“The street corn tots were delicious! I would go back just for those. The burgers were good, but the beef did lack flavor. Our server was very attentive. She checked up on us often. One thing that didn't go so well was that we got the wrong order. It was our first time there so we didn't realize it, and honestly, the food took so long to come out, we forgot what burgers we ordered. So when they brought out our supposed order, my burger came with fries when I ordered a salad. I thought hey, maybe they forgot it and had fries instead. I didn't let the server know because she was busy and we were hungry, already waiting a long time for our food, and on a schedule. We needed to be somewhere and thought an hour and a half was sufficient time to eat, appearantly not. I would give this place another try, hoping that the food will come out sooner than later and that we don't get the wrong food order.”

“Madras Cafe is an absolute gem of a restaurant! The owner warmly greeted us when we came in. He asked if we had ever eaten there before and when we said no kindly explained the menu. He asked our preferences and made personal recommendations for each member of our group. The food was EXCEPTIONAL! I never write reviews but knew instantly I needed to share my experience. The foods were flavorful and the spices vibrant. I have to mention the coffee. If you are a coffee drinker, then you are about to be ruined for all other coffee. It was smooth and rich. Reminded me of French press but better. The prices are reasonable and fits into any budget. The owner explained how each dish was best eaten and shared a charming story about how his mother's cooking influenced the restaurant's menu. I have never felt so welcome and at home in a restaurant. I highly recommend.”

Their coffee is smooth and flavorful, their Bloody Mary is top notch, and their beer selection is pleasantly satisfying. Their staff are down to earth, friendly and attentive. Their restaurant is always welcoming and clean. Food is consistently amazing. I highly recommend.”

Not only was the order ready when I arrived, but after I placed a separate small order and dropped my coworkers order of Horchata on the ground the young ladies behind the counter offered to remake it with no charge. “Visited the new Menomonee Falls location today. Loved the wood fire pizza 🍕 you can choose between ones on the menu or make your own which is really cool. The layout for seating is really nice. There are games to play at the tables with kids or family which is a really cool idea. The staff is really friendly, will definitely be one of my go to local places.”

“Under new ownership. I ate there with my wife, and my son and his wife. The food and service are excellent, everyone at the table agreed. We all had different dinners, a lot of depth in the menu. The guacamole is absolutely great. I can’t wait to try their food with Margaritas as well, we had flavored tea in the interim. A lot of restaurants are noisy inside yet this was not the case here. Next time we will try eating outdoors.”

The service has always been wonderful and consistent. The manager stops by the table a QUICK check in. That small touch means so much!! Yesterday I had the lemon cake for dessert friend's had the gluten free chocolate cake. We were all in HEAVEN!! My second time there a couple years ago we had a server who was maybe having an off day. I talked to the manager on my way out & he was sincere & grateful I had let him know.”

“This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Appleton area. However, I was disappointed with the front-desk folks’ lack of creative thinking and can-do attitude. When I called before arriving, I mentioned the number of people in my party and mentioned that I will also need a high chair. He said nothing available inside but patio is open and lots of seats are readily available. When we arrived, he was right, nobody was sitting in the patio. Bad news came after we were taken to our table, “sorry, we don’t have high chair available for at least another hour!” I understand that this may happen, but why do you tell me 5 mins before I arrive that you have everything available? Very disappointing, but this is even more disappointing when it comes from one of my favorite restaurants and I had guests with me.”

For the amount of money you spend you should get standard side dishes. Good but grossly overpriced. It's a place you should go to once to say you have gone.”

My kiddos loved it and gave it INFINITY out of 1 😆 they said the food was FANTASTIC! This is also the only place in Appleton closed a little later on a Sunday that has pho on their menu as well. All other pho places are closed by 7pm.”

“My husband and I tried Agave for the first time this past friday while doing some Christmas shopping. We were excited with all the good reviews however the service and food fell short. We were maybe 1 table of 6 with 3 servers on. Our food came out before our appetizer. My food was warm at best. My husband's looked like it had sat under a warming lamp. Our waiter never came to see how things were or ask about drinks. We then had to flag another waiter for our bill to find out we were charged dinner prices for lunch items. We just paid and left it was not worth the time. Also why is your restroom like a freezer? I could see my breath when I went in to use it!”

“First time at Kountry Bar (I know I know - shameful!!!!) but the beer was ice cold, the atmosphere was amazing, the bartenders were friendly and personable but the burger - OMG the burger was f-ing fantastic. I had the ghost pepper blue burger and it was seriously the best burger I’ve had in…… well, I don’t know when. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich and also loved it. We will most definitely be back. Seriously - you need to visit this bar and grill. You will not regret your decision to stop by and treat yourself!!! 💪🏼”

Did I mention the pancakes?? 🤣 Mohnens is truly a well oiled machine, everyone works together to make it run so wonderfully and it shows! Just watch them as they work, it’s incredible. Clean, friendly outgoing staff, as a customer you are appreciated, your business matters, prices are very reasonable, all ages friendly, walker and wheelchair accessible, fancy foofy coffee drinks, delicious milkshakes and desserts too. Some times of the day are busier so you may have a wait time, but honestly I’d rather wait for the quality I know I will get. There is definitely a reason they get so busy!”

Our waiter (unfortunately I forgot his name) was amazing and VERY personable. He made us feel important and he accommodated our every need. The food was amazing as well and it was prepared super fast! We didn’t have to wait long at all after we ordered. I got the Greek Bowl, husband got the Mexican Bowl. My husband can be picky, so I was a little nervous if he would like the food, but he loved it! We also shared some nachos, which he really liked as well. We recently relocated to the Appleton area after living 20 years in Wausau. One of the harder parts of leaving was losing all of the local small business places we frequented because we knew that their food was authentic and delicious. I happened upon Ong’s kitchen, just by exploring the area close to our house. I hadn’t yet had a chance to try it when a friend who lives here highly recommended it. I stopped in for lunch the other day and got the rice vermicelli noodle bowl. Which is a favorite of mine! Minus being to brave for my own level of spice 😝🥵 that I added(not the restaurants fault at all)….. it was a dish that reminded me of one of my favorite places that we had back in our old city. In fact, I am making my Husband get takeout from there today because I’m excited to try what else they offer. I am truly happy that this is one of the very first places that we found and we will be repeat customers. I’m sure you’ll even see my children in there because Pho & egg rolls are some of their favorites!! Thank you for sharing your delicious food with our community! It really is a place where it feels like everyone can coexist and belong. Dong po is better overall but significantly more expensive. Clean, appears to be family run, very attentive and fresh. I was so impressed I had to hop on and write a review while I’m here. Inflation has made eating out feel like a cash grab but this is the first time I’ve felt I got a great value and great food in a while!”

“We just had a birthday party here on Sunday for our two 7 year old boys. We reserved a room with one of the party packages, which included a ranch hand, pizza, ice cream, drinks, gift bags and arcade cards for each kid, and very accommodating staff. Nick is always friendly and provides great service every time we visit.”

“We were here at 3:30 pm, so it was very quiet. I saw someone complain about the cleanliness but it seemed clean to me even the bathroom.

It took quite a while to get our drinks and the waiter kept apologizing. I believe they were training staff at the bar.

As far as seating - plenty for big crowds.

Food - Pre-meal croissant with honey butter.
I ordered ribs with honey bbq, buttered corn and southern green beans. Everything was hot, cooked as it should have been and delicious. Even the corn had a nice crisp. The ribs fell off the bone. My rasp margarita was meh, I've had better.

Husband had grilled sirloin, loaded potato and green beans. He said it was very tender and actually very good. The raspberry iced tea was also great.

“First time visitor and ordered take out. The place is tastefully decorated and the staff very friendly. The massaman curry is extremely flavorful and has just the right amount of heat to enjoy every last drop. I’ve tried other local Thai restaurants and have enjoyed their curry dishes, but this place is definitely my new favorite!”

“FOX valley is in for a treat! I'm happy that I don't have to travel to CHICAGO for authentic PUERTO RICAN food. Now I have not visited this place but I did order it through DOOR DASH. So, my review is solely off of take out. However, the flavor was on point that I will visit the location SOON.

Dinner platter: Everything was pretty much seasoned correctly. My opinion is the marinated pork should have had a piece of skin as advertised. I rated that 3 1/2. The portions were fair. The pasta salad was a bit over cooked. Rated 2.5 The rice was good I rate that a 5. The pastel was a surprise but a welcomed one. The texture and flavor was great but I wish I would have seen a traditional olive! Rated 4.5.
Alcapurra: (plantain meat pie) rated 4 - missing Ketchup/mayo dip
Pastillio: Pork meat pie 3.5 Turnover texture too flaky where it's falling apart and wayyy to greasy.

Please see pics. In total I spent $45 on Door Dash. In total they still are a solid 4!! I'm super excited to try more!
