Thank-you for letting us rent your GOLDEN VALLEY house. We are so grateful Joyce Wurtele found you on the AIRBNB site! What a RESTFUL NEST for 3 days & 2 nights. The valley views were stunning. We loved interacting with the cows, chickens & of course MONTY. After our cycling days the 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed the dinners you served. What a FEAST to the EYES! Everything was DELICIOUS! “This little coffee shop is everything. The owners are incredibly kind, friendly, always welcoming- they make you feel like family. My son and I agree it’s our favourite. Seriously the best coffee I’ve ever had. A true gem in Shawnigan.“

“The coffee shop at the Butchart Gardens is a decent spot to grab a bite and have a drink of coffee.
It wasn’t something spectacular, but it got the job done. Me and my girlfriend needed a little bit of energy after the ferry ride to the island, and this did the trick.
My main complaint though? It is pretty expensive, considering the already high price of entry to the garden itself.“

“After a busy morning at the Gardens, my husband and I and our friend stopped here for lunch.
This place is kind of like a cafeteria. Some things you carry back to your table on a tray but other things, like the entrees, are brought to your table.
My husband and I each had the Seafood Chowder with fresh bread and a salad. We had been eating so much this trip we decided to go healthy. But we threw our good intensions into the wind by sharing the Wildberry Trifle.
Our friend had the pasta.
Everything was well prepared, well presented and excellent.
This is a sheltered restaurant that protects you from the sun, but it's open too, so there's a gentle breeze. Lots of plants everywhere of course. Great surroundings for your meal.
The service and staff are excellent.“
