Big Pot Seolleongtang is my favorite Seolleongtang spot. Their Tendon Seolleongtang is my favorite. Locally, it's comparable to Yi's and JangAn. Based on my own preferences, I like the Seolleogtang at BPS the most. It's as good as what I've had in Korea. They also make a really tasty bulgogi hotpot that is a big step up from the typical bulgogi stew. I once ordered the Beef Short Rib Soup by accident and loved it.

“Wooree Bahnjeom serves my favorite jajangmyeon in Federal Way, and after three or four visits, the food has remained impressively consistent. The jajangmyeon has that rich, savory, old-school Korean-Chinese flavor I look for, and it’s the main reason I keep coming back. I also recommend the ganpunggi, which has a nostalgic sweet, tangy, and crispy flavor reminiscent of traditional Korean-style fried chicken dishes. The restaurant has always been clean during my visits, which I appreciate. I also respect that they close from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. for an employee break, something that is still fairly uncommon at Korean restaurants. Service can be inconsistent, however, and some employees have been noticeably more attentive than others. Still, the quality of the food has been dependable enough that this remains my go-to Korean-Chinese restaurant in the area. When I come here, I know I can expect satisfying food and usually leave very happy with the meal.“

“I am so glad we have Rainier Teriyaki as our go-to takeout spot! I’m a vegetarian and this is the best tofu teriyaki I’ve had! It’s nicely fried and stays crispy and reheats really well in air fryer. Their sauce is delicious and my partner loves their chicken. Our order has always been correct and neatly packaged and they confirm when you pick it up! I really admire their consistency. Very friendly staff, once I called just before closing and they kindly took my order which was for a friend who had just been visiting a family member in the hospital. “Daebak Wang Mandoo is one of those special mom-and-pop restaurants that deserves to be packed every day. Every time we come here, the food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell that everything is prepared with care and served fresh from the kitchen. The quality and taste have been remarkably consistent every single visit, which is something I really appreciate.

The restaurant itself is always spotlessly clean, and the family who runs it is genuinely some of the sweetest people. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly, and it’s honestly adorable when their kids are helping out around the restaurant on some days. There’s such a warm, family atmosphere here that makes you feel like you’re supporting a real local family rather than just going out to eat.

And the ultimate endorsement? My four-year-old calls this her favorite restaurant and asks to come here all the time! “It was really good!!!! I feel bad because we all weren't super hungry and accidentally ordered way too much, but we took it home. The service was really great — they were all very nice. The bathroom was also pretty nice according to my friend.“

“Quaint little eclectic shop serving donuts and Korean food. The yeast donuts are really fluffy and the donuts and donut holes are priced well! The filled donuts are near bursting with filling! They do not skimp! My husband really enjoyed the kolache pig in a blanket and said the pastry part was fluffy like the donut rather than flaky like a croissant.

You know it's a good donut shop when you're only there for a few minutes and the other customers who came, ordered their usual, and then left during that time were both police officers 🤣 I kid you not, it legit happened, and they didn't even come in together-it was separate instances!

Anyway, it was a great donut shop. The donut holes came out fresh while we were there, and they were spectacular! Just as an aside, there's a picture on Google maps of japchae which had me really excited, but they do not serve japchae (I asked). I'm guessing someone uploaded a picture from the wrong place when leaving a review. Just mentioning it, so you don't get your hopes up like I did. 😅“

“Had the jjamjjamyun and husband had the jjajangmyun and sweet & sour pork combo. Food was not overly seasoned and just the right amount of spiciness in the soup. The pork is made with sweet rice flour, so it gives it more of a chewy texture which is a nice change. We went in between lunch and dinner time, so it was nice and quiet. The staff was so friendly and nice, while being very prompt. I'll definitely be back!“

“A new up coming restaurant in burien just five minutes from the seatac airport and 15 minutes outside of seattle. Its my second time in here now and I got to say each time ive came in here I was met with a warm welcome as if I were greeted by a old friend, the restaurant is very clean with tables and chairs that can fit possibly 20-25 people dining in. The restaurant plays current radio hits which is nice when youre unwinding and waiting for your meal. I ordered the yangyeom chicken and the cheese & herb shake fries as a meal and comes with a drink. The shake fries were 10/10 the fries were crisp and soft to the bite and they did not skip on the portions I had a whole bag of fries I finished in one sitting. Now the chicken was absolutely delicious crisp, crunchy, and tender I could eat it without any sauces but the sauce did add a whole level of flavor truly delicious. Ill be definitely stopping by often for more.“

“We found this gem in a strip mall. Excellent food!!! We arrived for lunch and Grace was kind enough to explain the menu and show us sizes of the pho. We had the shrimp pho, Grace showed me where to get the accompanying garnishes for the soup, everything was so fresh! Food was brought to us and Grace bussed the table. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would recommend.“

“My mom and I have stopped by here a few times as she loves soondae and soondae soup and this is one of the only places that offers it nearby where we live. I have had their spicy beef soup, spicy pork neck bone soup, spicy soondae soup and spicy pork belly soup so far and have been happy with the portions and spiciness. My little brother really enjoyed their katsu here and shares how it is huge. The to-go packaging here is very well done and the presentation for when you dine in is a good amount for what you pay for. The inside is spacious with tables that can accommodate solo, duo, or group dining. They play soft pop or K-pop while you dine where it's not too loud. Though our recent visit, they suddenly blasted music and it was super loud and started me.

In our most recent visit, we ordered the soondae soup with the soondae and meat combo, spicy pork neck bone soup, and cold noodles. The cold noodles were pretty good, wished they had apple or pear slices to go along with it. I loved the texture of the ice slush though. Service here is friendly and the waitress checks in to refill banchans or to check if you need anything else. Strangely enough, they won't let you pack up leftover banchan which I thought was strange and a bit wasteful.“

“I've had Underground Kitchen before, via delivery, so I knew I already enjoyed the food, but this was my first time entering the restaurant. One concern I have is regarding the accessibility of the location. As the name suggests, the restaurant is located underground requiring travel via stairs. I'm sure the restaurant is ADA compliant, but I do not know where the wheelchair accessible route is. Asides that, the vibe of the restaurant itself is nice and has this Korean bar feel. The music is on the louder side, but I enjoyed the Kpop that was being played. The restaurant is generally clean and there are complimentary candies near the register. The service was great and I had no problems with the staff. I went here with a friend and we got the Half Fried and Half Yangnyeom Chicken, and the Kimchi Cream Udon with Beef. In order for a classic Korean chicken shop to be considered good, they must nail both the original fried chicken and the yangnyeom chicken, to which UnderGround kitchen did. I prefer their chicken over Pelicana because of how well seasoned the meat was. The original fried was perfectly juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The yangnyeom could have been spicier, but it is a good spice level for the average American tastebud. Nonetheless, despite yangnyeom chicken being a saucy chicken, the coating was still crispy. As for the kimchi cream udon with beef, it was divine. The last time I tried their food I had the one with pork belly, and I remembered enjoying it then too, but wasn't sure if the pork belly was doing the heavy lifting as my favorite type of meat. I was quickly proven wrong with the beef udon because this was just as good as the pork belly kimchi cream udon. The noodles had a great bite to them without being undercooked. The beef was soft enough to chew through with healthy teeth. However, the kimchi cream sauce is what carried the whole dish, as both ingredients balance each other out. The sourness of kimchi reduces the richness of the sauce to a perfect level that is creamy enough, but not overly fatty, while the dairy content neutralizes the spice. I highly recommend UnderGround Kitchen.“

“Great locale. Very unassuming but it’s what makes this place special. It could be a little overwhelming seeing so many options. This review is specific to what I’ve ordered.

Their chicken teriyaki is solid. Portions were ok. Surprisingly got more chicken than rice, but overall well worth $15. Chicken had perfect amount of char and was well cooked (not too dry). I do think they should’ve added more teriyaki sauce to the food though. May have been bc my order was takeout. KEY DETAIL: the sauce on the tables boosts the flavor.

Miso soup was delicious. Very deep and rich flavor; tofu used was a little too soft for the soup (in my opinion), but the soup was well balanced.“
