“Ah, Cold Stone Creamery! I don’t know what kind of wizardry they’re doing back there, but Cold Stone ice cream is so creamy. Like, suspiciously creamy. I don’t know how they do it. I assume there’s a guy in the back with a PhD in dairy science just whispering affirmations to the cream. Whatever it is, they’ve earned the “Creamery” in their name. That’s not just branding. That’s a diploma.

Now, the mix-ins get all the press. People love the mix-ins. But I’m here for the base. The foundation. The creamy core. It’s like building a house on a cloud.

This Issaquah location? It’s run entirely by Skyline High School students. I don’t think any of them need to work. They’re just doing it for the love of the game. Like, “Hey, I could be at home playing Fortnite, but I’d rather be here, folding gummy bears into mint chip for a guy who looks like he just woke up from a nap in 1997.” That’s me. I’m that guy.

It’s a teen hangout, but they serve old people like me too. We walked in at 9:50 on a Friday night, ten minutes before closing, and they didn’t even flinch. Just smiled, scooped, and let us loiter like we were paying rent. That’s hospitality. That’s Cold Stone.

There’s a fine line between laziness and genius, and these teens are skating it like pros. Instead of lugging heavy trash bags to the dumpster, one of them just casually rolled over to Fred Meyer, commandeered a shopping cart, and turned it into a mobile waste unit. Is it creative? Absolutely. Is it lazy? Maybe. But it’s also efficient, ergonomic, and kind of brilliant. That’s teenage ingenuity: solving problems with the least amount of effort and the maximum amount of swagger.

I always order something off the menu and then change it so much it becomes a new invention. Like, “I’ll have the Chocolate Devotion, but can you take out the brownies, add marshmallows, swap half the chocolate ice cream for mint, and also make it taste like regret and childhood?” And they just nod. No judgment. No questions. Just vibes.

My wife noticed I had more ice cream than she did, even though we ordered the same size. The server, Ayush, overheard and immediately offered to top hers off. That’s five-star service. That’s Cold Stone diplomacy.

They’ve got the classics like chocolate, vanilla, and mint, but then they hit you with flavors like “Honey Cornbread with Blackberry Jam.” It tasted like a scone that got tenure. And churro flavor? Sure. Why not. It’s November, so of course there’s pumpkin spice. It’s the law.

Anyway, five stars. I’ll be back. Probably tonight. Probably at 9:50.“

“Molly moon’s is my favorite place to get ice cream, all there flavors. I wish they bring my favorite ice cream it strawberries 🍓 balsamic so delicious 🤤.“

“this place is a weekly staple for our family, from the waffle wednesdays, bogo fridays or fill your cup weekends. We are here (in my opinion) far too often but it's a fun midweek treat for the family. We've maybe had one instance where one of the machines didn't work other than that, consistent working machines, friendly service and good froyo - nothing to complain about!“

“This is by far the nicest pagliacci I’ve ever been to. Interior was clean, exterior is nicely designed (shoshugiban wood, standing seam siding). The staff was so nice. They went over the menu with us, carried our beers to the table (wife was carrying baby, I walk with a cane), came around to ask all the tables how everything was, bussed our table for us even though there were buss tubs clearly in the middle of the restaurant. Overall, very pleasant experience.“

“Cool inside, nice service that apologized to the family behind us for the wait rather than informing them until ready like some places would. I asked questions trying to determine differences in menu items and they were very patient. Excellent staff and flavors. Will visit again. The outside benches are great for wiggly loud kids and taking some shade.“

“Love this Baskin Robins! The prices seem better than the Baskin Robins in the mall. I absolutely love their chocolate covered frozen bananas, or “choco bananas” as we call them in Mexico. So far I’ve tried their chocolate with almonds and their Dubai one (my personal favorite). I always play connect four with my boys. Staff is friendly. Can’t beat this place.“

He deserves to be employee of the year with how he managed to be the only employee serving so many people and still managed to smile and make every customer smile!“

“Love the food but the wait is to long. It can take up to ten minutes just to order and sometimes it takes another 10. There is a counter on the side but there is no place to actually eat. If they added that it would be a five star. Good if you come earlier the 5:15 but later under 6:45 is busy.“

“Thank you Shirley. After a nice dinner, we were craving ice cream. We found Kwality Ice cream in Bellevue. This store has some very unique flavors from Pakistan and India along with traditional flavors. They have flavors like Rose, Kulfi, Saffron, Chicoo, Paan, Mango, Pistachio and more. When we went in, a young lady Shirley was working behind the counter. The owner was also present. As we waited our turn, the store got very busy. We were surprised that the owner abruptly left while Shirley was meticulously taking the orders and preparing them. She was overwhelmed with customers but she kept her smile and did a fabulous job. She took care of every single customer and everyone was happy. Didn’t hear anyone complain. She told us she had been working for just a week. Wow! I had a previously poor experience with an Oreo Birthday Cake Taco, and the management came back through to correct it by offering a replacement product. I got The Better Nutter Butter Signature Creation, and it was expertly crafted and generously portioned. The management and staff here really care about the customer, when you're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, be kind, and communicate that you're not sure about the quality of something. They stand by their product, and the service I've gotten here has always been fantastic, even before my recent situation with the limited time offering taco.

“I noticed there are a lot of bad reviews about the customer service, so I think it may depend on the day you visit. I went on a Saturday, and there was a man and a young girl working. The customer service was great—I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help when I was looking into the cake fridge. The ice cream cake is always so good. “Love this place and the flavors change weekly. This week was a new flavor pistachio and it was delicious with black seasme filling. I usually take someone new that has never been to it before and they enjoy it so much!

Whether he’s dealing with a long line, making Blizzards perfectly, or just keeping things running smoothly, he always shows up and gets it done. He’s the kind of person who works hard but still keeps a good attitude, even when it’s busy or stressful. If you’ve ever had a great experience there, there’s a good chance Adam had something to do with it.“
