“Living in rural Wales in the UK, we would have to travel a couple of hours to access something like a Ben & Jerry's shop so, whilst this might seem quite ordinary for locals here, it is quite a treat for us. Well located, open until 9:00pm - excellent for an impromptu evening snack or belated dessert to supper - and offering a good range of flavours; with tubs available to take home. What's not to love.“
“Wonderful cake shop- has me looking forward to my next visit. We had the banana cake with banana pudding in the layers, and the chocolate malt cake. We loved both, but the banana one maybe a tad bit more! The cake slices are generous and around $10 each. The space is clean and inviting, if not a bit basic, but that's the aesthetic of Georgetown in general I think. Will be back!“

“Cakes Of Paradise has delivered the community with such delicious cakes and treats for years. I love their fruity cakes, rainbow, guava, passionfruit are my favorites!! Rainbow is probably the most favorite, since it has a taste of them all and more. They're spongy, moist and so flavorful. I know some people love their dobash cake, which isn't my favorite but I also don't rave over chocolate cakes. If so it's gotta be rich for my liking. BUT the cakes I do like are rich in fruity-ness and check all my boxes. Whether it's for a birthday, baby shower, wedding, or even a Tuesday night their cakes and treats are so delicious. A little pricey but well worth the creativity and craftsmanship! I'll have to try more than their cakes and donuts one day. They also have pies and more goodies. I like that the place is bright, smells great and has a little seating area as well. It's welcomes you to eat your goodies while there, but away from the line to check out. More recently I've picked up slices to go, and service was professional and quick! If you haven't tried, it's worth the visit!“
“This bakery is exceptional. I only found out about it because I tried their macaroons at a cafe down south in Kent. I was in the area and decided to drop by and get myself a box of macaroons. I ended up buying a piece of cake as well. When walking in, you can tell it's not a sit down place to order and enjoy. The ladies in the back are hard at work and making a ton of desserts. I got 2 of each flavor they had from the macaroons. I've been to Paris and I didn't even like macaroons as much as I did these. That's how good they are. The inside is clean, well maintained and I loved the woman who served me. She made sure I was taken care of and helped me carry things to the car. Can't wait to be back. This is my favorite macaroon spot!“
“Our order from Hunny Do was executed superbly. The dinosaur pops we requested turned out more adorable and tastier than I had imagined. The details were so well done that it was almost a shame to eat them—almost. The owner was great at communication and highly professional. We will be ordering from them again, just need to think about what delicious combination to go with next time.“
“Had their concha’s, hot chocolate, and coffee at a local event. Everything was amazing, I’ve had concha’s my entire life and these are by far the best I’ve ever had. They do not skimp on quality and are by far the best. I would definitely make the hour trip to get a box of their stuff.“
“It's a great neighborhood coffee shop! The barista, Karin, provides customer service and is experienced in her craft. The coffee shop has a lot of windows, so there is a lot of great light, making it an enjoyable place to drink your coffee. They have a meeting room that can seat about 6 people in the back. I have seen others host book club meetings there.“
“Classic hong kong pastry shop They have whole cakes and cake slices ready for purchase day of, but I've also ordered customized cakes from them. The value for what you get is great, especially their breads. For more money you can get similar items from 85 degrees or tous les jours, but they're way smaller than the ones here. I thought the breads were soft and fluffy, the crunchy top on both were good too. The cake is a standard asian cake, not too sweet and light. Excited to come back and try their other items!“

Everyone who had a slice of the Hojicha Tiramisu could not help themselves from remarking how good it was!There was already a great impression from talking with Yumie on the phone and then meeting her at pickup. Her cheerful and wonderful spirit translates directly into her work. I, and I'm sure everyone who tried her cake, will certainly be ordering from her again for making future celebrations extra special!“

“Recently, my wife and I heard of this little gem from a friend on social media. My wife is Colombian so she was very excited to have a true Colombia style bakery near by. I have always heard of the traditional passion fruit/guanabana smoothies my wife has in her country and I couldn’t wait to finally try them.Since this location is in Sculpture park it can be hard to find parking but don’t let that stand in your way of visiting. We arrived at the bakery moments after they opened, in fact everything was still coming out of the oven and being sorted out for the day. We placed our order ( 1 Soursop smoothie, 1 Passionfruit smoothie, 1 Beef empanada, 1 Ham & Cream cheese puff pastry, and a Milhojas ). The food and drinks arrived at a decent speed…the pastry took slightly long but it’s because we arrived right at opening and they were still sorting things as I mentioned.The smoothies were absolutely fantastic! I mean WOW. The Soursop was nothing like I have ever tried before. If anything it resembled a yogurt type taste but so much better! The passionfruit was also so refreshing. If I have one recommendation it would be to offer a bigger size in the smoothies. They appeared to come as a 12OZ only but they do offer coffee and 16OZ for the coffees.The Empanada was great! Cooked well and the dough around the beef was yummy. I’m use to having bigger empanadas but a true Colombian empanada is the same size they offer at this bakery.The Milhojas is a sweet treat I have never experienced before and it was so good. I would recommend this to anyone. Grab a Milhojas and a coffee and share it with your partner/friend.Last but not least the Ham & Cream cheese puff pastry. I will mention this also includes Jalapeño. Now, Jalapeño isn’t something traditionally used in the Colombian culture so this surprised my wife, but it was a delicious add in. The texture and crisp of the puff pastry was the favorite thing I had. It was almost like pretzel flakes that melted in your mouth. I really loved this pastry and I for sure could have eaten a few of them.One thing I would emphasize is that this is a bakery. I’m a 25 Year old who eats a lot so if you are looking to come here for breakfast just know it’s light pastries and coffee/smoothies. You won’t be leaving super full. I would recommend this place for a early weekend adventure. Or quick bite before having a late brunch.The Colombian Delights Bakery is a relatively new place and it sure is good! “We chose Mike’s Amazing Cakes for three reasons: the cakes are beautiful, the cost is reasonable, and the cake actually tastes good! We tried a few other places where the cakes just tasted sugary or they were going to cost $15/serving. We asked Mike for a custom flavor (dark chocolate) and it was exactly what I was looking for. All four flavors were delicious, we ordered extra cake and we didn’t have a single piece left over! Multiple people ate two slices, and we got a ton of compliments on the design and the flavors. We chose a relatively simple design and let Mike run with it and he created something that was somehow exactly what we wanted and better than we could have imagined!“
