“If you haven’t been to Battles Kitchen yet… run, don’t walk. I swear, I’ve tried something new every single time we’ve gone, and every time I leave wondering why we didn’t find this place sooner. The owner? Absolute gem of a human. The food? Straight up from another planet. So far I’ve had the crawfish boil, seafood boil, Cajun tenders, shrimp po’ boy, lemon cake, banana pudding, peach cobbler, lemon pepper wings, and beignets and every single bite has been perfection. I would gladly go broke buying dinner and dessert here every day if I could. If you haven’t tried them yet, you are 100% missing out. They never disappoint. Ever.“

“I stopped in at Legoe Bay Reefnetter food truck and tried the salmon & chips along with their clam chowder—both were absolutely fantastic! The fish was fresh, golden, and perfectly crispy on the outside while staying flaky on the inside. You can really taste the difference in quality—it’s not your average fish and chips.

The clam chowder was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor without being too heavy. It had the perfect balance of clams, potatoes, and seasoning, making it one of the best I’ve had in the area.

Portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere had a great local, coastal vibe. If you’re craving seafood that celebrates the Northwest, Lego Bay is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend the reef netter fish and chips with a cup of chowder on the side—you won’t be disappointed!“

“Great smoked salmon from a local Bellingham company. The quality was impressive and I really enjoyed the wooden gift box it came in. I served it to my family for Father's Day and and it was a home run. Also I really appreciated that it was gluten-free, healthy and I was supporting a local sustainable company.“

“The Cesar salad is incredible, their dressing is perfect! Asparagus was perfectly cooked, yellow potatoes were creamy... I did not care for my steak. It had an excellent char, however the menu said it is seasoned with an in-house blend but I could not taste anything, it wasnt even salted or peppered. It was cooked to my preference but was still very tough and I had a large piece of gristle that just didn't scream quality to me. I was quite disappointed about that but the wonderful service made up for it.“

“We go there often. Nice view, not noisy, friendly staff. Outside seating in the summer. Not cheap but reliable and good value. Good happy hour prices. Love the ahi tacos, salads and burgers. Serving sizes might seem small to some. Perfect for us. Went there for brunch yesterday and had one of the best classic French toasts ever!“

“My favorite place for fishnics with the kids and weekend eats! I can order out and take it to the beach or meet with friends and family for great food and island atmosphere. The short ferry ride there and back is a plus!“

“I stopped by for lunch and ordered a burger, the soup of the day, and a coffee. The total came to $29 including tip. It was quiet in the afternoon with very few people around, so the atmosphere was calm. Service was very quick and efficient. The food was tasty and came out hot and fresh. A nice place for a relaxed midday meal.“

“Got the chicken curry. The curry is thick and you can see the herbs and spices in there. Chicken is tender. Also don’t neglect the garlic naan. The server was attentive but I think she thought I was some famous food critic. I can sense fear as she interacted with me. I did arrive at 5:00 pm before dinner rush. She asked me if I was here for taste testing. lol. No. I was just hungry.“

“Wowowow. We came here because we were staying nearby and wanted Thai. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. We got the fresh rolls, papaya salad, tom kha, and mango sticky rice. All were SOOOO good. And the place itself is so nice. They have wooden chairs that look like they came out of a treehouse and the tables are gorgeous. Also the service was perfect, everyone was so cool and nice. My mom was very impressed. Thank you on rice!!“
