“Visiting Cedarburg Wisconsin for the first time today our group really lucked out in finding Sal's pizzeria. After being turned down at a few local spots for not having reservations we continued down main steet in hopes of finding someplace good for breakfast. After a few minutes walking downtown we crossed the street where the familiar smell of fresh baked pizza permeated the air. After a short discussion the group decided I should go inside first to check if they had enough room for the six of us and see if they made gluten free pizza. The answer was yes to both so we decided to give it a try and man are we glad we did! The six of us, all pizza snobs from Chicago had to agree Sal's makes an exceptionally good pie, literally among the best pizza any of us ever tasted. What makes admitting this so hard is the fact Sal's pizza is New York style, a hard pill to swallow for anyone from the Windy City. But hey, anything as good as Sal's needs to be celebrated so that's why we've decided to surrender this battle in the Pizza wars and share this amazing gem with the world.Mangiare“
“Stopped in recently for the first time and had the crispy chicken sandwich. It was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. Crispy, juicy and hot - served on a toasted brioche bun with fresh lettuce, tomato and a creamy mayonnaise. The Kettle Chips were perfect. Good price and great service. You can tell they care about what they do. Looking forward to trying the meatball sub.“
“Very nice and caring staff. The leadership was very concerned that our family was charged fairly and treated well (which we were :-) Our 2 kids of boy and a girl bike from the Cedarburg fairgrounds for the ice slushies and snack/candy food. Thanks you for always treating us friendly and fairly. Respectfully, The Howard's“
“Super happy to have returned to Old Germantown restaurant for the third time and first time inside the restaurant. Farm Fresh means extra work, planning and focus on ingredients. Forget instant gratification found in drive through's and fast food mass production-delivery. This is a family run throw back offering awesome craft beers made onsite and many creative personal pizza's. Just like the thousands of small craft breweries throughout the west, sometimes ale/beer types run out, you get to venture to other tastes! If you want some lager canned weeks ago designed for college kids on spring break, this is not a place for you. If you are in a hurry and long ago forgot what restaurant atmosphere is, this is not a place for you. If you need a large backlit sign to find the driveway (like main street America looks today), this is not a place for you. Here is a challenge, find the restaurant without your GPS!Last night we tried the "Milwaukee" pizza and if you grew up in Southeastern Wisconsin you know what a "Milwaukee" pizza should taste and look like. They nailed it and I get the left overs today! Regarding the Ale; I was a taste tester for a global Milwaukee beer company, have traveled the Western hemisphere trying ales and beers all over. The ales here are excellent. If you get an opportunity I highly recommend Old Germantown, enjoy!“
“We have been to Messina several times in the past few years, and always are greeted pleasantly, and enjoy the charming hand-painted murals on the walls. It is the wonderful food and service bringing us back every time. There's quaint Italian music, or a mix of Jazz and Sinatra piped into the lounge. A small but nice wine offering is a plus.Whether we have steak, pasta or seafood, we are always impressed. A favorite is their marsala. Salads are crisp, fresh pepper is applied tableside. Entrees are beautifully presented, and breads are wonderful, served warm with butter. My favorite is the desserts - I never leave without having tiramisu, and Messina's is wonderful... Even on Saturday nights, without a reservation in a snowstorm, or in July at the height of the dinner hour on a weekend this place shines - in every way. Food, Service, and Atmosphere. There is an exceptional wine list which we occasionally enjoy, too. I love this place and have always hesitated putting out such a wonderful review, because I don't want to find the place so busy as to not be able to give me the great service that we have always enjoyed! (Did I mention the coffee? Also rich and wonderful.) Enjoy it. Messina is fantastic!“
“I was at Ivee's recently for a work event and was pleasantly surprised with the attentive service, wonderful breakfast and pleasant staff. I asked for a "special order" skillet and was really happy with it! Nicely prepared and very tasty. We filled nearly every seat and they took care of us handily. 'Pretty flower detail on the tables too!“
“Ordered pizza, lasagna, and garlic bread for a small gathering at our house. Staff was very helpful in helping us figure out how much we would need, and getting things ordered (especially, Sam). Everything was hot, ready on time, and enjoyed by all… especially the lasagna/garlic bread. Even the small bit of leftovers we had the next day was delish ?? ??“
“Gave this spot a try. Ordered a large pepperoni, basil, and garlic extra thin. And a small pepperoni and black olive thin crust. Also ordered garlic bread with marinara sauce. First let me say. Their thin crust is basically hand tossed and the extra thin is a thicker version of a thin crust pizza. Both pizzas graded out to be about a 6.2/10. The cook on them was good. Not undercooked like many chain places do. The sauce is zesty with little to no sweetness. We preferred the sweeter sauce at Demarinis. But if you like a zestier sauce, you will most likely prefer Pepinos. Pizza was a tad greasy. Basil was dried basil, and not fresh unfortunately. But overall, I’d choose this place over any chain. The garlic bread and marinara was a bit confusing. They forgot the marinara unfortunately. So we just got the bread. The garlic bread looks to be French bread with sesame seeds on the bottom. Definitely different as the bitterness of the sesame doesn’t really mix well the buttery flavor of the garlic. 3.5/10 on the bread. Not my favorite, but not my least favorite. 6/10 overall experience.“
“We absolutely LOVE Tomaso's in Cedarburg. They have my absolute FAVORITE pizza - perfectly crisp thin crust with the perfect proportion of cheese, sauce, and toppings. Their pizza is wonderfully flavorful and I love that the sauce is on top of the cheese.Tomaso's in Cedarburg has a pretty extensive menu. As much as I would like to try other items on their menu when their pizza is your favorite you eat the pizza. We are also partial to their garlic bread and pickle fries; they are very delicious!Tomaso's is a table seating (seat yourself), order at the bar, and pick up your food at the bar establishment. Service is quick. The restaurant is clean. Prices are reasonable. As I stated, we love it here and will continue to frequent it! I highly recommend their pizza!!“
