“We had a fantastic dinner tonight at the Ish Kitchen! My husband had the noodle bowl with shrimp; I had the chicken quesadilla. We topped off the evening with the chocolate cake (him) and the Gâteau Breton (me). The food was delicious, and our server was top notch. We’ll definitely be back!”

The only negative was the staff were really (REALLY) miserable - like, both looked like they would rather have been anywhere else - and really disinterested in engaging with the customers, which is disappointing for what should have been such a cool spot. “On this dreary day I was met with an amazing smile from Emily, your server. I had the breakfast bowl with an everything bagel, with a side of homemade sausage gravy and it was amazing. The eggs were perfect and the sausage good and meaty. Definitely a 5 star visit”

“Laid back, friendly, and very affordable restaurant. 4th visit there and the food is always exceptional, and the service is great. I was never a fan of pepperoni rolls until I had theirs ... they made a believer out of me! The pulled pork sandwich was excellent, and the chicken pot pie (from a previous visit) was" just like Mom used to make!" Like many places in Davis, parking is a challenge. Do not be deterred by a full lot; they still probably have tables available, as they can seat a good many. You can park on the side street behind the restaurant.”

“Our family of two adults and two pre-teens really enjoyed our time. Timberline is well run and well maintained. The food is blah but met expectations. Definitely helps to have perfect weather and conditions! Shout out to our ski instructor Taylor who helped us get going on the first day! Upper Salamander was a crowd pleaser!”

“We stopped at Little Caesars on the way back to our campsite after hiking Blackwater falls, and it really hit the spot! Service was quick and friendly, and everything was hot and fresh. We tried the pepperoni cheese breadsticks, buffalo wings, and crazy bread — all delicious. The crust was perfectly crisp, and they gave us plenty of sauces to go with it. Great value, tasty food, and exactly what we needed after a long day outdoors. Definitely recommend!”

“Our server was a young lady. We had breakfast on Christmas day. Everyone was accommodating and smiley, and the food was amazing. The view is excellent and, while pricey, the buffet food was perfect. Family of 6 ate for around $100.”

“We came here because they weren't ready to seat people for the 4 pm Thanksgiving seating. Nice lounge and the ladies working were quite pleasant and accommodating. Small but decent bourbon offerings. If I remember correctly their top shelf was Whistle Pig. Had a small tap selection of local craft offerings. Multiple TVs. Great views and we saw multiple deer from the picturesque windows.”

“My wife and I were in the area for the fireworks show over the weekend and were just walking around the town to kill some time and found ourselves stopping in to the tap house. The bartender greeted us like we have known each other for a long time and make quality beer recommends. Great atmosphere and a cool spot to hangout when you are in the area! Highly recommend!”

“Excellent pizza and beer. Bar area was nice, and priced reasonably. The room we ate in was nice with a few tables and a window into the kitchen. The IPA I had was perfect on a cold day with a meatball sub. I would also recommend fire on the mountain pizza.”
