“If you're in Phoenix, you've got to hit up Vayal’s Indian Kitchen.
The biryani is legit—fluffy, fragrant rice and meat that actually melts in your mouth. Their curries are just as good, with a rich, authentic Chettinad spice that hits perfectly. It’s the kind of food that feels like a home-cooked meal.
The service is super friendly, and the whole vibe is just easy and welcoming.“

“I have never had Indian food before so this was very new to me. I ordered the tikka wrap and my husband had the southern curry with shrimp and two garlic naans. Very satisfied with the taste! The cashier was also very sweet :)“

“Everything was delicious and portions are big enough to share. Their mint chutney is my favorite of anywhere. Tonight, I’m tried their rice pilau, a wonderful combination of basmati rice, peas, caramelized onions and yummy cashews. Perfect dish for a hot day, especially with some raita.“

“Tabla is a clean, friendly restaurant that recently opened in north Phoenix. I just discovered it today! The food is so delicious! I started with veggie samosas. They were flaky with potato and pea filling and mint and tamarind sauces. Then a huge portion of excellent chicken biryani. And an Indian cola! 5 stars for service, atmosphere and food!“

“Highly recommend this place! Ive so far had Vegetable Biriyani, Malai Kofta, Paneer, Samosa and Naan bread. Everything is so flavorful and prepared perfectly. I believe its family owned and that might be the reason for the attention to detail. Everyone was warm and friendly. If you like traditional north Indian food give them a try.“

“We had Mysore Masala Dosa, Fish Nirvana (pompano), Vararthu Aracha Chicken, Paneer Tikka Fries, chili garlic naan, and Masala tea. The flavors were intensely delicious with the perfect amount of spicy that enhanced the taste. I recommend 100%! You could pick a dish at random from the menu and you would not be disappointed.“

“It was good food, a pub vibe, with locals. The drinks were reg bar prices, but I had a $20 plate that should have been bigger or a $12-15 plate, but given the diversity of the menu, I’ll still pay.“

“Placed an order online for their special at 11 am. They had ample time to call me and tell me they couldn't complete my order. Instead, I drove 20 minutes out of my way to pick it up just for them to tell me they won't be doing my order. They also couldn't tell me how to get refunded. Horrible customer service.“

“What’s unique about this Indian restaurant is: 1. They have Satvik options (no onion and no garlic); 2. VEGAN options are clearly labeled and there are a lot of them (yay!) 3. The menu is All vegetarian and is HUGE so you don’t have to worry about cross contamination if you are vegan or vegetarian. I enjoyed the dosas. They were large and crispy and the coconut chutney was delicious. Customer service staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant is Very casual. The only thing I didn’t like is, they use paper plates and plastic utensils when you dine in and styrofoam containers for takeout so this isn’t very environmentally conscious. The food was really good and I would definitely return as there are so many things to try.“
