“Last two times I have gone here I have had bad food. Fried chicken livers way over done, and beef shank was dry and tough, variable were under cooked to he point of being raw. And last time I went somehow my bill came out to $168. I had drinks and bought cocktails mix to go, but just seemed like too much after I thought about it. Not sure if I trust restaurant manger, seemed to be playing around with the bill.“
“Great pizzas, pastas and cocktails. The Agrigento (sausage & pep with garlic sauce base) is the best. Great service, knowledgeable staff, and comfortable atmosphere. Passion goes into what they do here and it shows. Definitely a must try if you are a fan of Italian food.“
“I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Edith. When you go to a place for cocktails, you usually expect the cocktails to be the star of the show and while I cannot express how delicious and thoughtfully crafted the cocktails were, Rhondi (the owner) was the real star. She has created such an inviting and beautiful space to share her passion. Edith is a rare gem. We will definitely be back!“
“There are many noteworthy Italian restaurants along the west coast of Lake Michigan, and this might be the best. Zak and Sarah have created an incredible place to dine in Milwaukee. The food is sublime, service attentive, and a wine list designed with purpose. If Michelin came to town, there are a few places that would get a nod. This is one.“
“Had an amazing dinner on March 22nd at Cavas! Chef Ana and her husband Peter made us feel as if we were in their kitchen at home, enjoying cultural dining and champagne over family stories. The food was out of this world! We ordered the Mixta Paella for two. It came with an appetizer of Entrada (Pepa's mushrooms). This did not disappoint; the mushrooms were fresh and in olive oil sauce with Manchego cheese served on artisan bread. Next was Mixta Paella...a combination of Valenciana and Mariscos paella (roasted chicken, slow cooked pork and chorizo, with a mix of clams, mussels, shrimp, and white vermouth). The Spanish rice was crispy with flavor for days, the seafood fresh, and the chicken and pork cooked to perfection. Just when we thought we couldn't eat anymore, Chef Ana brought dessert, mini-Spanish flan and mini-Spanish bread pudding. Miraculously we found more room, as the dessert tasted like heaven! During the meal we sipped on a bottle of Cava champagne (included in the paella for two price) and enjoyed every minute of it. It's been a while since we had a dining experience this special. Chef Ana and Peter make you feel like a part of their family, and you can taste the love in the food. Highly recommend Cavas for date night, big family dinners, or a night with friends you won't forget!“
“We had a birthday dinner party of 6 here this past weekend and it was amazing! I can’t say enough good things. Allison was our waitress and she treated us so well! Also Q was the wine connoisseur and was very helpful in deciding on wines to try. The food was amazing and I can’t say enough great things about this place. We will definitely be back!“
“Coffee shop with industrial flair & amazing vibe, particularly well-suited to coworking & remote work. There are plenty of power outlets built into the tables, as well as enclosed *pods* for when you need to have that quiet space for a call or a break. Friendly staff & inviting atmosphere. Oh yeah, and great coffee too! I’ll def be back!“
“1033 is more than a meal. It’s an experience! The menu is unlike anything we’d had before. From the fun appetizers, to the delicious desserts our tastebuds were excited the entire time. If you are yearning for something new, look no further!“
“The food is delicious. I’ve been here three times now. My favorite are the lamb chops. Service was great atmosphere was good a little more adequate for my taste. You don’t really feel comfortable having conversations because you tend to wanna be quiet in this kind of atmosphere which is not bad depending on what you’re going for And most importantly who you’re going with.It is a little pricey, but not too bad, considering how great the food is but the drinks are definitely overpriced and water down.“
“This was our second time here. It was a busy night, we were seated towards the back of the dining room, along with 2 other tables. One of the tables had two adults and several children. The entire time they were seated, they were on their phones, watching loud videos with the sounds very loud. Super distracting for us and the other table. In hindsight we should have said something to our server, Jasensia? I would have expected that the server and/or manager would be mindful of this type of client behavior and ask that they silence their phones. As much as we tried, we could not put it our of our minds. The food entrees were both good. Insalata Della Casa with chicken, and the Pesce al Pistachio (grouper). The service was very good. Friendly and attentive.Got a couple desserts. The Banana Semi-freddo was excellent. The Torta di Caprese was not very good. We were expecting a typical flourless cake that is dense/fudgelike. This was more like a gluten free cake. Pretty disappointing. Not sure if we are likely to return. So many other good restaurants with better ambiance.“
“The drinks were great. What I had to drink first was 'Greek in Wisconsin' which was really sweet, and my girlfriend had wine. Appetizers were saganaki and zucchini fritters. The fritters were good, saganaki is not the traditional saganaki. Dinner was good, just needed lemon for the Greek fries. The moussaka was really good! The service was great, very attentive but the ambiance is a bit loud and we were downstairs so it was kind of loud and we were right by the stairs. I didn't do my homework and request to be seated upstairs.“
“We used the Greige Patisserie for our November 2023 wedding in Oconomowoc, WI. They did our personal cutting cake and dessert bar. We mainly communicated with Miranda, who was very responsive, professional and helpful. The dessert tasting appointment was really fun to try out some of the more popular treats. They delivered and set-up all the desserts on wedding day and it looked perfect. The cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly like the inspo pictures we shared. The dessert bar was a hit and we had multiple guests talking about how good all the treats were all weekend. We had s’mores shooters, strawberry shortcake shooters, lemon bars, salted caramel tarts, snickerdoodle cookies and macarons. We would definitely recommend the Greige Patisserie to future couples. Thank you!!“
“My boyfriend and I have been to Bridgewater for brunch twice. Their crab cake benedict is phenomenal! The bloody’s are awesome too. We had exceptional service from our waitress, CeCe. She is so welcoming, friendly, and informative. We will be recommending her in our future visits at Bridgewater!“
“Service = *****Ambiance = *****Outdoor seating and view = *****Drink menu = *****This is a hidden gem in Wauwatosa/Milwaukee. Small place with a big atmosphere with the outdoor seating. In MKE we look for great spots like this to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. My date suggested this place and I've never been here. Nice selection of drinks and nice small menu for appetizers or small plates to share. We had the Capalatina and Olive salad. They have events monthly so join the mailing list. I will definitely be back to enjoy the company and sunset views off the front deck. Check it out and support!“
“I stopped into the Voyager for a couple of drinks on a balmy Monday night in March. With a modern, European vibe, Voyager was my kind of place. After a couple of vodka cocktails, I wanted to purchase a bottle of wine as I will do what I can to support local businesses. The patrons appeared to know each other, and they weren’t particularly kind to strangers. Of course, my age doesn’t encourage warmth from younger members of the human race. In this country, older people are scorned rather than revered. Maxwell was our bartender, and he was polite, attentive, but not very warm. Although, his warmth was awarded to others at the Voyager bar. I ended up buying a nice Chardonnay to take home. I tipped 20% on everything including the wine, but that didn’t appease Maxwell. I was a stranger in a strange land. However, I liked the Voyager, and I will return with expectations for a good drink and nothing more. The Voyager likes its locals to be between 25 and 38. Although I don’t fit the demographic, this is a cool place for Bay View and particularly K.K.“
“Corvina is a great little wine bar gem! The ambience is perfectly cozy and intimate, almost like you're hanging out in someone's house (in a good way haha). The best is coming on a warm summer night and sitting on their charming patio, with the string lights strung above and sipping on delectable wine. Or even during the winter and sitting in the warm, dimly lit interior and sitting by the window, catching up with friends. Now I am nowhere near being a wine expert, but I know the owners are sommeliers, so I trust the menu is comprised of delicious wines. I've never been disappointed. They also offer some small plates to snack on while you sip. & The staff is always willing to help you find the perfect wine.“
“It's my second time being here. We went in earlier than expected and they allowed us to adjust our reservations for 6. Service was good and so was our server. The drinks were decent (could be a tad better). Plenty of booze in them though! My custom pizza was excellent. Highly recommend. Clearly fresh ingredients. Definitely will go back.“
“Somehow I haven't been inside the original Zaffiro's in years. I love being able to get it at the movies, but I've been annoyed that I'm not in their delivery zone. Nothing has changed in the interior - possibly ever. This is a straight up old school Wisconsin tavern with a small dining room on the side. Service was very friendly. The place was packed with people waiting in line to be seated or to pick up to go orders. The pizza was predictably great - slightly charred cracker crust, plenty of toppings, good sauce proportion. We had three different types at the table and everyone was happy. Why four stars? Getting the food on our table took a really, really long time. Still a classic though.“
“Had such a great time at Vino Third Ward this weekend! Nicole was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with the wine selections. She also found a deck of cards for my girlfriends and I to play rummy while we enjoyed our wine. Honestly, one of the best experiences we had while in Milwaukee. Thanks Nicole!“
“We hosted a baby shower for 30 guests at the Ruby Tap and it was wonderful. Brooke was easy to work with to make the reservation, and the staff/service the day of the event was excellent and very accommodating. The venue is very pretty, and the setting was great for drinks and snacks, lunch, and gift opening. Everyone had a great time. I highly recommend this spot for this type of event.“
“The architecture on the first floor of this building is absolutely breathtaking, creating a very elegant and refined atmosphere. Once you ascend to the bar, you are greeted by a beautiful view of the city. The addition of live jazz playing throughout the night was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.I came here solely for drinks, so my rating is based solely on this aspect.“
“Ray's has become my staple liquor store in the area, having the best variety of all products, and being super knowledgable. However, I have been missing out on the growler gallery!I recently took my first class at their gallery for Manhattan Madness and was so impressed with Scott's knowledge of bitters and apertifs and the balance of the cocktails. They spiced it up giving us a traditional, dry, tequila based and a spin on the aperitif for this one!He was so engaging and fun that I didn't want the class to end. I cannot wait to attend more of their events going forward!“
“A bit of elegance without the snobby people. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable about the wines and menu. Romance for date night? This is the place. They will not let you down. A little gem ? with eloquence and charm. You can thank me later.“
“We love the Bay. We want it to continue to do well! I have to say the service is what brings me back all the time. The servers there are amazing. Food comes out hot and timely. Prices are reasonable. Pours are generous. And a lot of great outdoor seating which we enjoyed today. I have been eating vegan and they have 4 vegan items on their menu which is more than other restaurants in the area. I had the tofu peanut satay and it was very good!“
