“First time trying Esco's. Sunday brunch before a show. Brunch places are normally quiet and subdued. The music was a little too loud making it slightly difficult to hear others. Gave a nightclub vibe. Not bad, just not my usual scene. BUT...the food was fantastic! We ordered the calamari...delicious and perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the wings and fries. Great flavor on the fries and the wings were cooked to perfection. I ordered the salmon croquettes with breakfast potatoes and overrmedium eggs. Fantastic!!! The croquettes actually had real salmon in them (novel idea) and were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The potatoes were excellent. The eggs were exactly how I liked them...runny yolk and well done white. SO GOOD! Lastly, our server JT was polite and attentive throughout our meal and the drinks (mimosas) he prepared for us were lovely!!!“

“If you want to have a fine dining experience, but without the intimidating atmosphere then this is the place to go. My wife and I were greeted warmly by the staff and our waitress explained the menu very well. My wife started with the corn soup and had scallops for the entree and I had the beef tar tar and the aged new York strip. The soup was great and the bites of lobster was lovely. The beef tar tar was rich but it came with baby endive that was dressed with lemon that balanced the whole dish. The scallops were great and they were very accommodating to cook the scallops a bit more for my wife due to pregnancy. The steak had an amazing peppercorn crust that was amazing but maybe a tad bit over salted for me. We ended the night with the carrot cake which ended our experience on a high note. Overall we will definitely come again and try the other amazing dishes they have to offer!“

“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

“I don't normally do such a review for fine dining but my wife and I attended a special event where Duckhorn Wines and Chef Gentry at the Lobbyist put on a very unique feast. I'm not a wine expert by any means but the Duckhorn wines selected fit the menu perfectly with a 4 course meal that included octopus and fresh cabbage to start, and perfectly prepared beef cheek for the main. The Lobbyist source their food supplies from local farms which it shows both in appearance and taste. The event was sponsored by Buster's Liquor, an icon in Memphis for the selection and price. The seating was an open table making it a fun evening where we met and made new friends. Check them out for a special date with your better half.“

“I always enjoy the terrace they have a beautiful view of the river, wonderful tapas/ sharable plates, and also amazing drinks. My husband and I love date night here. I have tried most of the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Worth a visit whenever downtown. If you are lucky you will get Niki as a bartenders she is great!

I come from restaurants in the Napa Valley of California – and I really enjoy good food. “A small establishment that I found out through word of mouth The food was really good. The cashier wasn't the friendly-ist person I ever had an encounter with. However, she was very well mannered. The wings had the right crunch and seasoned well. The carrots were seasoned to perfection, and the roll was even fresh. Fries and fried okra were good as well.“

“I’ve been wanting to try Loflin Yard for over a year after hearing so many rave reviews, and it did not disappoint! We stopped by with the family, and the atmosphere was perfect for a laid-back afternoon. The chicken wings were a hit with everyone, perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the grilled chicken sandwich was just as delicious. I personally loved the frozen Paloma—it was the perfect refreshing drink to enjoy while taking in the weekend and outdoor vibes (from inside in the AC). The service was friendly and quick, and we can’t wait to come back for another round. Highly recommend!“

“Today we got the basic burger and hot dog. Inexpensive menu items. The hamburger was very basic but ok. Nathan’s hot dog was good. The sides were really surprisingly good. Might even say better than expected. Next trip will try the chicken wings.
