Fig and tomato based gravy was a creative base with fried crispy Lotus. Connor was a gracious host, very attentive and made sure all the dishes came out perfectly.

“I had a very good experience. Had I tried more of their food I would more than likely give 5 stars. The place is very clean. Service was prompt and excellent. Every dish arrived steaming hot. Every place has their own spice combinations making the cuisine unique. They didn’t skimp on the finer touches you get when eating in someone’s home. Like curry leaves and such.“

“Quite probably the best biryani I'll ever eat.

Biryani is 90% rice cookery and the chef at KGF knows their business. This is, bar none, the best prepared biryani rice I've ever had. The grains were moist, cooked through, colored gorgeously, and properly seasoned. Spices were mellow background notes, not overwhelming punches meant to hide bad cooking. Meanwhile, the chicken 65 atop the rice was spicy, fork-tender tender, and good with or without lime, chutney, or raita.

The tandoori chicken was also perfectly prepared and temped. Moist, tender, and perfectly seasoned before being charred. I was impressed.

On the down side, $18 for four pieces of tandoori chicken felt really expensive. Maybe if I had been eating it on a fine tablecloth in a restaurant with wait service. Maybe.

Also, raita is a divisive subject; I like mine thick and mellow. This was watery with a cumin-grit aftertaste. It wasn't bad, not at all, just not my favorite version of raita.

All around, I will definitely be back. The preparation of the food was immaculate. It takes real skill to put out rice and chicken this perfect and tender.“

“I have visited this restaurant with my friends on Friday evening. Nice hospitality and service, should give 5 start for it. Good vegetable options were available, we tried the Paneer Hariyali(grilled and not fried) and it was very tasty; also other vegetable food was great and tasty. I also tried their Goat Biryani and found to be ok compared to other restaurant, definitely suggest to improve on Biryani taste.“

“Out standing experience. Super environment, very very friendly service, very clean hall. Food served was hot, fresh and sumptuous. B&B choices are great but mutton and chicken dishes are On the menu. Food was delicious and served very nicely and Nans were to authentic and one can eat them all the way. Prices are very reasonable but experience of eating in a better class restaurant was most amazing. It’s a best one for a family outing. Kids are welcome there too. They have kids menu or smaller servings available. We had also celebrated birthday for our grand son few months back and that was a super experience for all guests , they were surprised with the quality and quantity of fresh food served. I recommend them for any occasion.“

“The place was very busy, this may cause a variety of unwanted situations some of which are caused by customers themselves. We had to wait a little over 20 minutes which is not unusual for the day and time especially when the food is reported to be very good. While we waited we checked the menu and ordered our food which came to us nice and hot and without much waiting. We found the service to be very good and the food was excellent. We had the chicken tikka massala and the mutton as our main plates and also had the fried kale "fritters" (I forgot the name) which was very tasty. Everything was good and we can say this is a great place for Indian food. Will return.“

“Since we moved to Mill Creek a few months ago, our family has been regularly coming to Clay Pit, and we have never been disappointed. We vary from my heat-loving South Indian husband to my puny little Kansas tastebuds with our kids falling in between, and every time they get our preference just right. The flavor is PHENOMENAL with every dish!

We love the ambiance, it’s quiet and calm with lovely music. We enjoy seeing the chefs at work as well when we sit in the booths along the side wall. All the servers are kind and friendly without being overbearing, and so patient with our toddler.

This is a great place to take guests or just to enjoy a delicious meal with your family!

“We were visiting Seattle from New York, so we searched on Google and found the best reviews of Shahana Steakhouse. We decided to stop by for the Ramadan Buffet (we visited a couple more restaurants in Seattle), so the best Iftar buffet and the out-of-class service in the Seattle area is here, with excellent customer service and a perfectly managed buffet. I noticed they were crazy busy on weekdays. The restaurant was full of people, and there was a long line; the staff served dates in the line and continued filling the dishes with food, even for families that were joining very late. Everything was fresh and warm, including their delicious pizza, fried chicken, and tikka boti. I loved Shahi Tukray; you must try it if you are there for a buffet. They even served the food at the tables for the customers who came in later. They came to us twice at our table to serve the food. Everything was very well set up, and there was fantastic management. I am going there for suhoor/breakfast and will let you all know about the homemade parathas and omelets. Stay tuned.“

“Fantastic non-veg food in terms of all variety, especially the way they cook juicy Mutton(Goat).
I would have given 5star, if either tea cup size was better or the price should have cheaper for that small cup of tea.
I would suggest the manager to address or take care of this.

“Great to see a South Indian breakfast buffet in Bellevue! Pongal, vadai and chutneys were very good both times. Bonda and Poori was excellent the first time out of the 2 times I had visited. Special mention to the excellent service by staff who welcomes and serves with a smile. Last but not the least, clean washroom!“

“Gongura chicken is amazing. It is quite spicy and even though we eat less than medium spice, we love the flavors so much that we always combine it with our home-made raita to add a contrasting taste and it helps in lowering the spice a bit.
I hope they continue to keep the chicken quality as well as quantity intact.“

“Restaurants in Seattle area are on a whole another level. There's atleast 20 places offering buffet alone. Each competing with the other to offer you the best. Today I went to Biryani Palace in Bellevue and my experience was no different. The ambience is great. There are two sections with veg and non veg on either sides offering a host of dishes. I tried karampudi chicken, shola kabab, mutton pepper fry, amravati chicken curry, hyderabadi biryani and some methi chaman and pav bhaji masala. For desserts I tried the mango fruit salad. All the meats are halal and for $12.99 per person you get some great food with friendly customer service who restock often and treat you like a king.“

The food has fresh spices(very potent and yummy). The place had very nice people and was very clean. I loved their food and the staff did not make me feel dumb for asking questions that might be obvious to many people with more experience with Indian food. ?

The only thing I disliked is the direct overhead lighting—we went after dark.I am very sensitive to certain light and feel this makes it a little hard for me to eat on location. I am autistic so this might be specific to just me.

I will say, tho, the bright lighting made it very clear to me how much care is taken in this restaurant and how clean it was. The pride they take is evident everywhere you look. It isn’t the fanciest place but it is a place you somehow can tell means the whole world to someone.

Dietary restrictions: I have a cinnamon allergy that is really hard to navigate, especially around Indian food. I called ahead and he looked at the ingredients and double checked that the curry base doesn’t have cinnamon in it. Very wonderful of him ? I will note that I still had a mild reaction (which I resolved with medication) so be aware that if you have a severe cinnamon allergy, just don’t risk it. It’s a rare allergy so doubtful this will help anyone.

Kid-friendliness: I also brought a 15 year old and I would absolutely feel safe with them going here alone. Really, really nice people.“

Had asked before placing order if Thalapakatti mutton biryani is small rice, response received was no but was small grain rice so was disappointed, taste was average too.“
