“Whenever I go to a brewery, my first instinct is to order a beer flight. I tried out a flight of four flavors: Yorkshire Nitro Pale Ale, Kommuter Kolsch, Cider- Channel Marker (Spiced Blackberry), and Cider- Dragon's Head (Wild Fermented).I'm not the biggest expert on beers, but I'll talk about my winner out of these four selections: the Cider- Channel Marker (Spice Blackberry). This beer had an appropriate amount of bitterness, and I felt like every sip was like eating a freshly-picked blackberry. I also noticed that this beer was on the fizzier side, which I always enjoy in my beverage.Don't be shy to ask the bartender for recommendations. I found him super helpful because I don't have the most experienced palate for beer tasting. The atmosphere of the alehouse is cozy.“
“A great pub, a tad loud during peak hours for myself but those without noise sensitivities will have no problems at all. Tons of TV's if you want to watch a game, great food, and trivia night is a blast! Highly recommend giving this place a shot.“
“Great restaurant for fish and chips...unfortunately ahi tuna tacos were just defrosted and soggy ahi tuna pieces not as menu description of ahi tuna tartare. It is not hard to make a tartare, here is a sample of 5 min recipe.▢ 1 pound fresh tuna sushi grade▢ 1 teaspoon ginger▢ 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce▢ 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed▢ 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil▢ 1 tablespoon sesame seeds to serve▢ 1 large green onion finely sliced, to serve“
“We ventured to Bainbridge for lunch with friends and, despite some island-area power outages, the downtown core was powered up and running! I ordered a Cali burrito with beef. It wasn't overloaded and made for a yummy lunch entrée. I also liked the salsa; just enough spice/heat for my taste.“
“Small menu, check it out before you go to make sure it aligns on what you want. We got the special, jerk chicken, it was tasty and perfectly cooked. The staff was great, it was slow service but they communicated that since the beginning and always with a smile. Specially want to highlight the service of our waiter and the one in charge of the grill.“
“I try a new item each time I go and eat there. Every item on the menu so far has been just wow, so good the bartender and the weight staff and the cooks are just outstanding. The owner told me he’s been there three years. Hard to believe time has flown by. I was at the veterans home on the hill. Recovering from injuries I would sneak down and have a beer one day. My social worker just appeared out of nowhere. Somehow I was drinking water.“
“One of my favorite restaurants in West Seattle. The Chinese food they serve here is absolutely incredible for a bar. I also love the interior styling to make it look like a tiki bar. The drinks are colorful and come in fun glasses. The bartenders are also great“
“I have dined at this spot a few times now. The presentation of the food and the atmosphere are really top notch... But the portion sizes are on the smaller side and the food itself isn't necessarily 'BAD' but it does lack that special punch of flavor. I have had a lb burger that come out with a soggy bottom bun. And a Salmon dish that had a pretty bland carb base in it. My partner was a little disappointed specifically with the pasta portion sizes , some of them can be just a handful of ravioli... Just be aware.“
“Great food, service, and atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed the brunch selections with the veggie options and love the Wied selection of mocktail and cocktails!Vegetarian options: Many of the brunch options had a vegetarian sausage option or a mushroom/onion option. They also had a Vegetarian gravy, all of which was very good“
“Lovely vinyl bar that actually SPINS VINYL!!!!!!! Love their selection of wine / cider / beer with plenty options available from tap. We were just coming from Copine next door so we didn't order any food but I bet their foods are just as tasty! I can't wait to come back for drinks and munchies. The vibes inside are just right for enjoying music, boardgames/doodling with friends or just chatting. They have beautiful garage windows that open up as a patio space where doggos are welcome to hangout as well. I personally LOVED their vinyl/fridge section and the color pencils / sketchbooks they had by the boardgames. It was a serendipitous moment to have found this bar while walking around.“
“Ray’s has always been my go-to dinner spot in the summer for the best outdoor patio in Seattle. The food is no longer what it used to be and the service is not great. The five stars are for the patio-if you are wanting some after dinner dessert and coffee or a drink, this is the place to go during summer.“
“Seattle’s own “Real Fisherman’s Wharf.” Good service, great food, not fussy or pretentious. The price is reasonable and the quality is consistent. When I have guests in town, Chinook’s is always on the list of places to go. In a single word “Seattle.”“
“Great little neighborhood bar in West Seattle with a wide selection that includes a bunch of gf beers, ciders, and meads (as well as normal beers and wine). The staff is very friendly and it's a neat atmosphere. The inside is modeled after a Scottish pub. The outside is a quirky biergarten.“
“Stopped in for some food and it was decent, just your average bar food. The bartender was super nice and welcoming. Plenty of dogs walking around enjoying themselves and saying hi to everyone. Ambiance was pretty dive bar esk but nice. Would stop in for a beer again but maybe pass on the food.“
“One of the best pizza spot in town. As soon as you step inside the mouthwatering scent of freshly baked pizza welcome you to a true five-star treat. Friendly service, cozy vibes, and a menu filled with top-notch pizza? , beer? , and wine? makes it a perfect spot for everyone. Super spacious with an option of outdoor sitting as well. And can’t forget about the backyard patio.Ps: pets? and family friendly?“
“Delicious food with great views. My friend and I shared the Coconut Shrimp, split the Crab Cakes (4), and each had an Affogato for desert. The espresso was strong and the ice cream and cookie were excellent. Food was delicious and the view is beautiful.“
“Before hosting an event nearby, I saw Pine Tavern and immediately knew I had to stop in here before heading out of Ballard. I'm really never in Ballard so I knew it was (probably) now or never! If you know me, you know I'm a fan of a good dive bar. I wouldn't really classify this a true dive bar but it's very laid back and the atmosphere is super chill. Love the colorful string lights above the bar, too! We sat in the front part of the bar but I could see they had a separate back portion that looked really cool too. Service was super nice. I was hoping to try something off their menu and the bartender let me know they were out of nearly everything, but they did have grilled cheese, so that's what I had! Very simple, but super tasty and fit the vibe for a cold Seattle night. If I was in Ballard regularly, I could definitely see this being a normal hangout for me. Great vibes all around.“
“Mostly regulars at this bar throughout the week, but weekends bring in a more diverse crowd. Polite dogs allowed! Closes at 2am seven nights a week and offers late night munchie-style food (Dino Nuggets!) and also allows outside food--their staff often recommend Srivilai Thai from down the street. Skee-ball, a game room, and one pool table. Seating options include booths, high and low tables, a very long bar, and some stand-up railing in the back near the pool tables for your drinks, as well as a small (uncovered) patio. Air conditioned in summer which is a huge bonus, lots of TVs for different sports and they are open for every Seahawks game, even the really early game in Europe. On Wednesdays Trivia Night can be extremely loud, so that's not my jam, but it's a great place to spend an evening or end your night. Good for a casual date, and they do accept reservations for private parties.“
“Hard to believe I don't have pics from here. Been here twice, at least, and every time on a hot summer day. I love my friends, and two of them live in Bremerton. They are great to share an early evening beer with. Great to walk with. Great to laugh with. You know that gut-pain you feel, that stomach sickness, the deep, real, soul-touching hurt when you miss someone? That feeling of ache and emptiness you just can't shake? That's them for me. That's my friends. That's the Boy's Tap Room, too. Some people are irreplaceable. Some places are incalculably unique.“
“A local bar with friendly bar tenders and bar food. There's a live music stage that hosts good tunes. Many local brews and friendly bartenders that personalize your experience.Vegetarian options: The servers/cooks will work to make your experience as vege friendly as you want“
“Went to Sabine Cafe for a quick afternoon bite with my teenager. We chose some appetizers to share off the menu: fried cauliflower, whipped feta with veggies, and the Za’atar fries. The service was friendly and efficient. The food arrived quickly, too.The food is middle eastern influenced. My teen didn’t like the tahini and feta flavors, unfortunately. ? She made the most of it though and ate some of the food… but just didn’t love it.Personally, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and outdoor glassed-in dining area, but also wasn’t blown away by the food we chose. (I noticed they have a breakfast/brunch menu - maybe this would be a better option next time…)“
“I absolutely love small family run businesses like details wine bar. They went out of their way to accommodate our girls day out with a friend visiting from out of state. They made us feel like we were visiting good friends on a Saturday afternoon. The wine was incredible (thank you for the recommendation!) and we will definitely be back.“
“I've been here 3 times, I've tried about 7 dishes so far, nowadays I'm craving for anticucho, ceviche and passion fruit flan. It's a perfect place for Sundays or day that you can't decide what to eat, you can't go wrong.“
“Bar Sabine was pretty packed on a Saturday night, and after having dinner at Asadero nearby, we decided to hit up Bar Sabine for some late-night cocktails. Even though we were the only ones waiting in line, we waited outside in the chilly Seattle night for 30 to 40 minutes. The wait made more sense once we stepped inside. The interior had tributes to Lord of the Rings everywhere from the decorations to the names of the drinks. They even had all three Lord of the Rings movies playing on different TVs at the same time. Although I do not know much about the franchise, I really appreciated the attention to detail and the tenacity to stick to the theme. The cool glassware matching the theme added to the vibe - like the White Hand of Saruman served in a black glass with a white handprint, or the Mirror of Galadriel with a mirror on a wooden box. I didn't check out the full menu, but I noticed other drinks coming in unique glasses, like barrels or mid-century mugs.I tried the Mirror of Galadriel, the White Hand of Saruman, and the Broken Sword of Narsil. The Broken Sword of Narsil was the standout, with fenugreek cream making it unique. It was so good that I had to ask the bartender for more cream. The White Hand of Saruman was on the sweet side, probably thanks to the condensed milk. The Mirror of Galadriel, with lavender gin and strawberry sake, packed more of a punch than I expected. All in all, the experience was worth the wait, and I'll definitely be back at Bar Sabine.“
“The girl who was working Friday Feb 9th was sooo nice. I was traveling alone with my dog and ordered a drink and had to use the bathroom. I didn’t know if she could/should go with me so I made the absolutely WRONG choice to tie her to a table. I was gone all of 60 seconds and I heard a loud crash and a glass break and just knew it was my dog. I work in the service industry too and I felt SO bad. I offered to mop, to pay for another drink. It wasn’t my dogs fault, she is the most well mannered girl. It was my bad decision. The girl working seriously did not seem upset or annoyed with me/didn’t roll her eyes. Said “it happens all the time” (even if that’s not true) and brought me another drink. She was seriously so sweet! Kindness goes so far. Had to buy a can to go and tip her $20. It was a lesson for me as well to remember to be patient and kind to people! ?“
““Where everybody knows your name,” Prost offers a warm and friendly atmosphere that caters to the community. German beer reigns supreme in this small, but big personality, watering hole — so don’t expect your everyday basic beers! Due to the amazing staff, drinks, food, service, and atmosphere, we have become regulars. Thanks, PROST!“
“Dined here to cater to the vegan needs of some guests. Absolutely amazing food and tasty cocktails. The lentil nachos will blow you away. Easily the best nachos we've ever had, vegan or non-vegan, and a serving large enough for two to share. You won't be disappointed!Vegetarian options: Full vegan menu and everything we tried was delicious.“
“Thanks for lunch. Our server was great, the food was okay, but I like the new atmosphere. 5 star overall. We had the burger and cheese steak. It tasted like a Costco frozen burger and warmed up deli meat, and the onion rings were greasy and warm at best.“
“What a "Seattle" place! A unique dog park/bar of my dreams ? hangout and chill with your drink of choice while the dogs play. Big screen TVs and heaters are definitely a great human bonus and the staff who keep an eye on doggie behavior in the yard is a great safety touch keeping your mind at ease ?“
“It’s a great place! The food is so yummy even though the flavor is still a little different from what I had in Oaxaca, Mexico.Recommend to try the pozole, it’s so good! And they are generous, they give a lot of pork and hominy in the soup. Their tacos are the best!! Definitely try the Taco Al Pastor! ? Delicious!Their lunch menu and dinner menu are different. I’d love to try their lunch menu someday~“
“We've been somewhat regulars here 2023 and this place has "the magic". Food always delicious, fresh... And the drinks hit any spot we ever develop. Here's a pic of the "Liquid Self Care" and "Go Bananas", a mocktail (gin/etc optional) and a whiskey-expresso delight.Parking: Typically easy to park in front, even weekends - events do happen in the area which has been the only times parking required turning into the residential area behind the spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Entry doors are somewhat tight, but seating, restrooms, and moving about would be easy“
“I have driven by this place so many times and I finally got the chance to try it out. I have never seen a place that was generous with their blue cheese on their burgers. This place does! Their fries were bottomless but it was enough that I didn’t ask for a refill! Their chicken fried steak was huge. You can see some people out playing golf or watch some sports game on their wide screen televisions. Their bar was pretty cool.“
“A great place for food, drinks, and pinball! To start, the staff are very friendly and quick getting your order. The ambiance is retro but has a chill vibe to it. For the food, there is a variety of options and the smash burger was absolutely fantastic packed with flavor. Also had chicken salad and the mozzarella sticks, both fantastic. Lastly, don't forget to play some pinball as they have some awesome machines to play on.“
“I've been here at least once or twice a month for about 4 months and I LOVE it here. I usually come for karaoke saturdays and the vibes are fantastic. The staff and clientele are always super nice, the arcade games and pinball are fun, the drinks are good (big fan of the huckleberry lemonade) and it's just an all around great atmosphere and place to be. I always feel at home here.“
“Service was awesome even though they were understaffed. The band was awesome and the place was super fun. The drinks are amazing!Would recommend eating before you get here.My cheeseburger tasted off, I couldn't eat it. The fries were just hard not at all crispy. My friend's nacho plate was huge, she said it was ok.“
“Fun, friendly, hangout with regulars that aren't shy to start a conversation. My wife and I always feel welcomed every time we've been here. I'd recommend it to new and out of town folks looking to get a sense of the real vibe in Ballard.“
“We held our wedding rehearsal dinner here, and everything went wonderfully. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was fancy but not stuffy. We had some last-minute adjustments, and the owner and staff looked for solutions. They really went above and beyond to make the dinner a success. We sat in the Terrace di Nuovo—a tented area—and were very comfortable. The lighting and decorations made for a fancy but friendly atmosphere. It was a perfect setting for our families to meet. The food was excellent. We had a set three-course dinner, served family style. We were particularly pleased with the vegetarian option: Tagliatelle in a cream sauce with asparagus, leeks, and peas. The bride (now my wife!) really enjoyed the Rigatoni Bolognese. Oh! We had debated whether or not to get the hors d'oeuvres. We did, and they were definitely worth it.We had a wonderful evening and made some life-long memories.“
“The boxcar is a decent neighborhood dive bar that is convenient and consistently filled with customers. They have karaoke, but I forget which nights. They will let u bring your dog as long as u sit outside and they have a covered back patio section where u can watch football and get a bit of fresh air in rain or shine. The chili here is really good and I've also tried a chicken sandwich and the French dip. Food is really good value for the price, which is very important to me. Nothing worse than paying a ton of money and leaving hungry and dissatisfied. That won't happen to you at the Boxcar. Stop by and check em out if you're ever in my neighborhood.“
“I painted the Sasquatch / Orca Mural at the front of the shop ... I kind of have an affinity for this place. There is a whole lot of competition in the area, but BBCo. is still one of the best spots in town to visit if you want to sample a wide variety of local beers without having to do a brewery crawl.“
“Great old school dive bar still holding it down on the main drag in West Seattle. Cold A/C, pull tabs, nice selection of beer, frozen slushies, a full bar and friendly bartenders.Stop by for a game of pool, an arcade game or two, some pull tabs or just to kick back and enjoy the game. There's also a good menu of bar snacks. I'll definitely be back!“
“My fiancé and I stopped at this bar on our visit to Seattle/Washington. We had a lovely time trying wine and Washington ciders, browsing the hiking books, and speaking to the owners. They were very kind and knowledgeable about hiking and plants - two of my favorite things!I don’t think I’ve ever left a review before on google, but I feel like I needed to because this was truly a lovely bar. (And I don’t even like bars very much!)“
“I was just waiting for my ferry and I stopped in for a few drinks to kill the time. It’s a great little place and if I lived in the area I would frequent this place. My bartender was great and the regulars in there made me feel welcomed which you don’t get sometimes. I’ll stop in again the next time I’m in Washington.“
“Odessa was such a great bartender tonight. Even though it was a busy Wednesday she still took time out of her shift to ask me what I wanted and needed to have a good night. A couple of people were being aggressive but she handled it with grace. I admire her and will be back at lock keel. she is one of my favorite bartenders and she showed it tonight!!!“
“Bobbie and Geneva (her first week on the job) manned barkeep professionally. They had three Mezcals at the bar and I enjoyed each one. This is the closest Speakeasy to the airport and I am happy I called an Uber two ways to enjoy their service. Easily comparable to the Asia greats like SpeakLow or Employees Only.My only concern and it’s a justified star removal was the absence of WiFi. You can’t draw the visitor crowd and not have it - a nice man lent me a hotspot to get home. Other solo bar hoppers might get stranded in the rain. It’s also tricky when the menu is only on a QR code and the establishment has no WiFi. I bet some locals also disconnect on purpose and this gets in the way of that. Hope you guys can introduce a temporary access feature or something similar to get to the menu. I may be coming off as entitled and apologize if so, but someone may be in my boat and could be unable to get back to SeaTac since no cabs pass by in front of the bar. Worth putting this out for them.“
“I’m giving them a 5 star for the price and the tastiness of an $8 burger and fries which is unheard in Seattle! I’ve been here many times and never thought about joining them for food and happy hour. It’s so cheap for their daily specials and the burger was delicious. You couldn’t go wrong with it and their secret sauce was delish. They have a huge outdoor area and you can even bring your pup (which I did). Nice spot for an outdoor area to enjoy HH drinks and the sun. The inside is quite large too and I’ve been there to watch sporting events and it’s a fun atmosphere. Check out their daily specials, wing night on Mondays for $.75 per wing, Tuesday $8 burger and fries, Wednesday $8 Toasty which is cheese sandwich and tomato soup, Thursday $10 Aussie Parma or schnitzel. It’s all sounds like a good deal! I’ll be back for other items on their HH list. The waiter was nice too! No complaints and it wasn’t busy on a Tuesday afternoon at 4. I’m sure it’s busy on big events and weekends. Fun spot!“
“Great restaurant and bar! Patio area is covered and dog-friendly making it a fun spot to hang out. Several TVs both indoors and outside to watch games. Food was delicious - green bean fries and chicken sandwich were great! Would definitely recommend visiting!“
“I honestly don't know where to start. Hi tide bar and grill is great. The bartenders are sweet (and quite beautiful), the drinks are nice and cold, prices aren't too bad, looks like they got some good food but; I wasn't all too hungry when I went in, so I didn't eat. The view also very nice, it sits right on the bay, so you have a great view of the water and if you're lucky, you may see some orcas or otters, maybe even some other sea creatures playing out in the bay. I'd say the place is very clean, friendly, and comfortable. Top that off with great service, and I give the hi tide bar and grill 5 stars easily.“
“It's all good down here, nice felt tables, liquor bar, friendly servers. Just watch out for the random Hispanic girls who sometimes sit in your seat and then maybe they look at you funny when you might want your seat back so I guess just say "Go back to Miami." Not that this ever happens.“
“Vera's Pizza ?? is such a cool spot in Ballard. They have pinball machines, skee-ball, great drinks ??? and of course one of the best pizza slices in town!!They also offer karaoke on Wednesday nights from 9pm to Midnight with your fave host STATION.“
“I have been to The Islander a few times and it never disappoints. Tonight was made extra special due to the attentive and delightful service by Tyler. What an amazing server. Wonderful attitude and such a welcoming spirit. Will certainly keep recommending to my friends. Bravo!“
