50 Best Pizza Restaurants in Tucson

“Great Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza on sourdough crust, available sourdough loaves, interesting vegetable and salad dishes, wine, and dessert including one using Monsoon chocolate (a local Tucson chocolatier). Sonoran Restaurant Week is usually a standout time to visit. I only wish the standard menu served a few more varieties of pizza. I would visit more often.

Don't expect to have a private diving experience, though. You'll share long bench tables with other groups or couples. Get to know your neighbor or pretend you didn't overhear them.

Cost is highly variable. Pizza alone was under $20 the last time I visited, but you miss out on a lot if you skip the other offerings.

The real gripe around ANELLO is literally the changing area around it. The gentrification of the area has brought in an unlimited supply of parking meters and standardized commercial enterprises. Still, the food inside Is worth trekking past the increasing blandness outside.

Speaking of outside, the pure white building across the street from ANELLO reflects the sun something terrible depending on when you dine.“

“I've been, a customer of Barro's for a few years now. And this Cortaro location is amazing the service is good and friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant and the location, is great right next to the movie theater now.

The food is good and I recommend this to all my family and friends as a family friendly location. And thankfully a large Ploice presence from our boys in blue, the Marana Police Department, you'll see uniforms for lunch breaks all the time.

“As a new customer,, I really liked this pizza! I just finished the last bite of my one three-cheese slice, and it was quite satisfying, I must say. I love a chewy, cheese-crisped crust, and this was very much that both texturally and flavor-wise. It's always nice to actually have plenty of cheese on a pizza, especially a cheese pizza! The flavor was very good, with a sweeter sauce that honestly, I will ask for more of next time as it didn't seem like enough for my taste buds. The square was quite filling as the bread is thick, and though I was hungry, it was exactly enough for me, so don't let the smallish size fool you. The staff was really friendly and helpful, which is half of the food experience for me. I don't go back to places that can't smile and be glad that I'm there, especially as I'm always the friendly, happy customer. Folks are dissing the prices, which I understand as Tucson is a place that generally has a lower cost 9f living, and yes, you can get pizza for a bit less, but if you like a deep dish, very flavorful, tasty Detroit-inspired pizza, this will be worth a few more bucks. An 8x10" pizza is four rectangles, and if you're used to only round, it looks small, granted, but it's THICK, so it's really a lot and you get filled up! I didn't order anything else, but will go back to try a salad next. I love that it's also attached to Craft Brewery, as that's always been a favorite place of mine. The outside patio is huge with tons of seating, and the decor is very nice. Go have a beer and a slice, or more!“

“This is the best sauce location in Tucson. The management and their carry through for to go orders, are well above par. Professionally, my catering orders are always spot on with all the serving utensils and everything needed without having to double check. Personally, as a mum of two young children and picking up a to go order — drinks are presented in carriers and everything is kindly packed and ready to go (when I don’t have spare hands as it is). The manager and customer service at this grant location are lovely and I would drive across town to use them for catering, even if there is a closer location to my work drop off. Will always give them my business.“

“Made a special trip to Ugly Pizza, 1st takeout, there will be more. Got the pie and a salad home and it was hot and delicious. The combo pizza (specialty pizza) and a giant salad for $38. The atmosphere was comfortable, space heated, and clean at 8pm. Several customers enjoying a beverage and dinner. Parking was fine on a Friday night.“

“This is a good, down to earth Pizza and Italian food place. It's in a bit of a fancy area but this place isn't fancy in the best possible way. Good food, good service. The garlic knots were great. The mozzarela sticks were OK, the pizza was pretty good. Very good value. I would definitely go back. They are doing a good job.“

The wings were sweet, garlicky, and addictive, the dough was amazing, and the garlic crust was next level. Junior helped us out and was super friendly and on point the whole time. Easy five stars and we’ll definitely be back.“

“I really like that Greek salad a lot! I decided to order a calzone for the first time in 20 years and did the Italian beef and Italian sausage with a hot giardiniera and it was perfection! Good place to go watch a game if you don't have cable I don't know why it's not busier there it's a nice little joint to grab a bite to eat. Thankful for one of the few late-night options in the area.“

“I just tried mountain Mike's for the first time. Very impressed. The pizza was quite delicious.
They have three different styles of crust.
A good selection of toppings however they don't have green olives which I would have preferred.
They do have ground beef which is a plus for me.
I ordered a medium, traditional crust, ground beef plus extra beef, and extra cheese. It was delivered quickly It was cooked properly and it was quite tasty. My only complaint was that for ordering double ground beef there was still a very tiny amount on the pizza. That's why I ranked at four stars for food.“
