“We have loved this building for now four generations of our family coming here. The current proprietor makes delicious food and pours her heart and skills into every scratch recipe. Today, we were well taken care of as we celebrated my mom’s 75th birthday in their outdoor dining space. Everyone loved their food, enjoyed friendly & attentive service, and enjoyed many “memory lane” conversations about coming to The Bair (and Mom working part-time here back in the day). Nostalgic, special, fabulous food, and great people. Thank you to Sara and her fantastic team!“

“Our waitress Ona did such a fabulous job like we can’t even put into words how amazing and wonderful she was!! Her service is so beyond phenomenal that all waitresses service should be trained by her! She basically read our minds of what we needed on top of dealing with all tables and giving them amazing service. I was watching how she did it so smoothly but she’s just a diamond in the dozen! We did not need to ask her for anything that’s how well she was! We definitely will be back to see her!“

“A good, chill restaurant. The place was calm, not crowded, and had a good, “neighborly” vibe. The food wasn’t anything to write home about, but it wasn’t bad either; it was better than a joint like that needed to be. They seemed to be training a new employee, and he did great getting everything right. He double checked our orders and asked about things we’d already said…but again…neighborly vibes / slow pace, no pressure.“

“Food was decent, my drink was good and strong, staff was great. Theres lots of parking, mainly in a lot across the street. “This place is catered towards Longshoreman and truckers. What does that mean? 24/7 HOT FOOD! That also means that it's a little off the beaten path. Strangely enough, Tacoma doesn't have many 24/7 joints, so this place is an absolute gem!“
“My daughter was scammed for dinner for her wedding. Roy Tavern stepped up and made 70 meals in two hours. They helped save her dinner part of wedding. Thank you so much to them.“
