“I had a great experience at this McDonald’s location on the morning of July 8, 2025, around 10:50 AM. Despite it being a busy time, the staff handled everything with speed, efficiency, and a smile.

“We've used Lighthouse whole beans for many years now, using a Breville conical burr grinder. A great way to go! But could you say a few words about the 'big' grinder you use for your ground bags? How quickly should one be able to get through a ground bag to retain consistency?“

“My wife and I came here for the first time years ago and it quickly became our favorite coffee shop in the area - we are now regulars! I recommend the sandwiches. They are unassuming on the menu - I assumed they were simple cold-case sandwiches, which I tend to avoid - but was so impressed when we tried them one day and discovered they're fresh-made, warmed and full of great ingredients, pestos and tomatoes and whatnot. I get the Med Chicken pretty regularly now. They also have a really great breakfast sandwich - I get sausage on a bagel with egg and cheddar, and it's really good. They use cafe Umbria, which is my favorite roaster, so that's a win for me. They make a great mocha, a great London fog, and the service is always good. Now that we have a little boy - who the owners love, and he loves them - we appreciate the lobby that's so easily accessible next door that he can run around in. The coffee shop itself is also very comfortable and always a relaxing place to sit and enjoy.“

“Turtle Coffee is amazing! The owner is so kind, the coffee and food is delicious. I really appreciate the consistency of the hours & quality.

I get coffee from Turtle most weekday mornings and the owner, Sally, remembers that I take the bus so she makes sure I am in and out really quickly to make my bus in time! It is a thoughtful detail that keeps me coming back.

Turtle Coffee is a wonderful, prideful part of the Crown Hill community and absolutely a place to support!!

“Let me preface this by saying that I am not typically a fan of chicken and waffles style dishes. Or at least, I thought I wasn’t. Then I tried the sandwiches they have here. OH MY GOODNESS. I legitimately feel like my eyes have been opened to an entirely new culinary world.

I went here with a buddy and we tried the brisket sandwich and the chicken sandwich. We decided to go halfsies and both of them were among the best tasting sandwiches I’ve ever had. And easily the best waffle-sandwiches I’ve ever had!

I had to leave Seattle for the airport after eating here, and you best believe I carried my leftovers on the plane and ate them when I arrived home in another state.

This place is the truth!!! I cannot wait to return. It bears mentioning how friendly the staff was too! Nelson the owner took care of our table and man, what a professional. I look forward to being in his care next time I come in.

“What a lovely crew at this immaculate little shop! We were strangers in an unfamiliar neighborhood and stepped in to get out of the rain. Enticed by the aroma of coffee and chai tea, we learned quickly that they have a full menu. Run by a husband and wife team, they celebrate their combined Chinese and German heritage with the food and drink offerings. They even serve beer and wine and drink specials. Obviously they are great people because we went back for more on the next day and the staff treated us like old friends and regulars! Highly recommended.“

“Diva Espresso on N 145th/Geenwood is the neighborhood serotonin stop. The lattes? Straight-up elite—like, “fix-your-whole-mood” quality. And the baristas? Naomi, Marone, Carmen, Tegan, Jess, and Ash are basically the Avengers of customer service. Plus, it’s the unofficial HQ for locals to sip, spill tea, and pretend we don’t all know each other’s dogs’ names. Absolute vibes.“

Since I am staying in the middle of the Kona coffee plantations, I went on a hunt for the best organic 100% Kona coffee today. So I found Pele Plantations just 5 minutes away from my Ohana. I was able to snag a private tour appointment cancellation...when I arrived nothing prepared me for the beauty of the plantation tour and the hospitality of Melanie and Vikram and of course the coffee. I joined their coffee club immediately...so I can have this wonderful elixir and at the same time support this incredible family farm...Mahalo Melanie and Vikram“
