We ordered our usual of: -Vietnamese Sweet & Sour Catfish Soup -Catfish in Clay Pot/Stew -Rice Today we also tried: -Crispy Oysters -Salted Fish Fried Rice -Three Color Dessert -Thai Dessert It wasn't too busy today, we got a table right away for a family of our. The servers were nice and friendly. Our desserts were bought out first, and soon after the main dishes. Our usual dishes is the tasty as usual. Our favorite as a family is the fried oysters. Our young kids liked it best with the sweet sauce (not spicy). The sizing of the oysters are large and it tasted excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful dining night with the whole family. “I bought about 10 different things from here, 3 kinds of kimchi and 7 other side dishes and they're all really really good! The veggies are very fresh and perfectly seasoned. I'm not Korean but I've had my fair share of Korean food and I've made my own kimchi for years and a lot of side dishes and entrees as well. But these are so much better than the hundreds of recipes I've tried. She gave me a bonus japchae that also tastes fabulous. I'm so happy I found this place!“

“If you're looking for a solid AYCE KBBQ spot, this is it. For an all-you-can-eat place, the meat quality exceeded my expectations. Service was incredibly fast—as soon as we turned in our order sheet, the next round of meat arrived. The servers were super friendly and kept the drinks and side dishes coming. It does get busy, but the wait is 100% worth it. Highly recommend!“

“The PERFECT fuel for exploring Pike Place! After a quick wait (no more than 5 minutes) in line, my husband and I grabbed a baked chicken bun, bbq pork bun, and green tea sesame ball. Baked goods in hand (and $19 later), we settled to eat our pastries overlooking the water. And WOW what a perfect way to start the day!

I started with the chicken bun, warm and puffed with a “pineapple” topping. There’s no actual pineapple in the bun, but rather the top has a crinkly and sweet shell that is “pineapple” in appearance only. This bun was fresh, yeasty, and sweet on the outside, and it contained a savory chicken & mushroom filling within. The filling has generous pieces of pulled chicken, some sort of mushroom, and a yellowy curry sauce with the same texture as an American chicken pot pie.

I also tried my husband’s pork “ham bow” (another baked bun but no pineapple-like topping). This filling was a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce coating pieces of chopped pork—also delish! We ended with “dessert”: a green tea sesame ball rolled in toasted black and white sesame seeds and filled with a green tea paste. It was sweet with a slightly mochi texture and a subtle matcha-flavored filling. While it was a bit oily, it was still SO delicious, and the perfect complement to our breakfast buns.

For a portable, not-messy, hot n fresh baked breakfast, I would highly recommend Mee Sum! I only wish I had more tummy room to try more of their baked goods!“

“We had the ginger chicken and house fried rice. This place is one of the only Chinese restaurant left in Beacon Hill. This says a lot considering this use to be a Chinese neighborhood. The food is classic Chinese American. We will definitely be going back to contributing to their preservation. The first time we had it was at a catered event. I’m glad we went back. It’s an old school classic. Supporting or neighbors will be a joy. Can’t wait to try the chow mein.“

“Best AYCE Korean BBQ at East side. My go to is the purple option. They always have fresh, well marinated so many different yummy meat options. I also love how sweet the owner is. She’s super caring and her and her staffs service level is top notch.

“We went here for an anniversary dinner and we really enjoyed ourselves. I would’ve liked a little bit more communication or even education from the staff when we told them it was our first time Meda Korean barbecue I would’ve loved just a little bit of a walk-through the process but overall, we figured it out and things went very well. All the food was delicious. If I go back again, I don’t think it’s necessary to choose the premium tier. The middle tier would’ve provided plenty of options, but either one is a win.

One thing that I did find a little bit annoying is, although the premium tier includes soft drinks. They do not include iced tea as a soft drink and they charge four dollars per iced tea that generally gets included with soda and other soft drinks.

My only other minor critique is that most of the premade dishes are pretty spicy. Even the Ramen base was rather spicy and not marked that way one person in our party really does not do space well and we ended up making sure to eat the leftover Ramen because we were afraid of the $25 wasted free but in hindsight, I think that fee is really only assessed for extreme situations.

Also, when you check in, they tell you about a two hour time limit with a 30 minute warning, but the tablet that you order the food from was set for a less than 90 minute time limit so we only actually had about an hour to order once we looked at the menu it was fine and we were still out of there in well under two hours, but I think that that timer needs to match up with the 90 minutes.“
