“Little Japan is the best and sweetest little family-owned sushi restaurant. I work right next door, and they are truly the best neighbours to have. During our store’s busiest times or after long working hours, we often order takeout from them, and they ALWAYS deliver it right to our door, which is incredibly kind. It’s a small gesture, but it never goes unnoticed. They are such hardworking and genuinely good people :)

I’ve been grabbing takeout from them for a long time now, and it never disappoints. The sushi and food are always fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. It’s my favourite thing to bring home after a long day.

“Disregard all negatives reviews, some people get off on leaving false negative reviews. This place is old faithful. Whether dining in or taking out, it will not fail you. Delicious food, great service. It even has a beautiful artificial cherry blossom tree which is incredible ambience and reminds me of the beauty of Japan. I love everything on the menu.“

The lady who runs the restaurant and serves is so very nice, always welcoming, attentive and friendly - she's lovely. The food is fantastic. It is tender, seasoned just perfectly, and a generous portion for the price. Every roll we've tried has been great, always fresh and expertly prepared. “Sooooo much better food quality since I went last (6years ago) I hadn’t been back after not enjoying the food years ago.
Once I’d seen a new chef had been hired and seen some good reviews, I had to come see for myself.
I’m from Vancouver so I know good Japanese cuisine.
First to mention, the chicken karage, haven’t had authentic karage in the area for years. Perfection! Dipping sauce is so balanced ✨
The miso soup is not too salty, had depth, but I do feel it would be nicely finished with a little spring onion.
Secondly, the tuna tataki, wow….every bite is so bright, smoky, umami, that hit of ponzu and lemon to squeeze, must try!! Love that it’s served with salad and daikon, crispy garlic so fresh and authentic.
Other highlights; tempura was decent, aburi sushi was so nice, want to try more.

Seriously, give them a try, if you haven’t heard thru the grapevine that they are so much better since new ownership. I almost don’t want to post this so I can gatekeep, as I noticed they were really busy on my last visit. The service may be a bit rushed and you can see the owner/manager is stressed. So not always guaranteed amazing service. But if you’re ordering out or go for the lunch box set when it’s less busy you’re in for a treat!“

“Best service I've had at a sushi restaurant. Server was checking on us consistently for refills of tea and water. The food was delicious! We got the chicken teriyaki dinner combo and mango roll to share. Was a lot of food and worth the price. Would recommend and definitely go again.
