“Best brunch I’ve had in years (& I brunch often). The restaurant is in a cool area, had a great atmosphere with a fun attentive staff, and most importantly delicious food. We had the bottomless tapas brunch with complementary mimosas. We enjoyed the variety of tapas options and nothing disappointed. My delightfully full stomach forced me to stop, but some standouts were the Lox, Fried Green Tomatoes, Steak & Gouda Biscuits, French Toast, Jalapeño Bacon, and exquisite Beignets. “Been wanting to try this for a long time. I can critically(costructively) say that some portions were too small for the one-time cafeteria type service. But the staff and atmosphere were comfy. Nothing fancy. The food was seasoned well. Not surprised when seeing the seasoned cooks! lol! No long wait to be served when we arrived right about 11:25 a.m. Parking is tight and crowded. Getting your food to go and drive-through are great options. I will return.“

“I am new to the area and saw this place today. They had slices of pound cake and mini pies. They might have had other items too but I only noticed these, they captured my attention right away. I purchased a mini sweet potato pie, key lime, and a pecan. I also purchased a slice of lemon pound cake. My 12 year old announced she didn’t like pound cake or pie… A couple of hours later I tried the sweet potato pie. The 12 year old asked for a taste and begged to have the rest. Tonight we equally ate the lemon pound cake. Both superb. We haven’t tried the other 2 minis yet, but have no doubt they will be equally delicious. This place had the most delicious sweet potato pie and even better than my own (really good) lemon pound cake. Prices are reasonable and they have fantastic employees.“

“My first time at The Club! I was there for a scholarship dinner and thoroughly impressed. I asked about joining and was told that you had to be recommended. This is definitely a shortcoming for the club as I do not know many people in Alabama. This rule needs to be changed.“

“Nice restaurant. You will spend about $12-13 for a plate and drink. I got the braised pork plate with the hot cheddar pasta, bread, and broccoli salad. The pasta was really good and cheesy. The servers were very friendly. It's by the federal reserve. It's cool because the bathroom entrance was the old vault. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The wait time for the food wasn't long at all; they got our food out within minutes.“

“I've never done this before, but I'm not even going to mention the food in this survey, nothing wrong with it, it just doesnt hold a candle to the service we received! We ate there tonight and had Maddy D as our server and she was unlike any server I've ever had. I mean she was holding multiple trays and plates effortlessly while navigating the handheld scanner, while cracking jokes and making the whole table feel invited and welcomed. I have truly never seen someone so great at what they're doing, working their butt off but not at all letting you know how hard they're working. I would say she's the type of server everyone should strive to be like, but I dont think that level is achievable. If you are a business owner and want the most capable employee, come to soho social and ask for Maddy d. FIND ANY position in your company for her and she will nail it, she's that kind of person.“

She has pork chop sandwiches, bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits and sandwiches, waffles, orange juice, coffee, and foundation sodas. The place is nice and airy. “OMGOSH!!!! I ate at Steel City last night (12/21/22) as I am staying on property at the HI. We had a party of six. EVERY ORDER WAS SUPERB!! I had the grilled pork chops, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes! Delicious!!! The pork chops - yes two came on my order - were grilled to perfection! They were great cuts and TENDER! The mac and cheese and the potatoes were both homemade and delightfully seasoned! I almost asked the waiter if the cook was married! I want to carry him home with me!? Two adults in our party had Philly steak and cheese; two children had flatbread pizza - one cheese and one pepperoni - and our 15 year old had a burger with mushrooms EACH PERSON RAVED OVER THEIR MEAL. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT AND NICE PORTIONS!!! We are good cooks and we know good food!!!! Do not think twice - eat at Steel City!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!! PS We are eating there again today before our flight to Florida?“

“On Saturday, April 5, 2025, I had my retirement dinner at Culinary Dropout. There were twenty people in my party. Our server Natalie was a "little dynamo". Even the restaurant was crowded due prom season, she got all drink orders promptly. The starters orders arrived soon after. Then the entrees. She was there for drink refills and other requests. She handled the situation with grace, kindness and professionalism. Her and the other wait staff were truly exceptional. The bartenders got drink orders promptly and made to protection. They made my 25 year retirement celebration truly awesome! I will definitely book any future events with this amazing restaurant. Kudos!!!!“

“Popped in breakfast at the Harvest, which is located in a hotel. Only one server who was trying to manage 15 tables and doing the best she could, all while maintaining a smile and managing to check on me enough. Got the redmont special with scrambled eggs which were okay, some kind of Alabama sausage which was really good, the seasoned potatoes which were delicious and I just wished I had more of the larger pieces, and the cheese grits which were okay. Overall I liked the breakfast and the area.“

“When I go to Topgolf, I typically have a great time but last night I was disgusted me and two friends went there to eat and have a good time we went into the restaurant. We waited an hour before anyone even spoke to us then when we stopped a few of the workers one guy with dreads that was working the bar with a red shirt on, he was rude. When I asked did he work there and when I asked him to get us a server he ignored me after several attempts to get an employee to come, Services us savanna a server came to the table after 45 minutes of trying her best to ignore us and several other customers and asked the drink orders but at this point we’re ordering food as well long story short we spent we came in at 9 didn’t leave the restaurant part until 1130 and missed our spot at the golf course. When we asked for the check that took 45 minutes even though it was almost empty in the place. It seem like no manager cared or just wasn’t present the place was being ran by kids and it was horrible.“
