“When I walked into Holy Water, I felt like I’d stepped inside my favorite kooky aunt’s house. She was the black sheep of the family who made me laugh a little too much when we were forced to go to church to appease my grandmother. Eventually, we were forbidden to sit next to one another because we’d both be in tears and giggling so loudly that the entire congregation would turn to stare us down. That sort of irreverent (yet respectful and funny) vibe is part of Holy Water’s DNA. This place immediately makes you feel welcome. It doesn’t take itself too seriously- that is except for the food. If only my kooky aunt was as good a cook… The staff is amazing. They were patient when my lunch companion had to make some bizarre alterations to his order. (He’d just had a wisdom tooth pulled a couple of days before and needed softer foods.) When we were ready to leave and still had way too much food on our plates, a staff member saw the look of surrender on our face and quickly boxed up the remainders and told us that she’d added some extra gravy (yum!) for us to take home. (Who doesn’t love extra sausage gravy?) I love this place. The food is great but what really makes this spot shine is the people. I can’t wait to go back.“

“By far the best pizza in Seattle. Super chill staff and vibes. The Za is incredible. Some unique creations as well. Such a great variety of beers local and foreign on tap and bottled. They probably have the only outdoor seating in Ballard which catches the late afternoon sunlight. Occasionally they’ll do small concerts and improv events. Also they LOVE dogs! I friggin love this place.“

“We absolutely love Beveridge Place! The staff is fantastic! There is a magnificent selection of drinks. They have fun events, like a book club on the first Thursday of the month and quiz night on Wednesdays. There is a garden where you can enjoy drinks in the sun and tvs for the big game. Our personal favorite is bringing a board game and some friends. To be clear, they do not cook food here. You bring food from somewhere else and eat it with drinks bought here.“

drinks are Italian, or italian inspired, but the price pint is not. these drinks would be €8 in italy. very expensive for what it is. i can’t justify returning.

“I absolutely love small family run businesses like details wine bar. They went out of their way to accommodate our girls day out with a friend visiting from out of state. “We went to Tracyton Public House for the first time last night and immediately felt welcomed. When the man at the door was checking IDs, we mentioned we’d never been in and he gave us his food recommendations. We took him up on that and ordered the wings! Their fries were bottomless but it was enough that I didn’t ask for a refill! Their chicken fried steak was huge. “The Grill and Pub both use the same building. Due to Covid you can buy from the grill and eat at the Pub. THe Pub also has a good bar food list. We were just there Sat on our way back from the Manchester Park. Great day with seating outside and view of Seattle & the new country of CHAZ. The Pub has the old time feel to it, pool table, pull tabs & live music on scheduled dates. It is a good place to enjoy some music, friends with a good selection of drinks and beer. “We tried the draft beers, classic burger, and tacos. The beers were excellent! The burger was decent but small for the price, with more fries than burger, and the tacos were just okay. The atmosphere is cozy, especially on the corner. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, though the outdoor area didn’t seem fully set up yet for cold weather (maybe it is still early). I’d like to come back to try their brunch options. Restroom was very clean and funny with all the memes playing on the displays.

Just great vibes all together. Only downside is that the bouncer (not sure if he's still there) has a major power trip and refused to let us in once because he thought one of the girls in our party was too drunk (we were 100% sober but it didn't matter to him.) Made her feel awful and ruined the night. Still giving the place 5 stars because I won't knock off a star just for a bad bouncer, but I considered it.“
