okay. She charged me for a second Americano and insisted that I ordered it which I know I didn't. I was prepared to give them a bad review, but the young man behind the counter making drinks, bringing our food and asking us how everything was saved the day. I should have got his name; he was amazing. All his coffees and matchas looked great. The bacon is thick like what we call chicharrones. I didn't want rice with my breakfast so they switched out to potatoes. Food was good coffee was good. We will go back but the person taking the order needs to have better customer service. Don't argue with a customer and just give him a credit if they don't want the extra coffee.“

“Stick to the grill, sandwiches, pizza, salad bar, and some of their other rotating hot foods and youll be fine. The grill orders you can see them making. The pizza slices are large and thick. Salad bar has variety. Very above average cafe with fantastic offerings that will surprise you. Avoid their more experimental offerings like “pho” and use your better judgment. If it looks like they completely winged it, they did.“

On the night we were there the Seahawks were playing and the staff seemed distracted, so service was sometimes slow. But our family had a great time, and ended up catching the tail end of a very exciting game. The steelhead and the risotto were especially good. We will be back.“

My mom originally introduced me to this spot because they offer fantastic sugar-free mochas, which are getting harder to find elsewhere—a total game-changer for her as a diabetic. The biscuits were burned today, hard as a rock on the bottom and a weird heavy texture in the middle. I did say something. the guy working at agreed with me and offered to give me something else, but I told him not to worry about it. I think that the cook needs to pay better attention however. Beyond that everyone there is really sweet, but the service can be rather slow.“

“I absolutely love this place. Kickdown Cafe as a very cute little hole-in-the-wall business. The nice lady makes good food. The iced coffee is very tasty and they have a large verity of goods there. They even do massages and therapy. I really loved the service and the atmosphere. They accept volunteer work and will happily accept any extra help they can get. I would definitely recommend going here.Mondays through Fridays 10:00 - 17:00.“

“Im not sure why there’s so many negative reviews. I have ordered from here 2x and went 2x. The prices are good, less than chains, the lattes are STRONG but good. Idk what kind of English muffin they use on their sandwich, but it’s amazing. It tastes like the crumpets I had in England. And the eggs are weird fluffy scrambled eggs that were shaped, it’s different but soooo good. London fog was just normal, chai great, latte and cappuccino by far the best I’ve had in this area. I don’t think people that want super sweet drinks and Frappuccino’s would like it here. So go elsewhere if you have a child’s palette or are a child? I’m salty from the bad reviews.“

“When I still worked days, I would stop in almost daily for either breakfast or lunch ever since they opened. Their food is always delicious, and you can tell that it was made with care. I have never once had anything from their menu I didn't enjoy. The owner, Young, is such a kind and sweet individual. Always happy to greet everyone who comes through the door with a big smile and a warm welcome. Her son is also a great person. Carries the same energy, and they are always working very hard whether the order is big or small. I cannot recommend this place enough. Not only for the food, but also for the friendly and welcoming service.“

“My younger sister picked this cafe because she liked the photos online, but the actual experience turned out better than expected. We visited around lunchtime and shared fries, pasta, and two iced drinks. The fries were crispy and properly seasoned instead of bland. Pasta came out slightly cooler than expected in the center, though staff replaced it without any hassle after we mentioned it politely. Service felt genuine throughout the visit, and nobody acted annoyed despite the cafe being fairly crowded during the afternoon rush.“
