“I really like the food and ambiance. I got some matcha, a burrito, and a granola bowl. They were able to make my burrito bacon free. They make the food to order, it’s not premade. The girl who helped me was super nice too.

They have like a mini store with items you might need like personal hygiene items, but also items for your pup like dog treats and dog care items. They also have cute handmade earrings. It’s a very cool concept, and I appreciate that they have like a “mini convenience store” given that there’s not many places around the area to get these items. Perfect for emergency or a quick buy if you don’t wanna drive 20 min to the nearest convenience store.

I had been here before and I loved it. I don’t live in the area, I actually live like a 25 ish min drive from this place but I wanted good food and remembered visiting this place after a yoga session at perennial. I drove here and couldn’t find the place initially, and thought they had closed and it made me really sad. Then I called the number on maps, and they’re still open, GPS is just weird.

Walking around this coffee shop/mini convenience store made me think “wow this is such a cool concept, and I hope they stay in business” which is what compelled me to write a review :)“

“It’s hard to make food a sexual experience but the Spicy Shrimp Po’ Boy f***** my face. Fuckin’ F**** a lot of places tone spice down for ‘general pop’ but this place gives it to you raw. If it says spicy it’s spicy but it also delivers a balance of flavor with heat. It was an explosion of awesome in my mouth. So, if you are looking to eat some delicious food while in Madison and need a foodgasm, visit Stadium Take Out you will have your mind blown.“

“They had a glitch with their online order; let me order Prime Rib on a day that they did not serve; when I arrived to pickup, they had no online order for me, even though I received a confirmation. They prepared another steak meal - but it was excellent!! Great flavor!! When ordering online, may want to double check they received the order.“

“Imaginary Factory (or “If” iykyk) has a Clockwork Orange themed decor. Think Korova Milkbar with fewer sociopaths and more good cheer.

On offer was a Coconut Julius, an Orange Julius inspired frozen cocktail with coconut milk and wine. As a latchkey child of the 90s, I had no choice but to order. The first sip was a proustian moment. I was immediately transported back to the food court of my childhood suburban mall.

The star attraction of Imaginary Factory is owner and bartender Hastings. Think Sam Malone with the affect of Norm and the sex appeal of Frasier.“

“We held a birthday party at State Line Distillery on short notice due to weather concerns with the outdoor venue that was planned. They were exceptionally welcoming and extremely accommodating. So many guests commented on what a great space State Line offers—both inside and outside. Not to mention the delicious high-quality drinks and friendly, helpful staff. High praise and top recommendations for this local gem. 💜“

“I have been here multiple times, and every visit is nothing short from amazing! Wait staff are always unbelievably friendly and attentive, the food is always made fresh to order and comes out looking beautiful every time. There isn’t a single item on the menu that I haven’t liked. Prices are more than fair, and competitive with most State St restaurant prices. The owner is very sweet and is always happy to see you! Every time I’ve come alone she makes sure I have a stuffed furry friend to keep me company.

If you’re ever in the downtown area, I highly recommend stopping by for lunch, dinner, or a snack, and have it accompanied by a beautiful cocktail!

“Chocolate Shoppe catered our wedding dessert and they were completely perfect! They bring a truck with about ten flavors including 1-2 DF flavors, and scoop into dishes or cones. The guests loved it on a hot, summer day, and it felt a lot more memorable than cake. They were super easy to work with in booking the event and the employee who worked our event was so kind. It was a huge hit and the ice cream was, of course, delicious! We would definitely book them again for a large event and would recommend them to friends.“

“I got a 12 oz half caff hot mocha with oat milk and toasted marshmallow with a chocolate croissant at ~2p on a Wednesday. I didn’t have to wait long at all, there was not an overwhelming amount of people, and the barista was very sweet. The pastries seemed to be either prepackaged or at least not made in house. I wanted a sweet treat, and that’s what I got!“

“We came for lunch, as I was looking for a good ribeye. Immediately felt at ease upon entering. Even though it appeared pretty busy, we were sat right away. We needed time to peruse the menu, and our server Jordan never made us feel rushed. He brought us water, and gave us some time. We had the spinach dip, bone in ribeye, and ahi tuna steak. It was obvious that the dip was freshly made, and my rare ribeye was the best steak I’ve had in a long time. The housemade chive butter was also excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the music stylings were en pointe for my taste. This is the kind of establishment I love to support.“

“They have very good food but the staff makes peanuts and is hungry for tips. I usually try to tip 20-25%. However one time when I got the bill it was way more than I had expected and I didn't have the funds to leave a tip. I felt really bad. To top it off I was told if I couldn’t tip better. don't come back. I instead of 2 drinks costing $13.00.(like the other businesses on the block)The bill was $21. I would have been leaving at least $5, but now I couldn’t. I feel the staff is a bunch of snooty college students, living off their rich parents dime.“

“I've been a long time customer here (15+ years). Besides the beauty of mixing Gelato with espresso (order the Javalatto people), my favorite thing is the environment. I love seeing the long term staff, and the owner, who I've seen throughout my time as a customer. Most of all, I love that they ALWAYS make me happier, especially on days I'm having those rough mornings. I really try to go in on those days I know are gonna be long. Between my delicious caffeine boost, and their warm welcomes, they always start my morning off better. Thank-you to Renee and all of the Java Cat staff for the morning pick me ups.“

“I would highly recommend their noodle dishes. I ordered the beef noodle and was really happy with it. My boyfriend ordered a rice bowl, at a noodle place, and was disappointed as you would expect. Great service and they placed us by the window which kept us entertained watching an array of different people walk by.“
