“It was a wonderful experience as it always is unfortunately, we did not realize that the menu had changed and therefore it was only a brunch menu so we were a bit disappointed because we were looking forward to the mushroom ravioli, which is our favourite nonetheless breakfast. “We visited on Valentine's Day so it was probably unusually busy. The overall ambiance wasn't great, it felt like a basic and noisy pub. Not so great for couples as there were a lot of huge tables. The food was not gourmet but excellent - very tasty. The servers seemed very friendly, competent and experienced but were hampered by the kitchen being overwhelmed. Definitely good value for what we had. Totally okay as a place to grab a good meal - just don't expect a nice cozy ambiance....“

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest hostess (I sadly didn’t catch her name, but she was so welcoming), and the atmosphere instantly felt warm, nostalgic, and just happy. Our server Chelsea was the cutest vibe ever! She fit the place perfectly. Super friendly, personable, and made the whole experience feel really personal and relaxed. You can tell when someone genuinely enjoys what they do, and it shows. The food? Banging. Great prices and seriously delicious. I had a roasted chicken wrap with tzatziki and a bunch of fresh veggies, plus a side salad, and it was SO good. Fresh, flavourful, and filling without being heavy. And the little details?? Instead of the usual mint at the end, they give you a piece of retro bubble gum. Such a fun, nostalgic touch that totally fits the diner’s vibe. Overall, the food, the service, the atmosphere....everything was amazing. I can’t wait to come back. Five and Dime Diner is one of those places that just makes you feel good. 💕 Thanks everyone!“

“Run, don’t walk to Emmaline’s. Everything about this place makes it the perfect dining experience. Our first time there and we were served by chef and owner, Elizabeth, who could not have been more welcoming and engaging. The venue is simply lovely and inviting. The food was spectacular. We sampled the Happy Hour tomato pie as an appetizer and then shared the fresh sheet board with a delicious and perfectly cooked sliced steak and garlicky, buttery spaetzle. We finished with the chocolate cherry bread pudding. Since the menu changes daily, we will go back over and over. A local business that we, Victoria peeps, must support!“

“Fantastic!!!! The food was truly amazing and the prices are so reasonable! The bacon was thick and chewy and crispy- just perfect! Of course the biscuits were exceptional and perfectly cut and toasted. I had the egg and bacon Sammy and added tomatoes and avocado. Perfect!!! Group of 6 all raved! A diverse, spread on a theme, and I'm not a gravy fan and it too was delicious. The special steak had homemade dips and stuff, and the vege was it was incredibly complex and yummy looking. I WILL BE BACK!!! The baked goods looked fantastic, but I'm so full!“

“.🥲Normally have an ok experience. Today though had the Austin Benny andwas very disappointed. When they state porkbelly and you get shaved roast porkbelly that is not seasoned and because it is thinner than their bacon super chewy and distracts from the other flavours of the dish which are okay. If they rubbed it and braised the belly and cut proper thick slices for porkbelly it would do the oppisite and add to the dish 🥲.“

“Today was our first meal at Dosa Paragon - we will be back for the best Indian food in Victoria. We are glad the server recommended Chicken 65 as it was truly delicious alongside the flavourful chutneys. The chef owner chatted with us about the traditional ways and ingredients they use. “We had the pleasure of eating at Four Mile Brew Pub on Sep 2nd, 2024. We were visiting Victoria on a Cruise Ship and a local couple picked this establishment for lunch along with another local couple. The food and service were outstanding, and the building is beautiful inside and out. We ate in the pub area and really enjoyed the experience. The manager really came thru, though. When paying a card case dropped to the ground and we didn't notice it. The manager found it, and seeing a California phone number called and got the house sitter who gave the Cruise Ship information, and then let us know. The manager dispatched an employee to return the card case. The house sitter let us know and we were able to talk to the manager and since the employee was on the way, we were able to meet him and retrieve the case. High praise to the staff! Thanks!“
