“Expensive teppanyaki restaurant. Service is meh. Fried rice, steak and scallops are decent but portion is small for the price. Dishes range from $50-$60+ which would be double the size at other teppantaki places. Chefs are nice and entertaining.

“Sushi Koushi is my absolute favorite sushi spot. My husband and I have been going since they first opened, and we have been so happy that a sushi place this good has popped up so close to home. Everyone here is very welcoming and helpful, and I'm always amazed at how quickly things come to the table even when it's a busy night.

Normally I don't like uni at all, but this is the only place that I have actually enjoyed it. The rolls and omakase always come out delicious and beautiful, but definitely give the Oita roll a try - it's great for any picky eaters in your party! The udon is also fantastic if you're in the mood for a noodle soup.

The one and only downside is that the location is a bit small and seems to be getting popular (for a good reason), so make sure to plan your visit accordingly!“

“My wife and I absolutely LOVE this place! It is smaller and quieter than most sushi spots in Bellevue/Seattle but it is by far our favorite. We have ordered a variety of their rolls and dishes but we now have out usual order of:
Tuna Roll
Caterpillar Roll
Yellowtail Tataki

It is such a hidden gem and don’t be fooled by the “fancier” places around. This is our go to sushi spot. We are unfortunately moving out of the Bellevue area but will still try to come back at least every other week. That’s how much we love this place. The service is also kind and welcoming. “This used to be a excellent beer bar serving amazing beer with mediocre food. Then it changed owners and they started serving solid sushi and still serving amazing beer. They changed chefs earlier this year and they are one of the best sushi restaurants who happens to serve amazing beer. They do sell out of specialty dishes (e g., Ankimo: monkfish liver pate) which is how it should be for delicasies.“

The rice was fluffy, and the veggies were fresh enough to make you think they just jumped off a farmer's market table—if I knew what that looked like, of course.

As I savored my meal, the sun beamed down, and I had to fend off some curious squirrels who clearly believed my bowl was their next treasure. I perfected my “I will not share” face—an impressive masterpiece, if I do say so myself.

The only reason I’m putting 4 stars instead of 5 is because I ordered the “house sake cold” for $10, and when the bill came, they had charged us for a $30 bottle of sake. When we asked about it, they said they don’t have cold house sake. Could have sworn it was on the menu. They insisted it isn’t… and honestly we didn’t like the sake anyway. But we still had to pay $30. We will still go back! It’s just good to know.“

Our table was clean and comfortable. Great variety on the menu; I was able to order non-sushi items for myself and daughter while my friends found some great looking sushi plates. My chicken Katsu was crispy and cooked perfectly, and included a fresh salad and a cup of miso soup, which was very tasty. We tried the potato-ball/squid dish (I can't recall the name) and it was VERY good!!! Great on a cold evening to warm you up. Prices seemed fair and our waitress was very helpful and friendly. There is a decent amount of parking in the lot right next to the building. We came here on a Tuesday evening which apparently is one of their slowest days of the week. The owner is a very kind Japanese man who also made our sushi. We ordered the Seattle roll, five color fish roll, a few types of nigiri sushi and the hamachi sashimi combo. However, prior to our meal, the chef/owner gave us each a small garden salad as an appetizer. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. As if that wasn't enough, upon clearing our table after our meal, the chef/owner gave us a few complimentary slices of watermelon to help cleanse the pallet. The ambiance was very clean and cozy with a good amount of seating to accommodate many customers. The prices are very reasonable. Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience and look forward to coming when whenever we are in the area.“

“If I could give Kobe more than 5 stars, I would. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The White Dragon Roll was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The Hot Pot Bibimbop arrived sizzling with perfectly balanced spices. The Teriyaki Chicken with Yakisoba was pure comfort food, and the Chicken and Dumplings were rich and satisfying.

For dessert we shared the chocolate ice cream, which turned out to be Oreo cookie ice cream—a great surprise and an even better value.

The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and it is clear the staff works as a team. The ambience is calming and makes it easy to relax and enjoy the meal.

“Stopped in at this teriyaki shop for a quick bite while I was having a tire repaired at the shop nearby. I ordered a chicken teriyaki with a side of gyoza. The food was excellent, the chicken was tender with nice looking char lines from the grill. The gyoza was just the way I like it with the outside crispy and the inside juicy. The restaurant had condiments on the table including teriyaki sauce which I always appreciate. Overall great experience!“

“Got takeout from big fish sushi tonight, hubs made a mistake ordering hand rolls instead of maki and they remade them for free. Super nice even though it was totally our fault.
