“Don’t come to Madison very often but when I do, it’s always a stop at Ian’s pizza. Someone suggested the Garver feed mill location and I was pleasantly surprised.
Very cool location, unique set up. I wish I had more time to explore around this area with the bike and walking pass.

The pizza is always delicious. I enjoy how friendly the services. Two slices and two canned root beer is $18. Not a bad price at all.

“So good!! Small spot, limited seating, offers outdoor seating as well. Food was so good!!!! My kid had the mac and cheese and cleaned her plate, portion was big enough 2 small kids could share it. I had the Italian beef and it was perfection, the au jus was so flavorful and the sandwich overall was delicious. They also have a wide variety of ice cream.“

“For a loyal customer patronizing Glass Nickel for decades, I shouldn't be in a position to need to write this. With all the problems, - and it seems that nearly each order has come with one or more - I still came back for the great taste of Glass Nickel pizza. However, the most recent issue made me finally decide to take my business elsewhere. My pizza had (over three inches) of no toppings toward the edge. Unacceptable. It appears that the mushrooms are not chopped into bits anymore like in past orders, and that I appreciate, but it looks like the big barren spaces, sans toppings, made up for that. I asked for a refund, but was given a half credit. In addition, I had to dish out more for the tip and delivery charge. I'm finally done with them.“

“This has been my favorite pizza place since I was a teenager and there was one where we lived. Now I only get to go when I'm near one which isn't often. Today's pizza was soooo good. “I absolutely love the gyro here and it’s consistently tasty, hot and fresh every time I order it. I’ve ordered from here well over 50 times in the last year and only had an issue with my order twice and both times the employees corrected the issue and got new food out to me asap and was so apologetic and helpful. Everyone I’ve dealt with at this location has been friendly, professional and so helpful.“

It’s a bit of an awkward wait (longer than you’d expect), and I wouldn’t recommend eating at the tables inside unless the weather is poor. Go outside and enjoy the view!

“I have been too many, many different restaurants trying different things and this restaurant is like a One-Stop shop for everything you would want. It doesn't matter what type that you're looking for. These guys have it and they're very good. They're very respectful. They're enjoyable to be around. They're very, very affordable and I would recommend this 100% of the time every time. You don't need to go anywhere else. They have pretty much anything you would want. Not sure why this place received such poor reviews but I have to disagree. I am a huge pizza lover and this hit the spot!

Customer service was great and with a smile.

Picked up a duo pepperoni slice around noon. The slice was soft, cheese was plenty,sauce had the right level of seasoning, and the dough was airy and light.

Perhaps it tasted so good because of the time of day. The lady behind the counter did inform me that all the slices were fresh.

I'd urge you to pick up a slice around noon and see for yourself.“

“This would not be a four star restaurant in Paris or New York, but it is a four star restaurant in a motel in Madison, Wisconsin. I had the sirloin twice during a three-day stay in the motel and found it miles ahead of one I had at a popular bar not far away. I carefully described how I wanted it cooked, and it came just that way on each of the two nights. The mashed potato side is delicious and should not be eaten by anyone!

This is not a fancy restaurant, but is quiet and pleasant. Eating outside on the patio is also enjoyable. Since we live close by, we will be coming back regularly for the excellent food at surprisingly good prices.

Edit: We did go back again last night and I and my son both had the steak. Strangely, it was a lot thinner than before. Maybe 5/8 of an inch instead of 1 inch! It was still cooked correctly, but was no longer exceptional. My wife again had the spring rolls and she indicated they were not cooked as well as before. Also, I should add since people are reviewing it, that the breakfast for motel guests is no big deal. It is a run-of-the-mill motel hot-table breakfast comprising scrambled eggs, probably from powdered, and those little sausages instead of the bacon that the best places have, etc. So only four stars, but still a nice, modest place we will return to.“
