“We happened upon this little gem purely by accident because we needed to use the restroom on our way from Roy to Tacoma. I always feel bad asking to use the restroom at a business establishment without buying something, so I checked out the menu and, when I saw they had a sandwich called Ellie's Garden, I knew I had to order it in honor of my youngest granddaughter, Eleanore. The sandwich was phenomenal! I shared it with my daughter and we found ourselves wishing we each had a whole sandwich. We definitely will be returning to sample more of the goodies Blue Steele has to offer!“

My friend and I got boba from the place next to HMART. Couldn’t even drink it cause it tasted so blehhh…So we went here and got 4 different flavors. “We have lived in several places and have tried lots of places here and elsewhere that sold banh mi sandwiches but these are the best banh mi sandwiches we have had! We think they might make their own buns because they are so very tasty and just as good as the fresh baguettes we had when we lived in France! The sandwich ingredients are fresh and flavorful and we especially love the wonderful paté they include on them, unless you tell them you are vegetarian or vegan. They make the paté themselves and it is also as delicious as any we used to have in France! We like their rice bowls too. If you haven’t been to the “Toast Mi”…located in Lacey…we highly recommend seeking it out and giving it a try. If you like banh mi sandwiches, you will be happy that you did!“

The crew is always nice and willing to customize your drink and food however you need. If you've never been inside, I highly recommend giving their space a chance. The theme is Mary Poppins, (if the name doesn't already give it away) so even if you don't opt for dine-in, you have plenty of knick knacks and treasures to look at while you wait for your guilty pleasure. Don't pass on this cute family cafe.“

The reason I removed a star was because of how loud it was. It was very hard to hear, I think because there’s basically no soft surfaces to absorb noise. I’ve heard of places adding acoustic foam to the bottom of chairs, they should maybe consider that.“

“First order: I was really excited. The portions felt on par with what I would expect for the cost, and most importantly, the meals seemed fresh. The flavors were really good and packaged well. As someone who hates leftovers, I really enjoyed my first order. I would have given 4/5 stars.

My second order this week, not so much. (Maybe I ordered the wrong things this week). The breakfast portions were small (I was still hungry afterward), and the quality didn’t feel the same as the week before. The scrambled eggs with asparagus turned the eggs slimy and brown—not the most appealing. Dinners during the second week were decent but included fillers, like what appeared to be canned green beans. More roasted broccoli would have felt better, in my opinion.

So it depends on the week, I guess. I already ordered for next week, so we’ll see. I’ll update my review if the quality improves. I would order again for convenience (I’m currently postpartum, so having premade meals is super helpful!), but for this price point, I would expect the quality to stay consistent or improve.“

“By mischance our coffee was spilt, a small calamity of our own making. Yet Rachel and Cassidy bore it with uncommon grace and good cheer, offering help without delay and treating us with true kindness. Such courtesy is a rare thing and speaks well of the stand they keep.
The coffee itself was most excellent! well made, warm, and pleasing to the taste. But it was their patience and goodwill that marked this place above others. Where frustration might have met us, we found instead generosity and smiles.

“Spotted this place on our way through Tacoma and so glad we stopped! Got the taro strawberry with oat milk — creamy, layered, and beautifully balanced between the nutty taro and fruity strawberry. Also tried the mango lychee, which was refreshing and perfectly sweet without being sugary. Both drinks were gorgeous to look at and even better to drink. “I attended an event the Tacoma Chapter NAACP held at the Jazzy's cafe in Tacoma. This was my first time at this establishment. The event was well attended by NAACP members from Alaska, Oregon and Washington. DJ TV Lee a well known DJ from Washington provided music. The establishment is small but everyone had a good time. This is a nice place to have lunch maybe dinner and drinks. Recommend people check it out. Employees very professional as well as the owner.“
