“Very cool bar near Greenwood with delicious drinks. The bartenders are absolutely amazing and keep the vibes up in the already neat atmosphere. They went above and beyond to make each drink special. Comfy seats, clean bathroom, and various snack options. It is a small venue so better for groups of 4 or less.“

“I’ve been here many times, but most recently this past weekend, and was served by the lovely Anna. Service here can sometimes feel a little impersonal and rushed, but, Anna took excellent care of our small party and made us feel welcome. Thank you! And watch out for Chads everywhere ;)“

“By far the best pizza in Seattle. Super chill staff and vibes. The Za is incredible. Some unique creations as well. Such a great variety of beers local and foreign on tap and bottled. They probably have the only outdoor seating in Ballard which catches the late afternoon sunlight. Occasionally they’ll do small concerts and improv events. Also they LOVE dogs! I friggin love this place.“

“Stopped in with a friend to play some pinball on Wednesday 8/23/23. Pinball map was pretty accurate regarding pins on location, and the games we played were in good condition, spaced out well, and most had cupholders or tables close by. There were the requisite 40"-50" TVs playing sports set up around the bar, but they were not the center of attention - this isn't a sports bar. There were 4-5 pool tables, and all were busy by the time we left for the Ice Box around 9 PM. Stiff well drinks, a decent selection of beer, etc., and decent prices for the area. I like the square wooden-framed ~25'x25' area around the bar, away from the pinball and pool - it was kind of cozy and they had a corner with a mic set up for...music or karaoke or stand-up, or something else I guess. New owners revamped this place in late 2021 or early 2022, and they kept the dive bar atmosphere, but really cleaned the place up. No yucky smells, and I didn't feel like I had to wash my hands after I left. I know that's not a high bar, but I what I mean was that it was a pleasant and unpretentious place to hang out. Didn't try any food - maybe next time. Sorry, no pictures this time!“

“Went in for a casual date night on a Sunday. Our bartender Harlee and the kitchen was the most knowledgeable and helpful with some dietary restrictions and we were simply blown away. Best service we’ve ever had. Harlee made us the best drinks we’ve ever had as well. 11/10“

“I stopped by Lock & Keel the other night and had one of those small but meaningful experiences that remind you why some bars just get it right. I ordered a Diet Coke, but for some reason, my credit card wouldn’t work in their system. Before I could even start fumbling for cash or awkwardly apologizing, the bartender—this super sweet girl with black hair and a nose ring—just smiled and said, “Don’t worry about it, it’s on me.”
It wasn’t about the free drink; it was about the vibe. She was friendly, calm, and made what could’ve been an embarrassing moment feel like nothing at all. You don’t always get that kind of kindness in busy bars, and it stood out.
Lock & Keel isn’t just a place to grab a drink—it’s a spot where the staff genuinely seem to care about making people feel welcome. Shoutout to the bartender with the nose ring and black hair—thank you for the Diet Coke and the good energy.
This place deserves all five stars. Cheers!“

“My band just played a show here this weekend, and it was a blast. The power was out before the show, but it got turned back on right before we were about to cut our losses.
Even though it's not the most bougie venue/bar in Seattle, there is a lot of charm in it's DIY-esque vibe. I'm not a drinker so I can't comment on how good the bar is. I've been here a few times as a patron as well and never once felt like anyone else in the crowd was a threat.
To sum it up, this place seems very niche, but it knows what it is and doesn't try to be anything else, and that's commendable in itself.“

“Stars based on rating of a dive bar of which this place checks all the boxes.Decor that makes you second guess if this is a good idea when you walk in ✔️Pull tabs ✔️Locals that seem like they live there ✔️Simple Stiff drinks ✔️Tots ✔️Karaoke ✔️Pool & Darts ✔️Open till 2am ✔️If it was a rating of it on a non-dive bar standard it would be a 3 but places like this are a dying breed and are needed.Bartender was super cool and she also made some mean chicken strips. Limited Late night menu.$3 Jell-O shots are a must. Chilled in a tub of ice. “Happy Hour” is from 11am-3pm” which is genius.“

“Claire’s served a delightful lunch! We went on Friday at noon and even though the restaurant was very busy. We walked right in and sat down at a table. The service was excellent. The menu is huge, tons of options to pick from, all day brunch is served with plenty of waffle and pancake and French toast options. The crispy potatoes were especially good, there’s a curry spice on them that makes them unique and very tasty. Great spot!
Vegetarian options: You can remove the meat from any dish to make it vegetarian so there are plenty of options
Parking: Street parking is free for 3 hours, if you can find it
Kid-friendliness: Kids would love this place, lots of pancake and waffle options“

“I love eating here. Definitely a favorite, if not the very favorite place of mine to grub down in Seattle. The carne asada plato is delicious, they have a good salsa bar, and excellent margaritas. Lively, fun atmosphere and reasonable prices for quality, authentic Mexican food. I can't get enough of this place.“
“I had an excellent experience recently, as it was my first time actually going there. The board game selection covered a little bit of every niche. The abundance of game rooms for family and kid games, card games, board games, and tabletop games was impressive. They are definitely dedicated to the gaming experience. The staff I encountered was on point with courteous and professional attitude the entire time. I will definitely be visiting again.“
