“Small bakery in Great Wall Mall in Kent, Washington. Primarily take-out of savory & sweet Chinese pasteries. Large variety of baos & buns. Savory include BBQ pork buns (steamed & baked), curry buns, hot dog buns, siu mai, etc. Sweets include egg tarts (Chinese & Portuguese), assorted buns, cookies, cakes, etc. It can be crowded due it's small size, but the line goes quickly & the shelves are refilled often. It is self-serve so grab a tray & tongs & fill your tray! The cashier will pack them for you. The steamed baos & siu mai are in steam baskets so use the take out containers in front. My favorites are the baked BBQ buns (these are of substantial size & not skimpy on the filling), curry buns, & the siu mais are hot & flavorful.
Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entry to mall & bakery, but aisles may be too narrow in bakery for a wheelchair.“

“I am so full! Hot tea, followed by taro puffs (savory with a hint of sweetness, perfect crunch), fried garlic with eggplant (perfect amount of salt, I've never had douchi before, I ate a lot of them), Grandma's braised pork belly (omg it was like butter), Tsingtao lager, sesame coated red bean paste balls, and sichuan jelly (possibly called bingfen?), which is the cold dessert option. This place is awesome, definitely coming back to try the warm dessert and some seafood.“

“This is a take out restaurant inside a mall. There are two small tables on the side. But given that it's not a sit down place, nobody was keeping them clean.
We had the roasted pork (siu yuk), roasted duck, bbq pork (cha siu) and egg tarts. Food was cooked very nicely with tender meats and crispy skins. Flavors were really good although a little too salty. The lady taking our order was very nice (I guess it helps if you talk to them in Cantonese) and food came out fast. Will definitely buy food here again if I'm in the area.“

“We have driven by here often but didn't know it was a Chinese restaurant until we were online considering new Auburn restaurants. In the autumn darkness it's hard to tell it's not just a bubble tea place like a few other reviewers stated. We regret not coming sooner.
From the first bite the food stood out as lovingly prepared, with harmonious flavors and delicate textures. Not your average strip mall family Chinese place, this would be a good place to impress a date or a business client. We got takeout but the restaurant is remarkably clean, beautifully appointed and cozy if not small.
Some reviewers commented on the limited and unfriendly staff - I didn't get an unwelcome vibe from either the proprietor or her son, but she also didn't give off the strong hospitality vibe some Americans might expect. Small smile, few words. I don't think she means to be unfriendly.
Overall I was very impressed with the food and the venue and was quite disappointed to see it completely empty at 6:30 on a Friday night. Please come try some dim sum or rice dishes, you will not be disappointed!“

“I like it better than Chinatown!
A dim sum restaurant that opened recently even though Din Tai Fung is located in the same mall. I was curious and went to see it, and it was really nice🥟
It's quieter, cleaner, and has better service than the famous restaurants in Chinatown, so you can have a relaxing meal.
All the meals were delicious. Especially the shumai, shanghai xiaolongbao, and shrimp dim sum.
Kid-friendliness: Strollers are left at the store entrance. High chair available.“

“Best dim sum and ramen! My son could not believe what he was eating! We love their food and friendly service and cannot wait to go back. We drive down from two counties north! It’s a worthwhile pilgrimage.“
