“We ran into this gem of the north but taking a wrong turn and we came back two more times will we stayed in Manitowish Waters. Sunday buffet was amazing and the homemade old fashion sugar donuts were amazing. My husband tried the French toast on one of the mornings. Lucky the waitress advised him to hold at two, they were huge and delicious. Sorry I didn't take a picture. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Recommend stopping and seeing for yourself.“
“I cannot say enough good things about this incredible restaurant. I wish I could give more than five stars in all categories. Dinner started with an incredible seafood patae followed by the delicious soup and tableside salad cart. The main course was that nightly special of blackened Prime rib which was beautifully cooked and seasoned. While I don't like dessert our group had the Bananas Foster and everyone loved it! The only negative is we eventually had to leave which we eventually did completely stuffed and happy. I cannot wait to visit them again next year.“
“I had an egg type breakfast with hash browns and other ingredients mixed together with the eggs. Kinda dry and not heavy on flavor. Service was fast and very friendly.Very nice atmosphere and decor but it was snowmobile season and the place was empty except for us. The bar/pizza joint down the street was jam packed with about a 30 minute wait to get in. That's just something that made me wonder.“
“Weekday dining only. The White Oak Grill is part of the Chippewa Retreat Resort and weekends are used for special events like weddings. No reservations…we had no trouble getting seated on a Wednesday night in mid October. Nice menu. Good bar.“
“Awesome place to eat and always something going on at the Pea Patch. Good live music, a beautiful park across the street, great food! I have never stayed here as we stay in Mercer every year for vacation but they have been very generous in helping our yearly party of 14-18 people eat!Try the Reuben Soup. It was amazingNearby activities: A very nice park across the street with Music in the Park during the summer.Walkability: A great view of the dam is right outside the bar and hotelFood & drinks: AWESOME food and great drinks! “What a neat place to stop in for a drink and take in all of the history this place has to offer. Beautiful decorated to match the historic aura of the time and staffed with friendly and attentive individuals who seem to really like their jobs. Everyone we spoke to raved about the food and I can say that my old fashion was fantastic. We only had drinks this visit.. but will definitely return to try the food that everyone seemed to be truly enjoying.“
