“I love coming here. It’s close to home and the staff is friendly. Food is always good, definitely American diner style. But what’s with the drinks? For the past two years coming the soda and water have always tasted like chlorine. It is a deterrent and does prevent us from frequenting more often as I have to convince my partner to take a stomach ache so I can get good breakfast here. Thankful for the new option of buying bottled drink but I don’t feel great paying extra for no poison.“
“Real cool local spot within UP. My wife and I just came by for a quick drink and an appetizer. Full bar, rotating beer on tap, and decent amount selection to choose from. Can catch the game on TV as well. Very nice staff.Kid-friendliness: There's a small section at the bar closed off to kids, but the rest of the places to sit are available to families.“

“Hole in the wall appeal. Ordered bacon and eggs. Hash browns came as threads, never seen them cut so this, which made them super greasy. The eggs were cooked to order. One lady did alot of work, another spent most of the time on her phone talking about finding bar to go dancing. I had the good waitress, who brought this from a 3 to a 4.“
“A friend and I went there for the first time. The diner was ok for the theme. But we both got omelets and hash browns. We it turns out that there cooked it to let the bottom cook. Then fold it and served it so when we took a bit it was white inside and mushy. So we did not eat it. When I asked the waitress about it. She told me if I wanted it all fully cooked it had to ask to have it scatted to have it all fully cooked. As far as I know. Hash Browns needs to be fully cooked all around. So if any one goes there I recommend that you ask to have your hash browns scatted so you get it fully cooked. But at least I was able to eat the omelet. And I paid $60 for food I could not even eat and enjoy.I would recommend that they Don't serve hash browns like that and fully cooked it all.“
“This place is my new favorite place. I have been there 8 or 10 times the past few weeks and tried almost everything on the lunch menu and have only been delighted with the food every time. Its hard to pick a favorite but the Reuben is hands down the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had and others who have eaten here with me agree. I have not figured out exactly how the dynamic works here but Ivy who does most of the serving seems to have things in control im not sure if she is an owner or the chef or if the chef is the owner or what is happening on that level so I don't want to step on anyones toes but she is doing a fantastic job as the face of Spring Lake Cafe. The service is impeccable, the ambience is inviting and the food is delicious with a consistency hard to find in the new normal of society. Its refreshing to go to a place and know that it really does not matter what you order because you will enjoy it fir sure. I hope that people treat these guys well because the prices are out of a roll back time machine or something. I feel like I am getting several Michelin stars of hospitality here but I'm paying McDonald's prices. I cant say enough how good this place is. Go to the Spring Lake Cafe for lunch or you wish you had.“

“I wish I would have taken photos! We ordered pickup and when we went in it was such a cool place! Such an awesome idea. We have had a hard time finding a really good burger especially since we’re super picky but after walking by it a few days ago and seeing how fun it looked I decided to try. My hubby ordered the pepper jack burger and I ordered the lamb. We were surprised how hefty it was when we took the burgers out and everything looked so fresh. The cheese was perfectly melted into the patty of the pepper jack burger and the patty’s were really good size. I was surprised how great the lamb burger was. I’ve had a few but this one was super flavorful and even a bit spicy. It is a place I’ll definitely be taking my son since the first two tables have large screens with two controllers so you can actually play different games. It is definitely a great place to try!“

The environment is relaxing, charming and there's several historical pieces to admire. The servers are quick, responsive, and kind! They are always nice to our one-year-old daughter. “Doing a short road to from Portland to Seattle and needed lunch- the best answer is not to get off the freeway and drive into Olympia - nope, stop here- quick on and off the freeway- the food is really good, the portions are large and well priced. It's Friday so, while the steamer clams looked great I went for the fish and chip special. Comes with a couple of pieces of fish, fries, slaw and a cup of clam chowder- all pretty great. Partner, also had a cup of chowder but, attempting to set a good example had a half salad and it was also good and a very ample portion. However he was casting an envious eye at my, probably less healthy but yummy plate. Being a more than amply serving I did share everything but the fish- nope all mine. With a good tip as yelpers always do- under $40.00- and, since it's a road trip enjoy the super clean bathrooms. An added benefit is the very short drive down the road to the Nisqually delta bird reserve. Even if you just drive in and take a short walk around the headquarters building it's a great way to get out of the car and stretch. So, a great meal and a visit to the bird reserve. Do yourself a solid, give these nice people your money - and say hello to the birds.“

(Are the golfers trying to keep this their secret). I had the French dip which was the best we have had in years including fantastic steak fries! Hubby had the Buffalo Chicken salad it is huge, spicy and good! We will be coming back“
