“Since moving from San Diego California to Charles Town in early 2000s I always missed the abundant access to local fresh Mexican food; near impossible to find the same un-Americanized style in the Jefferson County area. When I stumbled across Ortega’s and then finding out the Ortega family was from my old stomping grounds, I felt like I struck gold. Being a local boutique pepper grower I was able to share peppers with Ortega’s from Jalapeños to Chocolate Habaneros. I’m a burrito lover and will ask to change up the carne asada burrito by removing most of the rice and beans and adding more carne to closer match the Taco/Burrito shops in San Diego of straight carne. The also make one of my fav if you lucky enough to find packaged in the counter fridge “escabeche” Mexican Pickled Jalapeño and Carrots (Jalapeño y zanahorias en escabeche). Ortega’s to truly a gem of Charles Town so please stop in and give them a try, I wish the Ortega’s team many more years of success! “

“This Popeyes location is hands down the BEST one I’ve ever been to. One week I came here 3-4 times because it was just THAT good. My food always comes out piping hot. Moreover, it comes out pretty quick. I placed a mobile order, got in and got my drink, sat down, and my order was ready. The employees are very very friendly, polite and accommodating. I really enjoy the seating arrangements here. They have a couple of high bar stools with a table top, normal seats and tables, and they’re pretty comfortable.“

“Best food ever! I was in town two days and ate dinner there both nights! I had the Big Veg Burger one night and the Creamy Coco Ramen Bowl the 2nd night. Best dishes I ever ate! I am not a huge dessert person but HAD to have the oat milk ice cream both nights! I had chocolate one night and vanilla the 2nd night. Yummy! “Old 690 is definitely hard to find, but most definitely harder to leave! Great everything! Beer, food, friendly staff, ambiance, easy going atmosphere, you name it! “We enjoyed our lunch. The sweet potato fries were delicious. My burger was dry and overcooked, but had a good flavor. The chef's accommodating my gluten sensitivity was greatly appreciated. My grandson got the pizza and loved it! He was charmed by the cup that the hot chocolate was served in. He was also delighted by the surprise at the bottom of the mug, lol! Will definitely return.“

“We visited because they were part of the Loudoun Heights Holiday Ornament Trail * stop 5 for us! Saturday they were also hosting The Charles Washington Symphony so they were VERY busy! The Symphony required reservations, which we did not have, though we were lucky to get 2 seats by a barrel table.
Staff at the front counter were friendly. Wines were nice. I liked the way the flight was served!
Tasting room is pretty large and there is a lot of outdoor space as well.
We hope to stop back again

“Visited this winery with some friends the other week. Wine flightes were pre selected but you can still get a taste of any wine and beer!

Our bartender Arman was very friendly and helped guide us on the best wines to pair with our food. He also gave us a great breakdown on all the beers on draught and gave us amazing food recs (get the carpenters flatbread)!

Views are amazing, bar staff are friendly, and the atmosphere was very cozy. Will be coming back!!“

“I tried messaging them private but they never answered because I don't think one bad employee defines your whole bakery. My girlfriend and I visited your bakery last weekend. The manager on duty seemed a little agitated with a prior customer and had an attitde while we were ordering. She checked us out and then put our food in the microwave to warm up as we requested. She went to the back while we waited. We were standing there for about 5 minutes and when she came back to the front, she was holding a dirty plunger in her hand and grabbed our food out of the microwave. We were disgusted and ended up throwing our food away. We did not want to make a big deal and have other customers upset. I thought it was a good idea to let you know what was happening in your bakery.“
