“I've been a long time customer here (15+ years). Besides the beauty of mixing Gelato with espresso (order the Javalatto people), my favorite thing is the environment. I love seeing the long term staff, and the owner, who I've seen throughout my time as a customer. Most of all, I love that they ALWAYS make me happier, especially on days I'm having those rough mornings. I really try to go in on those days I know are gonna be long. Between my delicious caffeine boost, and their warm welcomes, they always start my morning off better. Thank-you to Renee and all of the Java Cat staff for the morning pick me ups.“

“I spent about two hours here while waiting to go to work. I got a slice of quiche and a coffee, and found a comfy place to sit. The coffee was self-serve and I was able to get a discounted refill. I was pleasantly surprised when they heated the quiche up in a toaster oven. It was delicious.“

“Moka is the place to go for coffee in the area. I’ve been going for years and they are always prompt, polite, professional, no matter who’s working. I had a long week, lost my wallet, and dropped by for my usual coffee. I forgot to add my new card to Apple Pay and it declined when I went to pay. I apologized and said I’d be back in 10 minutes, to which Ashley kindly said don’t worry about it, it’s on us today. Made my week and of course will be back again. Also, you can get a coffee twice the size at half the price here that tastes better than the competition. Moka does things right, has fantastic customer service, and provides a great product at a competitive price.“

“Moka on East wash is the best coffee shop in Madison. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. The matcha is what i get every time and its always amazing and delicious. “First time my mom and I came to visit and we were very impressed with the atmosphere which felt rustic and homey. The coffee was delicious and the cream cheese raspberry muffin we had was fantastic.

This would definitely be a place to work and hang out.“

It was the end of the day, so immediately the employees were apologetic about the "limited amount of items available". There were PLENTY of items available and every one of them was absolutely delicious. We were able to try their butterscotch chocolate chip bars, salted caramel brownies, and two of their cupcake flavors. We are typically not dessert people, but absolutely cannot wait to return, due to the unparalleled baked goods and the exceptional customer service! It's the perfect level to have a conversation where you don't have to yell or whisper. They have vegan and gluten-free food options and a great selection of coffee and tea drinks. It is conveniently located within 2 blocks of Capitol Square and is attached to the adjacent hotel lounge area.The location is very spacious with plenty of seating and a large window. The store is very clean and the staff are excellent.I ordered a Paradise Drink but they ran out of pineapple bits. They asked if I would like dragon fruit or strawberries in it. It was so kind of them to still give me some dried fruit with the drink.The dragon fruit was scrumptious when paired with the pineapple and oatmilk mixture.“

“I stopped by this location while in town. I really enjoyed my caramel cold brew. They do have drive thru and while in line, a young lady came out to take my order. She was very friendly and upbeat. Once I got to the window, a gentleman give me my order and thanked me for visiting. My cold brew was just what I need to get my day going! Thank you so much and I would visit again if in area!“
