“We were there for dinner and had chicken lababdar and lamb vindaloo with some heat, along with rice and garlic naan. Both meals were delicious and had a good amout of heat (both milder and hotter options were available). The service was attentive and very friendly with our server taking time to discuss options. Staff (owner?) and our server both asked how our food was. All in all it was an excellent and pleasant meal. I will definitely go back.“

The patio tables are divine.
Many thanks to the kitchen for consistently creating outstanding entrees, deserts, and tea services.
Service teams were mostly exceptional - especially Arden, Sean, and Neda.
The atmosphere is choice, and the delightful hostesses will do their best to accommodate. The inside window tables have excellent garden views.
On this vacation to Victoria, we visited Butchart Gardens five of the days and dined at the Dining Room all five days.

“Wonderful experience all around! The server Natalie was very attentive & proactively offered replacements upon hearing of some dietary restrictions. She genuinely engaged in conversation & checked on us regularly providing a hot water top-up. The food was delicious with plenty of variety & options. In addition, we had a lovely view of the Italian Gardens.“

“Holy crow, they make good coffee! We stopped in on a whim during our West Island road trip and were blown away by the quality of this roastery. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff helped us with our purchases and gave us some tips for roasting at home. Around the corner (in the same building) is a lovely cafe where you can get a tasty beverage and some lovely treats to go with. A must-do if you’re in the area!“

“I love the atmosphere of the 17 Mile House Pub and the mystery of all those ghosts! Food is great and staff are always cheerful. I live in Victoria but make a point of taking a drive out regularly. I am never disappointed!“

“Service is definitely slow as others have said, but just keep that in mind when you’re going and you won’t be disappointed! This was easily one of the top five meals I’ve had in my life — the presentation was gorgeous and the food was absolutely divine! There was so much unique flavour and the menu has a ton of variety!“

“Had a really good experience at Browns Socialhouse. I ordered the blackened chicken pasta, and it was really good. The nachos were outstanding and probably my favorite part of the meal. Our server was polite and friendly, and the service was great overall. Definitely a place I’d come back to.“

“ordered lasagna last night with cheesy bread. Asked for xtra sauce and it was perfect. BP has the best cheesy bread of any restaurant I have eaten at, and I always try a restaurant's cheese toast as a barometer. Sometimes the simpelist things on the menu are a good indicator of the overall food. I am ordering the same thing again tonight. Let's hope it's as good as last night.“
