“This place is a hidden gem in Pleasant Grove. 15-20 minutes from Birmingham and with the drive. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is very fresh and delicious, you can tell there's a lot of love put into it. There are American choices for the less adventurous eaters and children's menu, also vegetarian options! My personal favorites are the falafel plate, Greek salad, tahini sauce, hummus and baklava. All homemade! Go try it, you won't be disappointed!“

“This was our first visit to Jubilee Joe's, but it won't be our last. The food we ordered was amazing. The Etouffè was the best I have ever eaten, wonderful flavor and a nice kick of heat. We enjoyed it so much, we got some to go. The Seafood Gumbo was top notch. Again amazing flavor. The service was fantastic, as well. Friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.“

“I’ve dined in and drove through, both have excellent, lightning fast service and the food is incredible.

Had a couple hiccups with quart sized takeout, but mentioned it to someone the next time I was there, and they called the general manager over and he made it right, and asked me to let him know right away if anything ever tastes off so he can check the rest of the batch. He also educated me about butter beans, apparently they get a little bitter during part of the season, which actually tells me it’s fresh!“

“We were in Ross Bridge for the farmers market and decided to try Front Porch while we were there.

We were seated immediately and met by our server at our table of choice on the patio.

We chose to start with the bacon bombs and cheese curds. This was an excellent choice!! Bacon wrapped kielbasa in a candied BBQ style sauce! Sign me up for seconds!

The cheese curds were great as well! Deep fried and melted to perfection!! Even better when you dip them in the bacon bomb sauce.

My wife got the chicken finger platter and I grabbed the chicken lettuce wraps.

Chicken fingers were hand breaded and fried crisp. She asked for extra bacon bomb sauce to dip them in. Sweet potato fries were crispy with a honey sauce.

Chicken lettuce wraps had an excellent taste but were a little dry. Made from breast meat, just seemed a little over cooked.

Service was excellent, patio was nice and airy with a view of the street and area. Restaurant was clean and quiet.

Would stop by again when we are in the area!“

“Michael hooked my mom and I up. We started with the grape leaves, which were warm and had fresh spices. I had the shrimp kabob, it was seasoned well - not overly done. Their vinaigrette is savory and sweet. The food came out quickly - will be returning.“

Customer service brings me back even when they are not on point.. and they usually are.

The veggies are always good and seasoned just right (vegetarian options will be hard to find). The baked chicken and ox tails never disappoint.

The interior is pleasant and warm, and if we hadn’t been on the road I could see having a lovely book club meeting or a quick lunch for 2 here. Great ambiance, great service. Also such a unique and local food option vs rushing through a fast food drive-thru. We have family in the area and will absolutely be returning!“

“The service here is amazing! I recently ordered the chicken hibachi with extra veggies and yum yum sauce to go. I didn’t check the food before I left and when I got home they gave me extra noodles instead of veggies. I messaged them on Facebook to let them know of the mistake and they offered to remake my order for free at my convenience! I went and picked up the remade order a week later and they even gave me the extra yum yum sauce and apologized again when I picked up the food. Great customer service and the food is amazing 🤤 Will definitely be back with family and friends!“

“If anyone ever worked for their money, the Hontzas family sure has. First of all, they’re usually very busy but they sure know how to keep the line moving and get everyone seated promptly. In the food line there’s something for everyone. This is one of the few places where I could get all vegetables. The neighborhood is a bit rough but don’t let that discourage you from going bc people from all sides of town eat here.“

“My family and I moved to Gulf Shores from Birmingham in 2016. When we come back north for anything we have to stop at two places...Milos and Chop Suey Inn. Well, three...my parents! The egg rolls are without a doubt the best egg rolls that you will ever eat! Fresh, hot, crispy...perfection! Follow that by an apple pie from Milo's and I am all set for the drive home!!! Of course, we bring egg rolls home with us as well as burgers from Milos (and a bottle of sauce). If they shipped, I would definitely keep their egg rolls stocked at my house! I would have to hide them from my 3 children. :-)“
