“Finally an Indian restaurant in the Lake City area that is great. Food was delicious - would highly recommend egg curry, malai chicken Tikka, dosas and many other dishes. The service was pleasant and quick. No complaints whatsoever. So excited this place is only 7 minutes away from our house - we'll be back once every couple of months at least I think.“
“Small place, not fancy, but absolutely stellar food. Everything was delicious, great flavours and high quality ingredients. Really well balanced seasoning and spices. We had the momo combo, vegetable thali, lamb curry, and fried chicken and fries. Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menuVegetarian options: I had the Vegetable thali. Really fresh vegetables, beautifully prepared. Tons of vegetarian options to choose fromKid-friendliness: My kid loves dumplings, so we ordered him some chicken momo. He also had the fried chicken and French fry appetizer plate but he mostly at the momo and some vegetables from my plate, although he said the fried chicken was "juicy and good"“
“I wanted to share my recent experience at your establishment and provide some feedback on my visit. Firstly, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of Rupee Bar. The lively ambiance and colorful decor created a welcoming and energetic environment, perfect for socializing with friends or enjoying a night out. The highlight of my visit was the impressive selection of cocktails. The mixologists at Rupee Bar truly have a talent for crafting creative and flavorful drinks. Each cocktail I tried was expertly balanced and bursting with unique flavors, making for a memorable drinking experience. I also appreciated the variety of snacks and small plates available on the menu. The food offerings complemented the drinks perfectly and provided a delicious accompaniment to the evening.“
“Decent prices and delicious! I’ll recommend lamb curry , best of the best! Especially if you’re looking for halal food! Rapid service, if you order to go,you’ll get your order in 15 minutes which is very quick compared to other Indian restaurants! Cause I’ve been in many Indian restaurants in Seattle area, I highly recommend this place don’t listen the negative reviews, I order food from this place at least 4-5 times per week! Every Friday they have promo prices for Briyani! I noticed the negative comment from weird person, there is nothing wrong being Mexican or indian to cooking other cultures cuisine as long as they taught by chef, this is US, any race can be part of any cuisines! That’s why we are here! Sorry for being emotional, I just can’t stand when I see something unfair, this place is pretty decent with nice atmosphere and very friendly crew, when even they were almost close , they took my order without any complaints, huge respect for crew and owner!“
“A hidden gem for Indian cuisine lovers! The food is absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes are generous. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel warmly welcomed. The prices are worth every penny for the quality you get. Will definitely come back“
“We arrived on a gray, rainy Sunday and were offered delicious pumpkin soup. We ordered from the special menu ($55 for 2). The flavors, warmth and presentation were pure comfort. The dessert gulkand mousse with rose and fennel is not to be missed. Anxious to try more from this menu.“
“I LOVED this place. I had a really horrible day, on Christmas, and all I wanted was my favorite type of food. I chose the first restaurant I found on my way home from my families. They were very fast, from picking up the phone to walking out the door with food in hand it was no more than 25 minutes, exactly what they estimated. I was having a problem with my card, and instead of letting me split payment and pay for the naan separately the kind man helping me took the price off and threw the naan in for free. He was incredibly pleasant, kind, and friendly, and somehow seemed shocked that I wanted to tip. GO HERE! The butter chicken was delicious, the sauce the perfect thickness, lots of chicken. THE BEST GARLIC NAAN EVER, I will be back every chance I get, and I'm crossing my fingers that someday they will open another near me ?“
“The bottomless chai is delicious (and all but refills itself—it’s easy to drink more cups than you’d like. Attentive service. Generous portions with fresh, quality ingredients. Many choices means everyone can eat here—vegan, gluten free, children, etc. I’m leaving with a happy heart and full tummy.Vegetarian options: Every curry or sauce dish can be made with vegetables, tofu, or paneer.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Standard American fare available for non-adventurous eaters. High chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: I’m not a wheel chair user, but lots of space between tables, many tables of appropriate height.“
“I do food tasting and reviews for several magazines and papers. I have tried more than 100 restaurants in Washington. Today we ordered chili chicken and karahi chicken and I will say that it was the best chilly chicken we ever had. I highly recommend Tasty India Bistro, Please try them… 5 “
“Ordered takeout. Restaurant smelled amazing. Our chicken tikka masala and butter chicken with garlic naan was delicious and perfectly spicy. Although our chicken chunks were much smaller than our old usual restaurant. Plenty of curry sauce though. Will order from again.“
“Ordered Papdi Chat and chicken tikka roll. Chicken Tikka roll was good- love the amount of chicken stuffing and flavour. The chapati/roll was also surprisingly very soft.We ordered a take out and I was very impressed with how well they packed Papdi Chat. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture of this. My experience would have been 5/5 if only the aloo was not undercooked.Recommend this place for a quick snack or chai pe charcha.“
“Chris, our server, was incredibly attentive and made our dining experience memorable. The food was simply outstanding - each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and expertly prepared. This place has definitely set the bar high for Indian cuisine in town. Looking forward to returning soon for another flavorful experience!“
“The food was so good I didn’t wait to take a better photo! Got the tadka dal (extra hot) and had a great time! The servers were extremely attentive and we got our food very quickly. Overall great experience and I’d highly recommend it. If you like SPICY, maybe ask for extra extra hot.“
“Decent place for Indian food in the city of Seattle if you don’t want to drive to the Eastside. Tried their lunch boxes, chai and pakodas. Saw plenty of pickups while we were dining. They also have lunch buffet.Food - 4/5 average taste, decent proportionPrice - 4/5 reasonableService - 5/5 fast and friendlyAmbience - 3.5/5Located conveniently in the busy ballard neighborhood with somewhat easy parking options.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian section in the full menuDietary restrictions: Vegetarian options available; non-dairy and gluten-free too; some seafood optionsParking: Paid and free street parking available within 2-4 blocks of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu availableWheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible“
“Butter and Spice (formerly Mahal) has been our favorite since we discovered it in 2017. We are vegetarian and we typically order a paneer kurchan and either dal tadka or malai kofta with tandoori roti (or garlic naan sometimes) and occasionally some other vegetable if we have guests over. They do a great job with our requests to keep it mild and/or spicy at times depending on ordering it for ourselves and/or for kids. We order at least once a month from this restaurant and have not been disappointed. We adore the fact that when dining in, they also give onions and such on the side which as an Indian I love and reminds me of service we get in India. We highly recommend this place!!Vegetarian options: There are plenty to choose from. I also recommend calling them to check if they can make something vegetarian that’s not on the menu.Kid-friendliness: They make adjustments for our two young ones and both our kids love their food.“
“Our hotel was a couple blocks away from this place. We just recently started eating Indian food and I wanted to try out this place based on the reviews. We got it to go as we had just gotten into town and wanted to eat it at the hotel. Pay no mind to the styrofoam bowls and plastic cutlery, it’s what our hotel had handy to use. My husband got the butter chicken and I got the goat Rogan Josh. I love that they had goat available. We also got an order of bullet naan to split. The food was piping hot and plenty. We had enough to eat the next day for breakfast. This place gets bonus points for having goat on the menu! It was delicious as other reviews have said. With the construction, we drove there instead of walked. I noticed the sign said under new management but we are not local so we don’t know what it was like with the old management. If you like Indian food this place is worth a try!“
“Great food - delicious, flavorful, authentic. Wonderful people own and operate it - they have a new take-out/cloud kitchen on Capitol Hill, too. My family and I dined in at the Roosevelt location twice last week - totally worth it each time.Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian and vegan options, as wellDietary restrictions: They are very flexible and accommodating“
“This is my absolute favorite Indian food place. Their chicken korma is soooo good. I dare say it is better than most Indian curries I have had when I was living in India. Our usual order includes the chicken korma, bread basket and veg samosas sometimes.“
“Growing up in Bangalore, the birthplace of authentic Dose(not Dosa), I was longing for good dose until I came across The Bangalore Kitchen. I don’t mind waiting in line, driving on a Sunday to a busy market, daring cold weather, etc to taste the authentic Dose served truly in Bangalore style. The huge line every weekend is a testimony for the authenticity in the taste. Will go there again and again just to eat the Dose. Please don’t change the menu, especially the Benne Masale ?“
“Glad the buffet is back!I wish there were more options. Only saag as a vegetable curry. No eggplant or potato or cauliflower. And no samosas or pokora. And why are there waffle fries? That’s just strange and kind of sad.Everything is delicious.“
“Recently hosted a party and catering was done my Chawla’s. The food was amazing and Manjeet ji is an amazing person to work with. Every guest appreciated the food. If you are craving for north indian food Chawla’s is the place to beMust try food in “
“Went here for the first time with my partner and had a great experience. The staff was patient and attentive to everyone and they made sure we were all satisfied with our order. We had the coconut lamb curry and the vegetable saag, along with two delicious yogurt drinks that the female server suggested to us. Everything tasted amazing! Will definitely come back again when we visit Lake Forest Park.“
“My experience at Caravan Kebab was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant offers a delightful blend of Middle Eastern and international cuisines, providing a culinary adventure for the taste buds. Not only were the prices very reasonable for the high quality of food and service provided, but the dishes themselves were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. I had the pleasure of trying the Caravan Kebab special, which was absolutely delicious and offered a wide variety of flavors. Additionally, the garlic Nun was a amazing in taste and texture. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy. The decor was both simple and traditional, creating a cozy and welcoming environment. To complement my meal, I enjoyed a refreshing Mango Lassi, which perfectly complemented the bold flavors of the dishes.Overall, I can't recommend Caravan Kebab enough. I left feeling completely satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit.
