“I am not sure of the origin of the name but this restaurant is definitely the real deal. My wife and I had a delightful experience here. “There's no denying that this is the "class act" dining destination of Mobile, from the beautiful view 34 stories high to the pianist playing light jazz during our Sunday brunch, no doubt they have alot to offer. Which is why I was so very disappointed to have the waitress reach over me to retrieve the bread basket as I was eating! Literally her armpit was at my nose while I was putting a bite of food into my mouth. So when I asked her if you must she replied in a sparky tone "yes I must" and did it a second time. I had expected them to have had better training than that. Otherwise our experience was perfectly delightful. The food was okay yet a good value for the price, with some creative combinations we enjoyed. When we do go back we'll avoid that light brown haired waitress and hope the others are properly trained and she was just learning.“
“This was one of the few places open early afternoon around 4pm, which was one of the only times my wife and I were available to have a date meal. This met all expectations, it was not busy (at that time we had the place to ourselves), food was delicious. I listened to the recommendations from the waitress and was not disappointed. We had the biscuit service, marinated crab claws, pulled duck and grits, wine. Highly recommend. Location is odd, seems to be just another house in a neighborhood, parking is available in a little lot nearby.Parking: Small parking lot around the back and side just a small bit down the block.“

“What a wonderful little café! Casual atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff, and amazing food! I had the shrimp wrap and baked potato salad; both were delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, not overcooked like so many restaurants we've been to. My husband had the Mahalo burger which is a teriyaki glazed burger with pineapple, bacon, Swiss cheese and a special sauce. He said it was the BEST specialty burger he has ever had! (And believe me, he's had a LOT of specialty burgers ?) The burger also came with a generous portion of crispy, tasty sweet potato fries...Yumm!!“
“My wife and I were looking for great sushi and we found it! It was so fresh and delicious. The specialty rolls were unique and tasty. It's some of the best sushi we ever had. The cocktails were great also. Ashley, our waitress, was delightful! She gave us great service and shared the secret sushi menu with us and then gave us great recommendations. “I went to the West Mobile location, and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered, the oyster plate, which consisted of 16 cooked oysters with various flavors. They were delicious, and I can't believe I only paid $28 for this many oysters. Bread was provided before the meal, and the service was very timely. I will definitely return.“
“Best meal our we've had in ages. The raw oysters were fresh delicious, and my steamed peel & eat shrimp were the best I've ever had at a restaurant. So often they are overcooked but these were perfect, succulent, seasoned just right. My husband's Ceasars salad with redfish was good and the cup of gumbo was superb. Waitstaff were courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and 2 managers stopped by separately to check on us. This Is our new go-to when anywhere near Mobile.“

Hands down the best hummus and gyro meat that I've ever had, and the pita was fresh and so soft! “When we went in it took us a while to be seated, but when they did they lead us through the whole place and sat my party of 8 and a baby in what looked like a secluded meeting room. The walls weren't really complete and there were a few pipes on the wall. The food was pretty good, I got a friggin PECAN CHICKEN BREAST like what?!? That was good, but not 5 stars. The only reason I put service at 5 ⭐ is because when the guy brought our dessert, which was bread pudding, he asked where to put it and I said jokingly "right here!" as a motioned in front of me. This is fine for a quick lunch. The service at the counter was friendly and helpful A++. The food was very reasonable, I ordered grilled fish and shrimp which came with 2 sides for about $10. “This place is jam-packed during lunch with a line outside of the door. I didn't order off of the hot bar. I have a phobia of things sitting out even if it's inclosed. I ordered a seafood plate. It didn't take as long as I thought that it would consider the number of people. I kinda skipped the line after waiting a bit. Suggestion There are 2 women working the front. One fixing plates off the hot bar and the other ringing up the customer. Some people are undecided or getting more than o e plate fixed. They should have 2 lines, and if the person on the register was taking orders and payments to people having orders placed, then it would cut down on as much waiting.The food was good and the staff could smile and be more inviting. ?“
“Soooo good!!! I have been here twice now, and I'm addicted. They have specials every day, but I'm in love with the baked chicken. It is too good. It's seasoned perfectly and so juicy. The smothered porkchops and the chopped steak are also good. The greens, the green beans, the mashed potatoes, cabbage, and rice are all to die for. And the lemonade is too good!!! “So we were in town for a show at the civic center. We originally were going to eat at Loda across the street. But that place was a **** show. So we walked across to TPs. We were immediately greeted by one of the waitresses, told we would be seated shortly. Very shortly was seated with Courtney. She was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We asked for drinks and they were perfect. It was about 5 o’clock and not so busy, but out of no where(assuming from the show) it got super busy. The owner was an elderly gentleman that reminded me of my pops and came to greet us. Super awesome to see him helping the wait staff too which is super uncommon. Food was really good. We ordered a Philly and jambalaya pasta with queso and chips. Soooo goood!!! The drinks were delicious. I am only writing this review because of two things. 1. The wait staff and restaurant handled getting busy like an absolute pro!!! 2. Because we were originally going to Lodas across the street because I read the reviews and was like they seem like that got something going on over there. Boy was I glad we gave this place a shot. 11/10“

“The food is so delicious I always forget to take pictures. The service is always great as well as friendly. We always do carryout but anytime I go inside and wait on order the atmosphere is friendly. I love the wings and their vegetable and shrimp fried rice is amazing. The next time I will take pictures. I usually order from here when guests want wings and fried rice.“
