“Classic fish and chips. Tasted and looked authentic. Loved the atmosphere as well. Very cozy and warm. A bit expensive tho. Nice to see they had a large selection pf scotches including the famed 25 year old Laphroaig that is like $750 a bottle. Service was nice and prompt - didnt have to wait too long, and found seating quickly.“

“Went to Sunfish a couple days ago after watching a video rating it as the #1 fish and chips place in Seattle. Didn't disappoint! The gentleman who waited on me was polite and charming. The fish was the best I've had...light on breading, moist and flavorful. We went to Spuds the next day and no comparison! Sunfish was much better!“

“Growing up in North Seattle this was a great place to grab lunch and now decades later and having moved away this is always a stop on my visits- great chowder, solid fish especially the salmon and what flies under the radar is the coleslaw which is oil based and not gross mayo based. “My daughter and I were there Jan. 3 around 1pm. We ordered the Alaskan wild fish and chips with mango habanero sauce and the shrimp basket with ol’bay aioli. We didn’t wait for our food long and there were plenty of tables. The food was absolutely superb and the portions were literally perfect! 🧑🍳 💋 We left the armory extremely satisfied and still thinking about our meal! A THANK YOU to the chef who took and cooked our order! Well done Matt’s Fish! Your people and food are why we will definitely be back!“

“This place is super yummy. It is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and then sit wherever you like. They have a large selection of seafood plates and a variety of sides. My food was fried perfectly and fresh. There is also all the sauces you would need and lemons. I highly recommend checking this place out if you want affordable yummy seafood.“

“On April 17, 2025, we (my Swedish cousins and visiting niece) had some of the very best fish and chips ever under new ownership of experienced Seattle owner/fry cook Brian T. Brian has moved into sourcing extremely fresh seafood from our local Western Washington tribes. Look for this great spot in the Pike Place Market courtyard, entrance hall just north of the so-called "original" Starbucks!“

“This cool little mom & pop burger and seafood joint with great food at a reasonable cost. Plus they got ice cream which is nice bonus.
I'm not sure if mom and pop have any employees, I've only seen what I assume is a husband and wife duo knocking out some delicious food.
If the sun is out and/or it's the weekend, it's probably going to be busy, otherwise food comes out fairly quick. If I don't stop for a bite, I'll usually grab a cone and a coke.“
