“Very good food in a great location! Everything on the table was delicious. They have a terrific “backyard” with a huge screen…great for summertime baseball and catching some live music!Matty’s also has the best bourbon selection in the area!Dietary restrictions: Not sureKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Very impressed with the level of service here! Lydia was a delight and was very welcoming to my little dog, who joined me for Happy Hour. I met a few locals and they made me feel welcome as well, never having been to this place before. I will definitely recommend and return!“
“Dean and Sue, the owners, are terrific. The bar staff is still trying to keep up after 15 years of ownership. They are great as well, BTW. This place is the true Milwaukee corner bar. I am from the panhandle of Florida so I know about Fried Chicken. This place has an awesome fried CHICKEN PLATE. The difference is also how the atmosphere is. I can walk 1 block away and it is diff'rnt. GREAT PLACE WITH SMART PEOPLE. GREAT SERVICEWheelchair accessibility: Back door“
“We came here for some pre-dinner drinks on a Wed night and it was so cozy and festive, and not too busy which was a plus! The bartender was so sweet and gave me lots of tasters before I decided on the Vienna Lager (so good!). The lounge area with chairs and a couch set a great mood to enjoy a couple beers after hitting the Christmas Market. They have the coolest mapping of beers on the wall, honestly so informative to understand what beers come from what family (with specific examples of each one) and what glasses to drink them in. Downtown Tosa was so cute and we look forward to going back!“
“It was our first meal after flying all day. We ordered the hot garlic wings (extra crispy), French fries and a side salad. As far as flavor, the wing sauce was unique and tasty. The hot sauce had a sweet tang to it but had the kick from the red peppers. The fries were so crispy and the croutons for the salad was great. As far as “best wings ever”- not so much. The wings weren’t crispy and we asked for all flats, which they couldn’t do. But they gave us more drums than flats which was disappointing.Other than that, not a bad experience. The server was nice and friendly.“
“A group of us went here on a winter Saturday night. They don't serve food, but allow carry-in food. So, we brought our own snacks and spent the evening playing cards. The service was great and there was a good selection of tap beer and mixed drink options.“
“For the first time, very friendly and good service, the food tastes good at a good price ?❤Glory to GodVegetarian options: Different vegetablesDietary restrictions: Good meals whatever you wantParking: Off-street stationKid-friendliness: Depends“
“The smash burgers are amazing. The paninis are huge and delicious. The coffee is Milwaukee's own Pilcrow!!!!The bar is delicious. The lower level vault is a speak easy that is so fun. I enjoy karaoke Tuesdays but it seems like lots going on all the time.“
“Archie's reaches the peak of the perfect classic burger joint, reminiscent of a classic smash burger. The amount of food you get for a low and reasonable price at an outstanding quality. Absolutely my favorite in town thus far. Put on your leather jacket, throw on a vinyl classic, and enjoy yourself!Vegetarian options: There is a veggie burger option on the menu, the shared space ice cream shop had vegan options as well.“
“Had the BEST time at the Holler house last night. The owners could not have been nicer to us. We were late for our bowling reservation and they welcomed us with open arms, adjusted our time slot and told us great stories about themselves, their family and their bar/bowling alley. The bowling was a blast. After bowling we went upstairs and chatted some more with the owners and left them with hugs and a promise to return. SO FUN!!!“
“Cat lovers we have a new hangout! We had a great time at this place! I saw the name and knew I had to check it out. It's a nice corner bar in west Allis with lots kitschy cat decor and some that's honestly cute. The bartender was super friendly and told us about all the upcoming events and specials. It's whiteclaw Wednesday and they're $3 each! Will definitely be back!“
“I love this place even though I am technically banned from there for making a joke on stage during my bands set about Dime Bag Darrel which the owner misheard as a dig about him maybe shooting a guy.. right after he had to shoot a guy that tried to rob and shoot him... sigh The joke goes: "hey what were Dime Bag Darrels last words?" "Can I get some shots up here?"“
“Fun, but kinda relaxed too. I love that the crowd is a huge mix of ages and crowds. You don't have to be a regular to feel at home.Kid-friendliness: I stopped in with my 10 year old daughter to get my phone charger that I left there, and a biker (Harley, not peddle), played a game of giant Jenga with my daughter and served her a Kiddie cocktail. Now that they serve food, it's her favorite burger joint because bartender Leah chats her up like she's a sister to her. Kids don't belong in bars. But this one is an exception. Especially since the owner has 5 daughters and a few of them work there.“
“First time here and had a pizza. I love pizza and this pizza is legit. Amazing sausage, decent pepperoni, and nice thin and crispy crust. Don't let the fact that the restaurant is connected to a bowling alley fool you. This pizza can stand on it's own. Great service too.“
“Mandi is an amazing server/bartender. Our drinks and food were served quickly and we didn't wait too long for any refills. She always has a smile on her face and communicates with every single customer. She is friendly and an asset to Liquid Johnny's. We will definitely be coming back!“
“We were staying at the hotel down the street and easily walked to this great neighborhood bar. The bartender,Cindy, learned our names and drinks right away and we enjoyed talking to a couple of the local folks here. We had a bar pizza that was pretty good. It was a nice evening and would drop in again if we passed through again.“
“My husband was told about this place from his boss. We decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did. The food was amazing. Went on a Friday and it was packed but got a table right away. The only negative thing I have is, the clam chowder soup could use smaller potatoes and more clams. Other than that the soup is a 5 out of 5 for flavor. The shrimp dinner I got had HUGE breaded shrimp. My husband got the breaded cod, very good. And let's talk about the coleslaw. I haven't had a decent slaw in yrs and this is sooooo good, if you like it creamy. We highly recommend this place. And we will definitely go back.....“
“Loved this place. We snuck in there late on a Sunday (didn’t know anyone) and by the time we left we felt like family. It was my wife’s birthday and they couldn’t have made her feel more special. Everyone in the bar sang to her. Don’t forget to say Hi to the owner. What a little gem.“
“Da Bar is a fun bar wth pleasant staff. The new bar up the street called Da Bar and Grill sells the food. Ive never tried the food there yet though. On sundays for football the owner has free buffets in back area from Rupena's which is a very nice gesture. Stage area in back for bands and party room to rent out if you want to host something there. Little dingy in back tbh could use a new floor as well but other than that its good. Owner is very kind and fun. Enjoy his gaming machines and looking forward to the shuttle bus starting this spring for Brewers baseball games.“
“I am not a drinker but I love going to Devines where I do play bar dice and drink my Diet Pepsi. The penny machines they have are vintage and lots of fun. They have a pool table and the best darn free popcorn I've ever eaten at any venue. It's always a fun time at Devines. Bartenders are fun and keep the fun going. Come on out to Brookfield to have a brewsky at Devines, N. 124th about a long block north of Capitol Drive. Bring your well-behaved/social k-9 along to join in on the fun. All the popcorn on the floor is for the dogs. Humans get their popcorn from the popcorn machine.“
“The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and you have an awesome bar to socialize in right next to it. Jay has weekly rates as well as monthly. Awesome guy to talk to and has a great place to stay.Parking: The motel parking is a little tight, but plenty of room to park my dually.Across the street from the bar there is another parking lot that has lots of room as well.“
“I gave them 5 Stars for Atmosphere but don’t expect a 5 Star restaurant this is a quant small town bar/ restaurant. We go for the Friday Fish Fry, they take your order when you arrive and seated when food is ready. I had the Baked Cod I have a big appetite and was very satisfied with the LARGE portion at a reasonable price. They are always packed but with their efficient system you get served in a reasonable time.Dietary restrictions: I had the Baked Cod with Butter no sides .Parking: Parking lot can get full when busy but there is street parking adjacent to restaurant.“
“I’m town from North Hudson, Wi this weekend.Stopped here to use the restroom Saturday night, found scrumptious pie slices for dessert to go from a local man who seemed to be a regular…. If anyone can can place me in contact with him I’d be grateful. This spot had a very nice bartender, the regulars were so polite and friendly, bathroom was clean, and they had a pool table! When I find my self here in the future I will make a point to spend my time here. I WANT TO BUY MORE PIE FROM THAT GENTLEMAN!“
“2/28/24 updateService still off. Sat at the bar bar tender ignored until I asked other staff about their opinions on food options. Bar vibes were off. Don't enjoy being ignored when I sat right in front of him. Blah serviceThe service was way off. Switched waiters on us. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Food was fantastic.“
“We had a table of 4 with old fashions and jalapcheese curds before dinner. The drinks were okay, but the curds were really good. For dinner we had cod, perch and coconut shrimp with potato pancakes and fries. All came with coleslaw and bread. The portions were huge and all tasted great. The only issue was that it took over an hour to get our dinner. This was because they had 1 server and 1 bartender for a full house, and although they were extremely under staffed, I felt they worked their tails off and were very friendly and attentive under all that pressure. We spent $125 for 2 appetizers, 4 meals and 8 cocktails which i think was very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. I'm sure the staffing issue was a one off so we plan to go again. I highly recommend you give them a try“
“After driving past this place for years I said to myself let's stop by and check it out because it was a cold damp/rainy afternoon and a perfect place to chill. The place has this medieval theme with a suit of metal and other pieces on the walls. The place has a small bar with a few tables, gaming machines etc. They have a unique shot game with numbered brown paper bags and a dice you throw which determines what you get, you have no idea of what you get and the bartender doesn't either. A 1 one a 6 on the dice gets you your choice of the brown bag and 2 through 5 you have to drink that bag. They also have a card game Tommy was playing with customers that I have never seen that people were excited to watch and in the end took $1 from the customer. Tommy was my bartender who knows how to pour a drink but didn't understand the gin Rickey and made it with a lemon after I told him twice how to make it, he promptly fixed that. The place is all regulars coming and going who don't live in the neighborhood because one guy lives in my neighborhood so people make the drive. Overall it's a unique dive bar with decent prices and friendly people.“
“We went for trivia. It was packed, yet the service was quick and kind. The beer selection is very good and well organized. There were a ton of TVs which made watching baseball easy to do. Our server was helpful and made the experience better. The menu looked nice, but we stuck to cheese curds and beer.“
“My neighborhood "cheers". I moved to the area 2yrs ago, and I just started visiting this place in the summer. I like it here. There's always good vibes. Sarah and Dawn are awesome! Sarah makes the best wings and they have a nice variety of flavors! The drinks are well made, and the prices are affordable. It's a nice place for a quick bite to eat and a drink after work. Game days are always a go!“
“Ok. Once again, I go to dive bars all over the world. This one has cracked my top 10 for sure. It is a total dive bar but the bartender Jenna and the day bartender that was not working along with the customers in the bar were AWESOME and treated me so incredible. I felt like i was gone in the south instead of the mud west. This place is a jewel!“
“Awesome hidden gem of South Side MKE. Great ownership with lots of family history. This is a dive bar that I can enjoy. Pool table n darts plus gaming machines. Not to mention they have cooked meals sometimes ready for you if you need to soak up your good time.“
“Went here for a Marquette Big East Tournament game during lent on a Friday. Lots of TVs, packed house, our servers seemed cool under pressure though and the upstairs had the game volume on.Food was good, tried a lot of different things and bartender was a little hammered but he seemed like he was still on top of his game lol.“
“I have been coming to Nicky Migz for the better part of two years.I have to say, the staff has always been there for me and my family, I have two daughters that love the family friendly and inclusive atmosphere.Yes the GM has had some demons and over my interactions I am confident to say he and their family have shown me nothing but to be a honest and thoughtful family.althoughthere has been instances of delayed service and wait times it has always been made correct. I willContinue to support Nicky migz bar and grill as long long as they continue to accept and support every single person who enters their establishment.“
“Love this place . It’s been my bar since 2008 . Love the bartenders . Especially Kristi. They will always remember your name. Reminds me of cheers. Where everybody knows your name . I’ve always loved their machines . First place I think they won $1500. Kept going back since then.“
“Love these old places. Established in 1959. Stopped for a drink (Monday at 3pm) Bar was very busy with an older crowd. Everyone was super friendly, guests and the bartender. Fast service and super reasonable drink prices. $3 Tito's. Still has the old school cash register.Parking: Parking up front was almost full. Plenty of spots I'm back.“
“Great food and atmosphere. We got BLTs, chive fries and cheese curds. All were delicious. As an added bonus Dan helped my mom locate her grandparents old property that had been lost to time. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for making mom's 70th birthday extra special!“
“This place rules beyond belief. Lou is as amazing as the food she makes and the drinks she serves. I had a bacon cheese burger with onion rings and "Oh My Gawd" it was amazing! Succulent, dripping with flavor, amazing in every sense, and best part: Lou makes it right in front of you! She asked if what you want every question. She loves her customers beyond belief. She's the real deal, and she lives to make Phylo's the best. You'd be 100% amazed if you tried this place. Wow! Lou, Phylos, I love you guys! Best burger in Stallis and maybe, just maybe, in all of the County. Wow.“
“La Caleta bar and restaurant is amazing. The staff customer service is excellent. Let me first start with the dip with tortilla chips. You will not find this dip anywhere else. It sooo... Good. It is not the traditional dip. The food will not disappoint. believe me.“
“I have driven past this place for a couple years now and I have never seen an open sign light up but today it was shining bright so I stopped for an adult beverage. Brian was bartending on my visit and it was all regulars but they didn't make me feel like an outsider. I ordered my Gin Rickey and no one in the bar had ever heard of it, no drink for Brian today but any bartender who can make one gets a drink on me. The place is your typical WI dive bar with a theme of bobble heads because the owner collects them. The staff was very friendly and the Gin Rickey was very refreshing. The place has a small bar with one giant flat screen and smaller flat screens around the room.“
“I have been driving past this for years and I don't remember ever seeing an open sign and the sign lit up and maybe because it was a dark rainy day it was just noticeable so I stopped over for some pictures and to add a Yelp page, the Steve stop by. The bartender and one person at the bar welcomed me as I walked in so it's a friendly place to new people. The bar is a typical Milwaukee dive neighborhood bar and nothing fancy with a pool table, flat screens darts etc. as far as food goes it's typical frozen pizza only I'm told.“
“We had their Fish Fry on Friday...AH-MAZING! We've gone to a lot of fish frys in the area, and Belly Up's was probably one of the best we've EVER had! Fish was very tender and crispy, fries were great, and the coleslaw was a perfect combination! We ordered everything to go (it was still hot when we got home even) because we had a little one with us that was getting antsy, otherwise we would of most definitely stayed for the exceptional atmosphere! Looking forward to our next visit!“
“Looked for a spot nearby to play pool and as we walked in someone goes uhoh the cops are here. ? that set the mood for an awesome experience! Patrick was an absolute riot and ESPN Gary is a solid shot in pool! Everyone talks to everyone felt like a small town up north bar! And POPCORN literally on every table!!! Can't wait to go back!“
“"Our House" played Friday night and we had the Fish Fry. $13.00 it was very good. "Our House" is a five guy group. They get the crowd involved by going out on the dance floor and singing. They sang " God Bless the U.S.A. with everyone singing along and the American flag presented by the Legion Commander. It was a crowded dance floor all night. A good time had by all! Definitely will go again! ?? ??“
“The network will always be my favorite bar in Milwaukee. The atmosphere is great, the bartenders always make sure you have a drink in hand & are super friendly! You will never go to this bar and not have a great time! Great prices, atmosphere & bartenders. What more can you ask for?! ?“
“Tuesday's and Friday's they're open to the public and it's totally worth going. The drinks and beer are dirt cheap and there's free fresh popcorn to munch on. The regulars are friendly and will likely strike up a conversation with you; many of which are retirees or folks from surrounding local businesses.“
“Great service! They had very friendly staff and owner who were very welcoming to us. It was fun for a packer game and they served free food as well on the day we came which was a plus! Drinks were a great price, it was very clean, and they had a nice cozy setup with so many TVs which was perfect for watching the game. Bathrooms were also well kept and appreciated the feminine products they had as well! Def would recommend and come back!“
“I have patronized Dales since 1992 and his prices are customer friendly and the people spirit for the most part is inviting and fun Dale is a great human being and one of the best businessmen in the world I love him and respect him due to his grace and care of his staff and customers“
“Melinda the bartender was amazing. They have a great place, well kept & maintained, for a borderline area they've done a truly amazing job over the last 25 years.THE NEIGHBORHOOD SHOULD BE BLESSED & HAPPY TO HAVE SUCH A WELL RUN BYSINESS IN THEIR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD“
“I like getting into the different neighborhoods for food and drinks because I like having new experiences and today I was going to check out this place. It's a neighborhood dive bar with all regulars which is ok because they let me be the outsider. The bartender was friendly and once again has no idea of what a gin Rickey is. It's an older neighborhood bar with a pool table, wrap around bar, music machine etc. The music was kinda loud for early afternoon with 70s to 90s love songs, maybe a broken heart was in the bar. It has flat screens and cool stone walls with nice character which you don't see a lot but it's charming in a dive way.“
“Traveling from Cincy to Wisconsin & picked a highly rated family restaurant!!Busy lunch crowd for superb food?I chose a salmon sandwich w/lemon aoli & a delicious bowl of New England Clam Chowder, made from scratch!! Service is very attentive, lovely greeter & pleasant “
