“The staff is always very friendly and very easy to talk to. Very understanding. I brought a person asking for food into the establishment, and afterwards found out they had been hustling customers for food on the regular. The employee discounted my sub for not knowing what was going on. That generosity afforded a large tip. Clean establishment with good music playing too.“

“Honestly the best store I've been to in the Madison area. The store is always clean, the associates are super friendly, the sandwich quality is VERY consistent between team members, and this is the only store I can trust to NOT put black olives on my sandwich instead of black pepper. My only complaint is that it's kind of a garbage location with no street parking nearby, but that's the franchise owner's fault.

“I placed a delivery order around 11 am today and learned that sometimes JJ has to go through a 3rd party delivery service. After about an hour it still showed that the food was waiting to be picked up, so I called the store. The employee who answered was very nice, and said they just remade my sandwich due to the 3rd party taking so long, and had already refunded my order. I'm about 5 minutes away and offered to just come pick up the sandwich. Not only was their new toasted sub still warm, they even gave me an additional free sandwich coupon. “This is a great place to get food if you’re in a rush or just don’t want to cook. The food is amazing and the variety of ingredients they have is phenomenal. In my experience it has to be 5 stars. All the things are great and the people there are always kind to me. There’s a specific one that I want to shout out to. His name is Tristen and he was a great guy. He works hard every day and has a very nice personality. His service will impact the entire restaurant and I hope he does well. Overall, great place, totally recommend if you are in or are passing by Oregon.

I was totally impressed with the quinoa black salad I ordered for lunch - excellent mix of textures and the flavors of the components complimented each other. There are no tables at Carte to dine-in, but its not difficult to find a table elsewhere in the Union (Strada, the Rathskeller, the Terrace).“
