“As a Brit living in Seattle for the last few years, I've been searching for a good Fish n Chip emporium. Well, a recent excursion out to Spud in Green Lake didn't disappoint. Excellent service and outstanding food. Thank you!“

“I was in Ballard for nearby concert and wanted to grab some dinner so stopped into MacLeod’s a Scottish Style Pub. The pub was adorned with traditional Scottish decorations…flags, clan crests, pictures…etc. I sat at the bar and asked the bartender for a recommendation, who suggested the Shepherd’s pie to which I gladly accepted. I also ordered a Scotch Egg having never had one previously. The Scotch Egg came first and included additional garnishes of cheese and pickled vegetables. It was delicious; actually, the whole dish was excellent. The pie came soon after. It was a perfect portion for a light dinner. The dish was good. Very rich and flavorful. Interestingly, the mashed potatoes were a little cold, but the filling was too hot. Also, I felt the dish needed more salt and pepper. After I seasoned the dish, it was excellent. The service was fantastic!“

“Growing up in North Seattle this was a great place to grab lunch and now decades later and having moved away this is always a stop on my visits- great chowder, solid fish especially the salmon and what flies under the radar is the coleslaw which is oil based and not gross mayo based. Great views from outside on a nice day“

“My daughter and I were there Jan. 3 around 1pm. We ordered the Alaskan wild fish and chips with mango habanero sauce and the shrimp basket with ol’bay aioli. We didn’t wait for our food long and there were plenty of tables. The food was absolutely superb and the portions were literally perfect! 🧑‍🍳 💋 We left the armory extremely satisfied and still thinking about our meal! “This place is super yummy. It is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and then sit wherever you like. They have a large selection of seafood plates and a variety of sides. My food was fried perfectly and fresh. There is also all the sauces you would need and lemons. I highly recommend checking this place out if you want affordable yummy seafood.“

“On April 17, 2025, we (my Swedish cousins and visiting niece) had some of the very best fish and chips ever under new ownership of experienced Seattle owner/fry cook Brian T. Brian has moved into sourcing extremely fresh seafood from our local Western Washington tribes. Look for this great spot in the Pike Place Market courtyard, entrance hall just north of the so-called "original" Starbucks!“

“I had some fish n chips on 10/20 after watching the locks action. It was crispy, firm juicy and the tarter sauce was great. Fries were warm crispy and soft just how I like it. I would go again“

“This cool little mom & pop burger and seafood joint with great food at a reasonable cost. Plus they got ice cream which is nice bonus.
I'm not sure if mom and pop have any employees, I've only seen what I assume is a husband and wife duo knocking out some delicious food.
If the sun is out and/or it's the weekend, it's probably going to be busy, otherwise food comes out fairly quick. If I don't stop for a bite, I'll usually grab a cone and a coke.“
