“Cafe Dupont offers up a delectable dining experience. Our group had the charcuterie to start with a delicious selection of meats, olives and the foie gras was delicious would have been happy for a little more of that on the board. For entrees we had the duck, rabbit and snapper; all excellent! Cocktails and wine selections are good. Highly recommend!“

“Great breakfast buffet that was very expensive but convenient if you are staying in the hotel. Everything was fresh and they had someone at a station making omelets and would bring it to your table if you didn’t want to wait for them to prepare it. Overall the breakfast buffet was good.

The staff was very friendly. We even came here at the end of our day for desert and enjoyed the restaurant that had a modern look and was quiet and relaxing.“

“More than just great food…….the service from Leigh was just awesome. In the five days we spent in Birmingham, we ate at Village Tavern four times………always asking for Leigh. There are just so many wonderful things on the menu……Leigh always points us in the right direction…….and giving us some great options. Anne loves so many of the fish dishes……..the halibut fixed different ways, and every time it’s fabulous. The prime rib…….was so tender…..probably the best I’ve ever had. The Delmonico steak was just beyond perfect. When we entertain guests, this is our go to place. Special thanks to Leigh…..and all the very hard working people in the kitchen. “Treated my mother on her 93rd birthday along with my wife. This is our 4th visit and the food was great/ perfect. Cheers for the kitchen staff as they deliver well prepared and presented food. We had scallops, crab cake ,sea bass, and shrimp skewers.“

“Great lunch spot in downtown Birmingham.

I what’s getting my haircut and had some time to grab a quick lunch. This was the perfect spot.

I had the brick & tin chicken sandwich. IT WAS SO GOOD. It had their homemade pickles and homemade honey mustard on a delicious flat bread. Wow.

Another star on the menu is the pea salad. It is a cold salad of different peas, tomatoes, and cucumbers. So good. I wanted more.

I can’t wait ti go back when I have more time to enjoy other times.“

“I am new to the area and saw this place today. They had slices of pound cake and mini pies. They might have had other items too but I only noticed these, they captured my attention right away. I purchased a mini sweet potato pie, key lime, and a pecan. I also purchased a slice of lemon pound cake. My 12 year old announced she didn’t like pound cake or pie… A couple of hours later I tried the sweet potato pie. The 12 year old asked for a taste and begged to have the rest. Tonight we equally ate the lemon pound cake. Both superb. We haven’t tried the other 2 minis yet, but have no doubt they will be equally delicious. This place had the most delicious sweet potato pie and even better than my own (really good) lemon pound cake. Prices are reasonable and they have fantastic employees.“

“Nice restaurant. You will spend about $12-13 for a plate and drink. I got the braised pork plate with the hot cheddar pasta, bread, and broccoli salad. The pasta was really good and cheesy. The servers were very friendly. It's by the federal reserve. It's cool because the bathroom entrance was the old vault. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The wait time for the food wasn't long at all; they got our food out within minutes.“

The extra large windows allow the natural light to brighten up the restaurant. A small to large crowd can be accommodated. Stop by one morning for a treat. I am a regular now and so is my son. ?“

“OMGOSH!!!! I ate at Steel City last night (12/21/22) as I am staying on property at the HI. We had a party of six. EVERY ORDER WAS SUPERB!! I had the grilled pork chops, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes! Delicious!!! The pork chops - yes two came on my order - were grilled to perfection! They were great cuts and TENDER! The mac and cheese and the potatoes were both homemade and delightfully seasoned! I almost asked the waiter if the cook was married! I want to carry him home with me!? Two adults in our party had Philly steak and cheese; two children had flatbread pizza - one cheese and one pepperoni - and our 15 year old had a burger with mushrooms EACH PERSON RAVED OVER THEIR MEAL. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT AND NICE PORTIONS!!! We are good cooks and we know good food!!!! Do not think twice - eat at Steel City!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!! PS We are eating there again today before our flight to Florida?“

“We just had a late lunch here as a family. The service is spectacular. So attentive, kind and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely spectacular. We tried so many new things. Whipped feta, the pizza, fried chicken, popcorn shrimp, and smokehouse house. Oh and the monkey bread. Every dish superb! I can’t say enough good things about this lunch today! Shout out to our server, Byron, and the manager Peyton. Great first impression!“

“Impeccable!! Perry’s treated you like you are their guest in their own home!! From valet parking, the hostess’s, service and the food!! I would like to acknowledge Kari Hahn, Events Coordinator, who took care of all the details to make the experience very smooth! Our server, Cayden, was outstanding! He treated us like his own family. We never had to ask for anything. The Koji-Aged steak was so tender, cut it with a fork! A++++++“

“We just had dinner at the Harvent tonight, July 7, 2024. We had a very enjoyable experience! This was 2 couples. My husband had the braised short ribs. I had the salmon- well done. We gave each other a few samples and both meals were great! Our friends had salmon and a ribeye. They said both were great too. We had a good waitress (Emily) that was attentive and well informed. She made the meal relaxing and pleasant. I was a bit nervous after reading a few reviews online but we had zero complaints. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I mentioned the reviews to the waitress after our meal was done and we had complimented them. She said they had made changes to the chef and menu and were working hard to regain better ratings. We even had her send out the chef so we could complement him. So often people only post complaints. But they earned a 5 star rating from us tonight. If we lived in the area we would be back. We were here for a convention and live several states away. I recommend to give them a chance to wow you as well.“

“Food was good. Not exceptional but I'd eat it again. Prices are what you would expect from a "cajun food truck" high for the convenience. Several of us ordered together. I picked the shrimp and sausage cheese fries. It was good. Fries were little dry. But eaten with toppings were fine. I enjoyed it. A friend ordered the chicken Alfredo it was okay.
Another friend ordered the Bayou burger. It looked and smelled great but they said their fries were not good.
Okay for a food truck.“
