“My husband and I can put for lunch today and the waitress was on point we came the night before for dinner and had a great waitress Even the manager was great he came over to us last night and the same manager was there today and said hi and made us feel like we were important the food was very good and the portions were just enough Thank you to a great lunch and dinner”

“Since moving from San Diego California to Charles Town in early 2000s I always missed the abundant access to local fresh Mexican food; near impossible to find the same un-Americanized style in the Jefferson County area. When I stumbled across Ortega’s and then finding out the Ortega family was from my old stomping grounds, I felt like I struck gold. Being a local boutique pepper grower I was able to share peppers with Ortega’s from Jalapeños to Chocolate Habaneros. I’m a burrito lover and will ask to change up the carne asada burrito by removing most of the rice and beans and adding more carne to closer match the Taco/Burrito shops in San Diego of straight carne. The also make one of my fav if you lucky enough to find packaged in the counter fridge “escabeche” Mexican Pickled Jalapeño and Carrots (Jalapeño y zanahorias en escabeche). Ortega’s to truly a gem of Charles Town so please stop in and give them a try, I wish the Ortega’s team many more years of success! ”

“Wow for starters my husband got loaded steak fries and where I’m from it’s steakums nooo this was actual steak on fries it was so good I ate some of his plus what I ordered I ordered the bbq pulled pork sandwich and fries it was so good . The lady was very friendly and the wait wasn’t long we definitely will be back .”

Matte, the owner, is awesome — genuinely friendly, down-to-earth, and clearly passionate about creating a place where everyone feels at home. You can tell he’s built something special here, and it shows in the vibe, the service, and the crowd it attracts.

If you’re anywhere near Charles Town, Longshots is an absolute must-visit. Great energy, great people, and a guaranteed good time every visit!”
