“Visiting Buck & Rider Camelback on National Oyster Day has become an annual tradition for my friends and I. Mike Murphy, the Executive General Manager, and his team, do a phenomenal job, especially given the onslaught of customers during this annual celebration. The fresh pull-apart dinner rolls, crispy Brussels sprouts, dungeness crab wedge and Caesar salad were fantastic. But the star of the show where the amazing Rochambeau oysters. Being a native New Yorker, I love East Coast cold water oysters, and these were absolutely perfect, mildly salty and briny upfront, with a sweet and crisp finish. Great job guys. Can’t wait to come back there again!“

“We came here on a Friday night, the food was excellent my husband loved the fried fish, I loved their fresh guacamole, and shrimp tacos. Excellent place, very clean. I highly recommend their food really is high quality, our waitress Dinora gave us great service!!!

“I used to work right down the road in the 90s and was always glad to call this one of my favorite haunts. Returning to AZ after all these years and eating here again I was both pleasantly surprised and disappointed; the fish was every bit as delicious as I remembered with the portions being quite a bit larger than I recalled, the condiments, however were a huge let down with neither the malt vinegar, tartar nor cocktail sauces anywhere near the quality they used to be. Bottom line, great fish, shrimp and chips, but rather nasty condiments.“

“Been here 3x and Everytime I forget to take a picture because Im too busy shoving it down my mouth. Breaded Shrimp is ? Oysters Preparados is ? Seafood soup is ? Refried beans are ? I'm looking forward to going back and trying even more dishes! Service is always top tier. If you have kids they will be obsessed with looking at all the decor and paintings inside.

“My husband and I booked a reservation here for our 20th wedding anniversary dinner and our occasion was noted at time of booking. Upon arriving, we were seated in a cozy booth, the ambience was conducive to conversation and perfect for a date night or other special occasion. Our server offered a complimentary celebratory toast. We ordered the lamb and ahi tuna small plates, both of which were fantastic. We both particularly enjoyed the lamb - it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. For the main course, I ordered the scallops and my husband ordered the rainbow trout. The seafood was cooked to perfection, the broccolini deliciously buttery, and the risotto (mine) and potatoes (his) were tasty. The restaurant also treated us to an anniversary dessert, and we were able to choose from their flight of shot-glass desserts. I opted for the inside-out cannoli and my husband ordered the s'mores. His was too rich and chocolately for my taste, but that meant it was perfectly suited for him! I enjoyed the combination of cannoli filling and raspberry sauce, and the cannoli shell was crisp and flaky. To close off our special evening, our server presented us with a hand-written card and a gift card for a free starter or flatbread on our next visit. The entire experience was 5 stars! “I decided to try this restraunt out, being that it was only a few blocks from my airbnb. I visited on a Tuesday at about 6 pm.

When entering the place, it looked like an old, small banquet hall that wasn't completely finished. The tables were the long folding tables with a plastic table cloth over the top. There was only 1 other customer there at the time.

I ordered the 3$ tacos (carne asada). It took about 5 minutes for the tacos to arrive. They came with a variety of hot sauces to try, all of which were delicious. The plate of tacos also came with cucumbers and limes.

The tacos were really good, definitely worth ordering again, especially being so close to home. The guy who took my order was very friendly. Like I said before, though, the atmosphere is really poor. This place could really use a remodeling. I think I'll stick to ordering take out.“
