“I’ve come here multiple times, and it’s probably my favorite Korean spot in Federal Way—maybe even in all of Washington. The sullang tang is always on point. It has a generous portion of beef, and the soup is clean, rich, and really comforting.

The side dishes are great and pair perfectly with the soup, and the rice is always well cooked. I also really like the steamed dumplings—they taste homemade, are well seasoned, and are excellent.

I forgot what my bowl was but it was the chicken teriyaki I believe, while my sister got the beef teriyaki bowl that included an egg. We got drinks, she got a strawberry refresher drink & mine was the berry mix puree with soda which was interestingly good. It's an underrated location, so check it out before it gets busy & popular!“

“The food was incredible! I got the Kimchi fries with beef bolgogi. It was so good! I highly recommend this dish! You have order your food on a computer screen, which was lame and impersonal, so it looses point for service, but that's nitpicking at best. I highly recommend this place!“

“Yang Pyeong is always so delicious! My favorite is the #4. Beef broth, brisket (Yangji). I've also tried the Gamjatang (Pork bone soup) on a staff recommendation last time and it was also good. The staff is so friendly and the side dishes are amazing too. Highly recommend.“

“We enjoyed the food and the ambience at Daebak Wang Mandoo. The beauty of this place lies in its simple yet elegant ambience. The food was great, The dumplings are soft and exquisite. The roasted Pork dumplings left us asking for more. IWe have tried the sea food noodle soup, which was very very tasty, the perfectly cooked shrimp and calms were very juciy.

“This location is really unique, located between a massage parlor and a hair salon, this place is like a korean fried chicken joint mixed with a speakeasy. Club-like atmosphere with dim lights and modern music bumpin.
I ordered the fried chicken and it came with 10 pieces and was really solid. Bit expensive, at 22$ but perfect to share.
Friend orders the bulgogi and liked it
Didn’t get any drinks but the soju looked good.

“I was pleasantly surprised with how the Budae Jigae tasted. It was not salty unlike other Korean Restaurants in the area. The atmosphere reminded me of how a typical South Korean eatery was like when I lived in South Korea (Suwon-Si). Will come back and try the spare ribs next week! Great service as well. Got also the Beef brisket (which they give you a lot), the Spicy marinated Shrimp, and the Spicy marinated Chicken. For two people who are hungry, only 4-5 meat dishes needed. They do not let you take any leftovers home unfortunately. Even if you cook it. Also got their fried rice, the Kimchi Soup (really good), and the Cold Noodle dish (not that great, or just not our favorite thing compared to everything else and was unnecessary). It was my husband's first time having Korean BBQ, so was fun and he really enjoyed getting to cook his own meat and he loved everything and how much we got.“

Its my second time in here now and I got to say each time ive came in here I was met with a warm welcome as if I were greeted by a old friend, the restaurant is very clean with tables and chairs that can fit possibly 20-25 people dining in. The restaurant plays current radio hits which is nice when youre unwinding and waiting for your meal. I ordered the yangyeom chicken and the cheese & herb shake fries as a meal and comes with a drink. The shake fries were 10/10 the fries were crisp and soft to the bite and they did not skip on the portions I had a whole bag of fries I finished in one sitting. Now the chicken was absolutely delicious crisp, crunchy, and tender I could eat it without any sauces but the sauce did add a whole level of flavor truly delicious. Ill be definitely stopping by often for more.“

“Cute store. I originally wanted some donut but changed my mind when I saw they have corndog. I chose a classic half cheese half sausage.

The corndog was made fresh on order so I had to wait a little bit for it to be ready. Sause was spicy mayo cuz it was said to be best seller but to be honest I would have wanted something a little bit sweeter, but that was just personal preference. The corndog was crunchy enough for me, good cheese pull, decent sausage. Loveddd the dough it was good hehe.“

“My first time trying jajangmyeon I don’t really know if I can compare or have much knowledge on how it should taste but I thought it was good, also got the orange chicken my baby loved both. Chicken had a nice subtle orange flavor not too overpowering to keep you eating more, sides were also different flavor/texture to have kimchi is a nice touch to add so was the radish. The most friendliest people ever which makes this place above 5 stars. More than enough food for lunch & dinner I highly recommend Malri Hyang without a doubt.“

Note however the restaurant has recently come under NEW management. The prices are the same but take note they NO longer accept Groupons, which is unfortunate if you had purchased some prior. Perhaps they will offer a grand reopening special if they know what's good for their customer base. Came today to retrieve a hat I had left on my last visit, but 'twas nowhere to be found, possibly lost in the reshuffle. Was told they be closed for a few days circa 1/20/2026 to get things refurbished. Will try them again once the dust settles, and so may you.“

The Musubi I got was ice cold. I asked for a warmer one and was told they were all cold... Not sure why it’s okay to serve them cold here? Never happens at Alki. 2. So tired of the off brand ketchup packets. They’re not only wasteful and not biodegradable, but also rationed behind the counter at Alki like they’re gold. Bring back the pre-COVID ketchup dispenser so I can dip my fries without spending minutes sitting there opening packets one by one.“
